Patience is probably a very important quality in many situations in our lives. Maybe there are situations you don't want to go crazy or angry or do anything in general that you may regret just because you were too impatient. For example, snapping at your boss at work then getting fired. (Just a random example I came up with, thankfully that never happened to me and I don't know anyone who snapped at their boss) So how patient are you? Are you peevish? Or are you very patient?

For me, if I'm waiting for something, I can be patient if I manage to distract myself with other things that does not bother me. I can also wait for a while and later I'll end up distracting myself anyways with a phone game or something else. If it's a boring class, I would try to make the subject interesting to me and force myself to focus or think about something else (if I feel like it's too easy). So I'm generally patient with waiting for things. The only exception is if I think it's something urgent (like maybe there is a deadline). Then I'll probably try to find a way to make the deadline on time or a way around it.

One thing I'm not patient at all with are rude people or people that I think are treating me unfairly. I generally snap back at them or treat them the same exact way they treat me. The only exception is when the rude person is in a position of power (I'd be less rude or pretend to be nice and try to resolve the issue if needed). But sometimes my pretending isn't good enough that the rude/stupid person (who may be in power) will probably notice how angry I am.

Enough about me. How about you guys?

Depends on the situation to be honest. I can be patient for things if I wanted to but there's always something that I'm impatient for. My current mood really affects whether or not I'm patient for something. I'm getting a phone next month and I'm more excited than I ever have been for anything in a while. As long as I get a phone eventually, I can be patient for that, but there's going to be a part of me that wants the phone as soon as possible.

I'm highly impatient, with an added ease for getting angry at basically anything.

I think it would be easier to list which things I'm patient with rather than the opposite. Simply speaking, if I feel my time is not being wasted for no reason, then I'm patient. Tends to happen in those situations where waiting is almost a must and you make your mind that it won't be lightning quick.

I can cool down quite easily too if I get distracted with anything. It can be my phone, being lost in my thoughts or simply listening to music. I can also start looking everywhere and get distracted with the most silly things. It helps more often than not because I heat up rather quickly, so having these many means to cool down come in handy.

I am not sure. My co-workers say I am the most patient person they've met. Yet, I feel like I am a highly unstable explosive at times so I'm not sure. But, when it comes to gaming, I am very impatient- lagging, losing, miss firing, and things like that drive me utterly mad- though considering I am 4'11 I am sure I still come across as nice since my yelling probably sounds more like squeaking.

Lunar has part;y said what I would had put in. It depends on how the situation is with me if I need to be really patient or not. Its not always easy being patient with something you really need to wait on. I have to say its worth it though you would always get something good in return on whatever you are waiting for.

When it comes to patience, I'm pretty much 50/50 because I can be the most patient of the bunch, or I can be the first one to cause havoc waiting for something to happen. It can even be the exact same event. Let's say I have an event happening in a week, I could think about it every day and look it up and talk about it all the time. However it's also possible that for the same event and same week long, I am just forget about it completely until it comes around.

When I was younger, I couldn't wait 5 minutes for something to happen. Heck I remember I would go and watch movies and before the movie was even halfway done I would be bored and just wanting to find out what happens already.

I'm not as bad as that anymore, but I'll just randomly stop being patient at times.

Oh, I'm very patient.  There was the time I had appendicitis and the appendix burst while they were cutting me open, I was a patient for nearly a month that time, then I fell and broke my arm, then there was the time somebody ran a red light and clipped my leg, then... um, what was the question again?

It depends on what I'm being patient for. If my arm has been chopped off by a throwing axe on my tomahawk range (Which is a thing in my backyard) and I'm waiting for an ambulance, yes, I'm a touch impatient.

If I'm waiting for dinner and I'm sitting outdoors at a sidewalk table with my wife and we're sipping on some cold adult beverages and watching people walk by and we're in the shade and it's 75 degrees and my wife's legs are on display under the dress she's wearing? I'm completely patient and can wait all day.

For the most part I'm not in any rush to do something and I can wait. I don't have a problem with waiting and it is a skill few people have. I take pride that I don't rush things and I'm not getting upset or angry while I have to wait.

It varies for me. I can be both very patient and impatient at the same time, although about different things. The one thing I am most impatient about though is wanting to get online.

I'm pretty patient actually, so much so that my brother used to call me Job (as in the guy that lost all he had but endured in the Bible. "ye have heard of the patience of Job..."). lol I didn't deserve that compliment, but I was an extremely patient person.

As of the past few years I haven't been quite so patient, and while I believe this is in part due to the fact that I can now see right and wrong (usually) better than I could back then at seventeen or so, and I now have the backbone to stand up for myself and will do so when I feel it's the right thing to do, I sometimes wonder if there's more to it than that. Am I just more mature, or am I more mature AND more jaded less tolerant? I'm really not sure, honestly.

Even so, I'm still a very patient person I think. I can put up with a lot of stuff and even just plain old wait for something that I want to happen for quite some time (I've waited years for thing's to happen before), and I understand that even when I wait for months or years, sometimes those things fall through. That's life. I don't rage about it.

But yeah, I'm really patient still, I just try to know where to draw the line between patient and being a door mat, you know?

I'm in the middle when it comes to patience I can sometimes be patient other times I am very impatient. I'm pretty patient driving mainly because I'm a slow driver so getting behind a slow driver does not bother me at all I'm pretty patient concerning that.

When I'm waiting for storms to develop I can be very patient. In other situations I can be patient. On the other hand I can be impatient. For example when I want results I want them right now. When I need. to meet somebody I want them to show up on time or if they are going to be late then tell my why they are going to be late. When I want stuff done I also want it to be done on time or somebody explain to me why there will be a delay.  I guess all of that is because I have been in leadership positions and I have type A personality.

I'm gonna be honest, I'm an extremely impatient person. Not impatient to to something that's against the law like running a red light, but still very impatient nevertheless.

I am patient with many, many things. I'm actually one of the most patient people that a lot of people know. I'm the most patient person I know, too.

But I am, in fact, intolerant of having to deal with particularly dumb things. I may not react hugely, but I do stop offering my help to people who do test my patience.

In the majority of situations, I'm patient to where it isn't very easy for my anger to rise. When some forgetful lazy person at my school forgets to give me my pencil back after I was lending it to them, I don't find it a big deal. But I'm slightly angry about it because my parents payed good money for that pencil.

On the other hand, when someone spreads rumors about me or purposely annoys me, I can easily show my anger and impatience. Typically that happens with my siblings since I live with them every day XD For example, it's nice that my younger brother is obsessed with me but sometimes I really need alone time. If he's too clingy I tend to try pushing him away by snapping at him to bug somebody else. Thankfully, I'm improving but I used to practically be unable to tolerate others annoying me just because it annoyed me. Looking back on that, I find that silly.

Overall, I find life too short to stay angry/hold a grudge, but sometimes I'll convince myself that's a good idea.

I am very impatient when it comes to learning things, as I try to get things down almost immediately. I usually achieve it, but I sometimes fail and it drives me nuts. The only thing I am patient for is waiting for games and TV shows, as they aren't coming out until their release date, and the possibility of delays is always in my mind, so I'm not too worried about them.

When I was younger, my patience can be a bit thin, now I can be more patient on a lot of things, even if I am in a really bad mood. Lately, I haven't been in the best of moods, just some things in my personal life haven't been good at all. Well this time of year at my job is very very busy, and we are working early mornings, and 8 to 9 hours a day, where we normally work 5 to 6, well, lately there is this one guy at work testing my patience. Now some would say their patience is tested with how busy work is, granted that's part of the job, but this guy they hired about 3 1/2 months ago, just doesn't know what in the hell he is doing. I really feel he doesn't care either.

Now granted, some people will do that when they are a temporary hire for a job, and they know they won't get hired full time, but I have always felt that if you have a chance of getting on full time, you go for it, you bust your ass and work as hard as you can. Well this one guy worked in one spot, and didn't work out, they had him in another position, he did alright there, now they have him working with me, now he's suppose to help the people around me, and when they need help, or he needs to do something in my section, he is off in the old spot, doing whatever, when he should be helping us. When I tell him a few tasks to do, he does maybe half of them, and I have to tell him again. It's really frustrating and it pisses me off, and I almost went off at him because my patience are that thin.

If it was a younger me, I'd probably just lash out at him and tell him what I really think of him lol, but I haven't....yet, it's only busy for another 3 to 5 weeks, so I think I can stay patient enough.

I think I am a lot more patient now that I was when I was younger. I'm still very impatient with certain things, such as people that drive slow (I usually drive 80-85 in a 55) and waiting for elevators (I'd much rather take the stairs). However, when it comes to people, I've become a lot more patient, and I think a lot of that has to do with dealing with kids 8 hours per day, 5 days a week, for 9 weeks for the past 3 summers.

To give you an example, there was a kid in my group last year that was an absolute nightmare. Most off my campers were mature enough to understand rules and treat me and my co-counselor with respect, since there were all between 11 and 13 years old. Not this kid. He had no respect for us at all, repeatedly go into fights with other kids over the stupidest things, and had to be reprimanded at least 10 times a day for his behavior. I would always be the one to deal with him though, because my co-counselor had the tendency to flip on him because she couldn't deal with some of the things he would say to her. I, on the other hand, had more patience with the insults he would hurl at us, and only ever had to scream at him once. Instead I would usually pull him away from the situation, and walk him through what happened and what he should have done differently. So in that aspect, I am a pretty patient person.

TL;DR: Patient with people, not patient when it comes to waiting.

I'm not a patient person at all when it comes to other people. I always warn people who want my advice or want me to help them learn something (usually math) that I can't work with people who don't even understand anything of what I'm trying to explain. It's so frustrating to try and explain something in the simplest terms and make the dumbest comparisons possible only to still have it go in one ear and out the other. Then they get upset when I tell them there's no helping them lol.

Typing this I realized that I probably come across as rude when that happens but I'm not going to waste both of our times for nothing. It sucks because I thought teachers were really cool when I was young but the more I had to listen to classmates being stupid the more I realized how hard of a job it must be. I worked as a secretary assistant in my high school after graduating and plenty of my old teachers told me how they sometimes can't be bothered when nobody seems to have any clue of what's on the blackboard. Then they are somehow the ones to blame when their idiot student gets a bad grade because they couldn't bother paying attention in class.

Stopping myself there bc I can ramble on about this for decades lol, the education system is going downhill fast now that special ed students are allowed in schools not designed for them. Dumbass decision by our government.

tgags123 : I know nothing about driving but isn't going almost 30 over the limit illegal as hell?
