I denounce my allegiance to the flag if either trump or hilarity is elected; that's just a precursor

I don't want either of them as President.

welp, looks like you might have to denounce your allegiance. doesn't look like anyone else has a chance of winning.

I'm right there with you. I honestly don't consider myself to be an American because I feel like I have no representation. Patriotism has been redefined as an unconditional trust, respect and support for your country, and by extension, the government. Maybe it's the Cherokee in me talking, but my allegiance is with people who share my belief in and love of freedom, wherever they are. Those are my friends, my family and my nation, and wherever we stand, we're on sovereign soil.

That said, I hope Trump wins. The unfortunate fact is that Gary Johnson is a nobody and... well... Jill Stein is Green Party. That's all I need to know about her. Both candidates are jokes, but Trump isn't anti-gun.

EDIT: Missed the joke. : /

Hillary hides emails, Trump hides tax returns, Government hides aliens at Area 51 and I'm sure millions of registered voters hide their marital affairs on Ashley Madison.

When Trump said "They are bringing drugs, they're rapists" he was probably talking about himself and all of government. It's no secret we plunder and rape other countries for their oil and opium supply.

When Hillary said she worked her whole life to help children.... does that include the ones who get aborted or do those not count?

I really don't care, the whole country is wack as far as I'm concerned.

You know, I know it's oversaid a lot, but, I don't think Trump is qualified whatsoever to be the President. Hillary's not gonna be great either, but I would much, much, MUCH rather have her than Trump. Trump may not be a racist himself, but, his supporters sure are. I'd like to share a video of Trump supporters on here, but, I'm not sure if I should post it for how much language is in it, and, the racist terms they use. As well as the fact that Hillary absolutely demolished Trump at the first debate. Trump denied stuff he's said in the past such as the fact that he thinks Global Warming is a Hoax made by the Chinese. Mike Pence on Tuesday also claimed Trump didn't say things that Tim Kaine had brought up, but, we know that is not true, due to this ad

I'm also not terribly keen on the idea and have debated leaving the country when either one of them are elected. I'm still considering this at this point but current funds are very lacking at the same time. So my hands are adequately tied.

Juliaisme123 : To be fair, it's not really news that Donald has contradicted himself on everything he's ever said at some time or another and it could be argued that his views have changed after having been more involved in and better educated on foreign issues, but I won't defend him denying that he ever said it.

Saying that Putin is a strong leader does not imply that he is a great leader. An example is that Stalin was also a very strong leader.

I won't defend him saying that people should be punished for having an abortion, even though I'm whole-heartedly against it.

I think the bulk of illegal aliens should be deported because we can't just make them all citizens without knowing who they are and what they do and we can't keep them here without their input into the system.

Crimea was a region that, at the time, had declaired autonomy, if I'm not mistaken.

If we're not going to racially profile, then we need to shut off Muslim immigration to the US until we can come up with a more effective method of screening people. It's not racism, it's not xenophobia, it's in the interest of national security and more importantly, the safety of the citizenry. It would be exactly the same if Sikhs, Jains, Taoists, Hindus or Bhuddists formed international terror organizations that were trying to infiltrate.

Global warming may very well exist, but if it does, it's cyclical. I don't believe for a moment that there is any man made global warming.

Trump wants to blame everything on China. Clinton will turn us into China.

It could also be argued that they both lost the first debate. Neither one of them touched anything that mattered with a ten foot pole and did nothing but talk themselves up and run the other down. Everyone lost that debate, including us.

I have this strange, paranoid feeling that Obama will pull some strings in order to declare a martial law and have a third term.

I think both of them are gonna screw America over (even more than the last 2 presidents, which says a lot). I would have preferred Bernie to win, and for the Republican candidate, Ted Cruz. I prefer Hillary, since we'll likely do a little bit better than if Trump is elected.

m0ssb3rg935 : "I think the bulk of illegal aliens should be deported because we can't just make them all citizens without knowing who they are and what they do and we can't keep them here without their input into the system." Call me nitpicky or whatever, but illegal aliens, is a harsh term, no? I mean, these are people we're talking about, not Martians. I mean I'm not a fan of illegal immigration, but the American immigration system is very long and tedious for most people. I mean, why would they come illegal, if they could come in legally? Most people are not evil. It's a long process, and for a lot of people, they can't take the terrible situation they have at their home country any longer. I know you'll probably disagree with my sentiments on this, but whatever.

"If we're not going to racially profile, then we need to shut off Muslim immigration to the US until we can come up with a more effective method of screening people. I like how people just casually say "let's prevent Muslims from immigrating to the US". This is the world's second biggest religion we're talking about, and the most rapidly growing one as well. It will be very hard, if not impossible to keep every single Muslim out of the country. Also, these "Muslim background checks" end up doing harm as well, to people that aren't even Muslim. NEWSFLASH, everyone with a headcovering IS NOT Muslim. Also, I think America has a pretty big Muslim population as it is. We already have people rioting because of racial tension. How do you think the Muslim community will react to their fellow Muslim brothers and sisters not being allowed in? The more radical ones might end up doing exactly what you are trying to prevent.

Anyone who wants to move to Canada can have a temporary spot in my basement. My Landlord might not like it but he doesn't need to know

In complete honesty though it makes me a little worried about how big of an influence the USA is to the whole world and the kinds of people that can become the president. Doesn't look too good in my opinion for a lot of the world really.

Neither one of them is fit for the position. It's funny too because the year I am actually old enough to vote these are the candidate selections......no thank you. Trump is a loudmouth that contradicts himself, and Hillary is an oily snake that supposedly has a horrible temperament behind the scenes. If only Bernie were still in the running, I would vote for him in a heartbeat. Not even kidding...

MoblinGardens : Is that space still available? I don't think I want to stick around when either Hillary or Trump become the president.

RDay13 : I realize that there are a number of people who come here for opportunity and that they may not have the resources to go through the process, but there are also great amounts of people who jump the fence, find some slave labor for a few months, send the money home and bail. It's fine if people want to become Americans, but they have to want to be Americans. They can't just leech off of tax payer money and not give anything back other than the very, very small amount of sales tax that they put in. This of course could be solved with tax reform, but not screening people is still detrimental to public safety. Several years ago when I lived in Nashville, a very large portion of drunk driving fatalities were at the hands of illegal immigrants. If the process was any easier, it would be redundant. Now, having said that, I wouldn't be completely opposed to opening places where illegals could voluntarily come to us to become citizens, but it would essentially be like going through the system, even though they're already here. Anyone who doesn't express any interest in being naturalized and proceeds to try to fly under the radar should be deported because they obviously don't want to be an American.

What would help is if the resident Muslim population would work with us to flush out the extremists. If they would step up and actively work with law enforcement against recruiters and help shut down mosques that are radicalizing. If anyone wants to riot because we're trying to fight terrorism, that's fine. That just means that they've come out of the woodwork and the National Guard can move in.

I want to move to canada if things get hairy. I don't like hillary and I'm neutral on trump, but I think trump would be a better choice. His focus is on protecting the country and hillary isn't very trustworthy.

I have friends in canada, and canada is a pretty neat-o place. I'm honestly hoping to get there eventually.
