New season of South Park premieres Sept 14th (at least as according to Wikipedia), and season 3 of Rick and Morty comes out sometime in December. I combined both titles into one thread because the shows are pretty similar.  I've seen a bit of a season 3 sketch for Rick and Morty and it looks ah-maze-ing.

What about you? Excited for one/both/neither?

Is the 3rd season of Rick and Morty confirmed? I've been waiting a bit for it so I'm really happy to hear that it'll be a thing soon

I don't watch south park so idk but I definitely like Rick and Morty

South Park has been an interesting show to follow. I remember watching it (and being told to not watch it by my parents) when if first came out and I was in high school. I thought it was funny and the stories were goofy. There was some political discussion but it was just a bunch of silliness, surrounded by fart noises, stupid jokes, Jew and fat people jokes, and it made not a lot of sense.

Then South park evolved. Watching the ascension of Randy Marsh, who quickly outpaced Cartman as the best character in the show, was awesome. Then it became more political. South Park could comment on newsy controversy within a week because of their style of animation. Other cartoons couldn't react so fast. It was awesome to see how political, satirical, and aware South Park is.

I can't wait for the next round of shows. They're on top of things, the writing is fantastic, and there's a balance of humor and social commentary not found in much tv programming. I'm excited to see what they do next.

As for Rick and Morty, I have never seen it. Is it worth my time?

Ghostbear1111 : I was thoroughly impressed with the last season of South Park; it was actually the first one I've been able to keep up with and I looked forward to each episode. 

Rick and Morty is definitely worth watching. I find that as the episodes progress, I like the show more.

I'm excited for new episodes of South Park, but I don't follow it too closely. I kind of just watch the episodes whenever they're on, more so than taking the time to watch them in order / as they're aired.

As for Rick and Morty, that show is among my top 3. I actually follow that one per episode aired. Rick reminds me so much of myself in an emotional aspect and way of thinking. This is the first I've heard about Season 3 being confirmed, and I'm psyched for it. Been psyched for it since I saw the end of Season 2.

Like you have no idea. I've been rewatching the show any chance I get, and it's so amazing!
The Mobile Game and Comics give me my fix while I still wait for season 3, but I honestly just can't wait!
