How annoyed or angry or you get when your name gets misspelled by people?

Whoops. I called you the wrong name for the first year I knew you. Lol I tried though!

And my real name gets misspelled frequently and I'm just used to it. The reason being I have a unisex name (though originally it was only a male name) and I use the female spelling of it because I'm named after my grandpa and he spelled it that way. It gets pronounced right all the time though because it's such a common name around here.

As for being mispronounced... My username. I have only heard my username pronounced properly one time. Friends try to get it right and I appreciate that, but they never have succeeded (except for one guy on Hitbox). That's what happens when you choose a foreign word for a username I guess.

Also a friend at high school never got my name right (he always called me Daniel). Personally I don't get annoyed at it and I tend to not correct them for some reason (which is probably why I have various nicknames such D-dog,Deelan,Dill etc).

I am sure your gran didn't mean it well you know when people tend to get old they may misspell your name. So it helps to remind them from time to time.

I have a really simple first name but the reason it gets misspelled is because people tend to forget my name. So instead of 'Sanna' I'm often 'Sanni'. I've stopped correcting people so in turn I misspell their name on purpose, just for the heck of it. My surname is a whole different case and I understand if people misspell it, so that doesn't bother me at all.

And then I go and think why they do that, if its a simple name its something not to get easily misspelled not unless they don't know the right way to say it at first. Sorry that's happening for you its a good way of how you handle the situation to turn the tables on them though.
