Although most people I've met read more fiction than nonfiction books, at some point, most people have read a nonfiction book or two, if only for school and classes. One of the nonfiction books that really made a deep impression on me a long time ago was Night by Eliezer "Elie" Wiesel. Although it's been years since I last read it, I'll always remember the imagery from the book very vividly in my mind, as it pertains to the events of the Holocaust. In short, Mr. Wiesel wrote a detailed account of his time in Auschwitz to recount the events that transpired in the concentration camps. Sadly, Mr. Wiesel passed away near the beginning of July this year (the 2nd), but his contributions to the world to combat "indifference, intolerance and injustice" will be remembered for years to come.

In the past, I also enjoyed reading more science fiction or medical fiction books (for instance, the books by Michael Crichton), but in recent years, I've begun to enjoy reading medical literature and medical nonfiction books. What kinds of nonfiction books do you read (if you read any at all) and could you recommend a few good ones/books that you liked, even if they are textbooks? =P Yes, recipe books count, too... lol

If I can remember well in the past I used to read a lot of non fanfiction books. But, sadly can't remember all of them or most of them at least. I enjoyed like reading a lot of books in the past non fanfictions I mean because I made the time to. But, now when I think about it.....I stopped doing it which I find rather sad I did try and pick it up again which I found wasn't so easy to do. :/

Please correct me if I am wrong. There was Roald Dahl, Jacqueline Wilson, Dr Seuss and goosebumps are the books I used to read a lot in the past.

I prefer reading the more history-oriented books when I read non fiction, although I'm not sure if there are any non fiction types of books other than historically oriented ones, so...

The 'Killing' series by Bill O'Reilly was really good, I'm not sure how much of the information was accurate, but Killing Lincoln, Killing Kennedy, and Killing Jesus were all good reads, again, by Bill O'Reilly. I have read others, namely a book on the American Revolution that I can not remember the name of at the moment, but I've read a lot of history books, so...xD

Would Tom Sawyer count? That's based off of factual events right?

My favorite non fiction book right now would probably be the only pirate at the party which is a book by one of my favorite musicians Lindsey Stirling.
