Anglerge is an enemy from Mega Man X that appears in Launch Octopus’s stage twice. The first one can suck you towards them, and the second one can suck and push you away. Both can also send four snake (probably) robots at the player. The location of both Anglerge’s are also both different- the first one is in an area underwater without any hazards (excluding the Anglerge), and the second one has two spike pits which make the sucking and pushing power a lot more dangerous.

In the PSP remake of Mega Man X, Anglerge has a defense thing on the front, and you can’t hurt it unless you destroy the angler head on top of it’s head. It also gains the ability to ram into you.



Extra Tidbit- There was originally supposed to be three Anglerge’s in Mega Man X, and it probably would have been placed between the first and last Anglerge due to the fact that it can push but not pull you, and it’s enemy ID is also between the first and last Anglerge.

Oh yeah I remember this thing. The first one was easy to deal with in Mega Man X. The second one was a pain due to little ground to stand on. It does its best to send you onto the spikes for an instant death. Thankfully, there are two weapons that take it out quick

tornadocam : The second one was a lot harder, but I found out that if you decide to hug the left side of the screen you can usually avoid falling into the spikes.

And what were those two weapons that destroy it quickly? I usually don't experiment with weapons so I'm clueless lel.

Storm Eagle's Weapon does quick work on it. I think the boomerang weapon works well too but I save it cause that is the bosses weakness. I think Sting Chameleon's weapon does a lot of damage too.
