HeavyMetalGamer : That's fine doing a room can be a hassle especially when it comes to the decorating part of it. Unless people have a good reason to do their room I do suggest as you just said to leave it how it is. If you are happy with how the room is. Not unless there is an area you want to change in the room. People are quite picky with how they want the section to be like. But, I think its good for it to be like that, since it shows its what they want it to be.

I would go with a Japanese influence and have something very simple, elegant, brightly lit, and basic. I spend almost no time in my room, except for sleeping and such, and on occasion my kids will come in to jump on my bed.

I like the tatami mat because it's more comfortable and when I lie down in the current mattress we have, I feel like I'm in a scoop of mashed potatoes that is slowly going upward.

I'd also pick some simple reeds or dry grasses in vases and maybe a waterfall or running water feature that can burble away at night to help me relax. It would be an escape from everywhere else but I'd use it sparingly so I wouldn't get bored of it and I wouldn't associate it with bad energy.

Ghostbear1111 : Yeah that's the thing about Japan I love their colours and arts, and how they do them. I would have something like that too if I wanted too. Just seeing their wallpapers in a way calms you down also makes you to smile as well. Japan has always been that one special country which has things that people would like. So I can relate to do with your post and explaining as of why to do with that.

My theme would be baseball, movies, and books. I'd have a few full shelves of books, a ton of posters for movies, and I would have a lot of baseball and movie memorabilia all over the place, whether it's props or replica stuff, signed stuff, or whatever. I have a lot of stuff like that now, but all stored away in boxes and bags because I have nowhere to put them lol.

zanderlex : Wow really? I half thought about this since I was pretty sure you would had gone for persona theme since you love it so much. But, these themes also suit you as well since you also like them. You have a lot of props and other things stored away, because you have nowhere to put them? I do hope maybe one day you can make use of them, like well if you were to get a bigger room, and to decorate it.

Eniitan : Eh, I would get Persona related stuff but most of the stuff is way too expensive. If I had the money, I'd definitely get one of those cool statues of Yu, but they go for like $60 to $200, so they are out of the question, but maybe I could do with one poster if it looks good enough.

zanderlex : Oh yeah I forgot....themes like those tends to be like very expensive to buy, and I was so sure that you had some of the themes already such as posters or a doll. Thanks for posting to clarify that for me. @.@

Basically, my room would be something like a combination of a game room/arcade crossed with a work shed. I wouldn't need anything big, just enough room to fit all my hobbies into. I don't much like big, empty rooms. It wouldn't need to be colorful; a simple dark gray for the walls and ceiling and some sort of carpet that's not terribly luxurious. I don't need a big bed with a fancy frame and foot and headboards, just a simple twin size mattress on cheap bed railing. The room itself would be humble. Then I'd have tables and desks to accommodate the fairly large and always growing collection of games, consoles and controllers, TVs, a desk and a custom PC build, a work bench for handloading firearms cartridges, some equipment for simple gunsmithing and hooks in the walls for my gun collection (when I get one). I'd also have the windows covered with the room dimly lit and I'd keep it pretty cool. I like dark, cool rooms.

m0ssb3rg935 : Wow thats....rather usual combination of stuff you have listed here. I wouldn't lie, but its really cool how you described it because I was able to imagine. To each their own. There would be something of that I would take on as well to add into my room. There are some I already have, and don't have the other half which you have listed. This type of idea I would go with as well like when I was told to pick my bed my mum said I am getting a double. And I said I don't want a double why? It takes up too much space in the room. Plus sleeping in it alone makes me cold I've had that experience before I told her I want a single not a double so she said ok. My mum has something fancy, but I wouldn't let that happen for me I just want a bed I can access easily enter in and out. 

sonicbros : That's actually nice you know. In a way it gives off that warm call feeling as if you are swimming. I wouldn't think it would make you drown although people may think otherwise towards that.
