From where I'm from, I can't watch television. I payed for cable quite consistently, but many channels aren't providing anymore. It seems most of those channels have stopped providing for cable and have moved to being exclusively digital, which is a problem. With the advent of Netflix and the Internet, it almost seems highly unlikely to have a reason to watch television. Gone are the days of watching Saturday morning cartoons and Anime on TV. Without going digital, you can't really watch them anymore.

What do you think? Do you even watch Television in the slightest? Do you prefer using the Internet? Is Television truly meaningless? Elaborate, if you will. Thanks truly.

Nope, when we had television, we spent more time browsing through channels than watching tv. Crappy tv shows on top of never-ending subliminal advertisements trying to tell you that you need this or that YUCK. People are fed up with television and its advertisements, and many are jumping ship to the internet.

I don't have cable or watch TV anymore. Instead, I have this cool little thing called a Roku box that is provided with Youtube, Netflix, and channels that you would usually find on cable, though not as much. Honestly, I prefer the Roku box over cable, since you don't have to make any monthly payments towards the Roku box. And when I want to watch anime, I just find a site on my computer and watch it that way, unless Netflix has it.

I generally don't watch television. I mean, it's on because the rest of the family live off of the thing. But when I'm with them I'm on my laptop, not really paying attention to the TV. I really don't feel the need to watch it because I can just watch whatever's being played online, which hardly happens anyway because I dislike most television shows.

I'm always watching TV, but only when I'm home which isn't often. If it's not too late, as soon as I get home and take a shower, no matter what time it is, I watch TV until midnight. So if it's 8PM, I watch for 4 hours, and sometimes I'll be on my phone during it, but I still watch.

I watch TV. I have direct TV so I get MLB Extra innings and NFL Sunday Ticket. Those are the two things I watch the most. When baseball or football are not going on I don't watch that much TV. We had Cable when I was very young. But they started to cut back on the channels and we were not getting much. So in the mid 90's my parents switched to satellite

I use to have Directv for like 10 year's till I finally cancelled it a few day's ago. I just thought It was a waste of money in the end and I'm on the computer most of the time. Now that I have Exodus, Netflix and Hulu I see no point in having Directv anymore.

I feel much like you do.
There really is no reason to subscribe to a TV service when I can get everything online anyway.
I might not see something the day or hour it comes out on, but that isn't a big deal and its more convenient to be able to watch when I want to, albeit a little bit after its aired.

I have cable, but I rarely watch tv or anime anymore, because I no longer enjoy it with my depression increasing more and more everyday. Instead I play with my psp vita, xbox360, and 3DS for entertainment.

I used to watch it all the time before having regular computer access. Nowadays I usually only watch it if I don't have access to my laptop or while doing something else on my laptop and having it on in the background like right now. Unless I happen to catch a movie I like. Really I could probably manage fine without it. When there's a show I want to watch I can just find it online and watch it at whatever time, don't care about the size of the screen. While I may have to wait a bit until it releases on the internet I don't really mind that since there is no show I follow religiously. I also don't have to deal with ad segments. Looking past that I also prefer gaming or watching youtube to pass time usually, so unless I start to get really into a show I rarely watch TV or any show that usually airs on it.

Nope hardly now. Or barely at all since I am on my laptop most of the time. I wouldn't really say there is much interesting going on nowadays with things on tv. But in the past I used to watch it a lot, and I mean a lot. Back when I never was on the computer as much. That is how much new awesome things on tv back then always captivated my attention. And when I finished one show another great show or film would come on. And before I knew it lol it was time for bed. XD

The only things I would still watch would be the walking dead or fear the walking dead. But not on tv though this would be like online.

I pay for it because I get a cheaper deal for high speed Internet if it's included, bug I don't watch it, there's not too many things I'd want to watch on the TV that I couldn't already watch on the Internet. Plus I hate all of the Corporate media channels, especially Clinton News Network.

Honestly, I guess I don't really watch TV anymore and that's thanks largely in part of Netflix and Hulu. The only thing I'll watch on actual TV is sports ( primarily football games, and NFL Network during the offseason ) and the newer TV shows that I watch like Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead. But you know, I don't mind it at all. I used to watch all the Saturday morning cartoons and sometimes at night during the week, but that was in the mid 90s. So most of those shows don't even air anymore.

Now I watch my favorite shows on Netflix and Hulu. There are even some animes I like to watch that are on there. I mean I watch Death Note a lot since its on Netflix, and Claymore is another one that I watch and its on Hulu. And I have a site that I can go too if I ever get in the mood to watch any anime. So without TV...I'm good. I guess I would say that TV is
almost meaningless to me.

I kind of watch T-V, but at the same time I really don't watch T-V unless I'm laying down to fall asleep.

I almost always have my T-V on, but I'm generally just listening to some thing like Comedy Central in the back ground while I'm on the computer through out the day. Either that or Cartoon Network anyway. I really like to laugh, so I only watch shows and / or cartoons that make me happy to watch when I actually take the time to have it on at all. Most of the time I'd rather be on the computer or just listening to music, although the T-V will pretty much always be left on in the back ground regardless

I leave the T-V on at a really low volume when I'm sleeping along with having a fan on simply for the white noise of it. Along the same lines of what I said before, I really like to just watch something on Comedy Central or Cartoon Network to keep myself in a good mood as I'm trying to fall asleep. Comedy Central plays a lot of Stand Up and Saturday Night Live about the time I'll lay down, so those are cool to watch and keep me happy. Cartoon Network is generally just coming back on after Adult Swim finishes for the night when I'm laying down, and most of the time I like the shows they have playing. Things like Gumball or Teen Titans Go are easy to fall asleep to watching and I really enjoy watching something I can just turn my brain off while watching.

Sorry for the complex mixed answer lol XD

My family doesn't have a TV subscription of any kind (ever since I was relatively young- like 9 or 10) so no I don't watch television. When I want to watch a show I generally just find where I can watch it on the Internet. And considering I don't watch TV often at all, I have never really missed it xp.

The irony is that I have a wide flat screen TV that's only used to be the monitor for my computer.

Honestly no I don't watch television, I haven't watched Television in over 2 month's now. For the most part I'm streaming movies or television series thru apps on my phone (mainly because they don't have ads or commercials) . I think what also is making me not watch television is the crappy station line ups and poor quality shows that are being air'ed, that and well between working and school I just don't have time to watch television nor is it how I wish to spend my free time.

I still watch television. I mean, despite Netflix, it is very limited in its quality shows and the like, and the Internet is a much better source for a lot of things that it has, such as anime. Hulu is much more diverse than Netflix will ever be, but the ads really are a killer for its availability to non paying users. Beyond that, of course, there are various streaming services, such as Amazon and you tube, but there is one thing that television will always have over them. That, mainly, is the fact that television will always, always have seasons before Netflix and the like will.

Even with that though, there's only one reason that I watch television, and that is sports. The NFL Network channel on Direct TV keeps me up to the minute on anything related to the National Football League whenever I tune in, while the NFL Sunday ticket lets me see every football game that I want to see all season long. If not for those two things, then honestly, I probably wouldn't even watch TV except for the comedy shows that my step mom loves watching.

I watch a good bit of television. Whenever I come home from school I watch something like Judge Judy or the amazing world of gumball and stuff like that. Those kinds of shows are just funny and enjoyable to watch, and they get me ready to do all of my work and stuff like that.

I also watch TV before I go to bed because why not lol.

I stick with TV and don't use internet most of the time unless I really want to watch something specific.
