Oh my goodness. I can't believe it even still works after all this time... I was seaching through some old junk at my grandfather's house, and just happened to discover it. And not only that, two of the games I bought for it were also there as well! This was like the last thing that I was expecting to happen to me today. I can't wait to take it back home and relive all those good memories. Man, I'm probably gonna spent hours endlessly playing.

That's really cool, even though I have a PS4, I would be stoked if I found an old PS2 lying around my house because I would love to play some of the games again that I can't play now.

zanderlex : Yes, this is great. I just finished playing one of the games. It was fun. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed myself like this.

That's awesome man. I would love to have my old PS2 and GameCube back. What games were still there if you don't mind me asking?

Oh man that's old school! I used to have that one but then um....it stopped working after many many years so. Afterwards I got the slim one and still do till this day. Seeing that old ps2 brings back memories. Its reminding me of how old we are now getting since we have other consoles such as ps4 and stuff.

That is awesome. There are hundreds of amazing PS2 games, man. I've been letting my friend borrow mine for about a year now, and every so often, I start to get jittery about not having it... Most of the games I own are PS2. I used to have a backwards compatible PS3, but it broke while I was playing Bayonetta (Not sure why, just crashed, then the light turned yellow, which it is not supposed to do.)... So, I got a new one, but it isn't backwards compatible... I wasn't too happy about that...

So, go and enjoy your PS2, but don't play for too many hours at a time, those things can get really hot.

These were some of my favorites. XII was one of the few final fantasy games I never beated, so I'm really excited to start playing from the part where I originally left off.

Eniitan : Tell me about it. The nostalgia nearly overtook me upon finding my old ps2 again. It was truly a glorious moment. One I won't soon forget.

MrBeingcool1 : Did I!? Oh man... Where to start? Dragon Ball Z Budokai 1,2, and 3. Every spyro game in the legend trilogy. Final Fantasy X. Resident evil 1, 3, and 4. Yugioh duelist of the roses. And there was quite a few more. This console was one of my all time favorites. I remember spending hours playing these games like every day after I came home from school.

Really? Again? : No promises there. I'm probably going to be up all night long playing Soul Cailbur 3 along. But In all the seriousness, I'll be careful about how long I play it, so no worries.

Final Weapon : Do you need suggestions on what other ps2 games you might wanna try out? I know a lot since well ps2 is my most fav console. And your gonna play SoulCalibur 3? Have fun! I love that game also. Are you going to make your own character to fight with? Or do the story mode first to complete each characters stories? Oh! Don't forget there is something else in the game you can play call Chronicles. I dunno have you played it before? Its pretty fun to play.

Eniitan : Yes, please. That'd be great. Now that I have a ps2 again, I'd like to try out a few games that I never got to play. And did I play Soul Calibur 3? Sure did. Just last night. Conveniently, my memory card was also still intact, so I was able to continue from the part I last saved. I unlocked all the disciplines, characters, and even created a character that resembled Kosmos. Unfortunately, though, I was never able to defeat strife in chronicles 20. Man, he had Soul Edge and owned all of my units like in two hits. Kinda made me wish Siegfried's version of Soul Calibur was also available in that mode.

Final Weapon : Could you possibly list me the ps2 games you have either completed or had played please? So then I know the right games to list for you. Yeah with chronicle you get challenging stuff to do. The main characters who are your enemies were at a ridiculous higher lv. I did mange to beat them due to my good strategy its all about knowing the right moves to hit them, and yeah I faced strife before he was a real annoyance. I did mange to beat him by a slim chance. XD

I tried playing the first two games before I didn't understand the controllers properly and no matter how hard I tried I still wasn't playing it as it should. Which is why I find the 3rd one at best to play. And the storyline is really grabby in a way it makes you to think how it all happened and all. Which makes the game so fun to play if you don't understand the storyline, people would have to go to the first game to get a grab on what happened here and there.

That's awesome! I have a PS2 in storage, it's a slim and I have over 20 games for it, all being really high quality games. Too bad my mother won't let me go get it, pretty sure it still works.

Nice find there!

The PS2 is such a great system so it's awesome that you just so happened to find one. I still have my PS2 and won't plan on giving it away for anything, even though I don't play it.

The system has a great selection of games. So have fun reliving some of your favorites as well as trying out new ones(if you do try out new games that is).

Nice! I'm so happy for ya . The Ps2 is a very good console. Mine is, like, 9 years old, and it's still in perfect condition! I always play DBZ BT3 whenever I use my console. So, what are your favorite Ps2 games?

Dark Cloud, very, very yes. XD

One of my favorite games is Growlanser: Generations, it comes with Growlanser 2 and 3, both are great. The combat is a bit different. It's a real time tactics based, no grid combat. You select where you want your character to move, and they head there, sometimes getting stuck on trees, you have to tell them to move around things, when they get near enemies, they automatically attack. Or, you can do what I do, and just have your spellcasters charge up Earthquake and just smash every enemy on the screen. They give you tons freedom as how you want to train your main character. You can make him a spellcaster (Like I always do, Earthquake is OP), a heavy hitting fighter, or a super speedy attacker with multiple attacks. Also, it has multiple endings and your choices affect what happens later in the game. You can also cast and stack buffs before combat, so you don't have to spend, like, 5 turns buffing your party in combat. A really great game, that doesn't seem to be very well known.

I also would recommend the Wild Arms games. Wild West JRPG, with a great story and fantastic music. The first two are on the PS1, and then 3, 4, and Alter Code: F  is on PS2. Wild Arms 2 is one of my all time favorite games ever, but the others are pretty fun. If you like JRPGs with some puzzle solving.

I'd also recommend the Silent Hill games, if you like to play horror games.

Beyond Good and Evil, is another great game, if you can find it.

Also, tons and tons of other games. XD

Oh, and I played so much Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelists of the Roses. My strategy is kind of cheap though... Makes Blue Eyes White Dragon child's play. I keep fusing cards to turn into Pumpking the King of Ghosts and make them all just sit in Defense Mode until I have, like, 5 of them at 9,999 attack and def... I feel so bad doing it, but it works every time. Even if they use traps to kill them off, I can usually make more. XD

That's great news!
Actually I found my PS2 from my childhood three years ago and it was very dusty. Unfortunately it couldn't read any of the games that I put inside the console because it was one of those old PS2 slims or all the games were badly scratched. My nostalgic chance of playing this wonderful console is gone but that's ok because some of my favorite PS2 games were released for the Gamecube as well.
