The transit of Mercury happens on May 9th. Most of you will probably have to catch this online, as it takes specialized equipment, like a solar filter for your telescope. But at least it happens more often than Venus' transition, as Mercury's orbit is a lot faster. Next transition of Mercury is November 19th, 2019 compared to the next one for Venus which won't occur til 2117. Anyway, here is a link for more information on this amazing celestial event.

This sounds cool, I'm definitely going to watch it online since I don't have the equipment. Thank you for telling is about this, I had no idea this was a thing until now.

I probably won't bother watching it. I might change my mind if it happens to take place when I'm available online to see it. If not, then that will be a definite no for me.

I'll probably check it out if I remember at the time. I love seeing these kinds of things. It puts me in awe all the amazing sights to behold in space if you look at something at just the right angle. I remember seeing a solar eclipse as a kid and I've loved these things ever since.
