Hello! I am Dinkxx.Glad to be your new member.
I am an old school gamer. I love word games, original NES games like Mario and the like, card and dice games, and P1 games like RE,Crash Bandicoot and my all-time favorite Chronocross.I guess I have a broad range.I am so old I love to play D&D. I even wrote my own adventures. I can't wait to see what kind of board games are listed.
I am a sarcastic Waffle House waitress that works the overnight shift. You will find I have a slightly messed up sense of humor and I am a sharer. The tales I can tell you about when we go "Jerry Springer" at work are always good for a giggle, feel free to ask me about them.

Welcome to the site!

Old school gamers are always welcome. After all, this is a place for you to relive your past. For youngsters like me, it's just a door of time.

It's nice to hear the PSX left a good impression on an old school gamer like you. Being the very first console I ever owned, it also left a good impression in me. I also love card games, be it traditional games like poker and the likes, or trading card games like Yu-Gi-Oh!. I've always been open to play those kinds of games, they just have an indescribable charm for me. I'm not that used to dice games, but I've tried Yahtzee a few times, and was very fun (please tell me I spelled that correctly).

I won't ask you about any "Jerry Springer" stories. Instead, I'm encouraging you to share those stories in our forums, like the Story/Art forum.

I hope you Vizit us often! If you have any questions, feel free to contact the staff or its members, we're always glad to lend a hand.

Welcome to Vizzed!

Old school gaming is our specialty, so I think you'll find this place rather enjoyable.
The PSX is always fun to play with. Although this is my first time seeing someone talk about it in their newbie thread. That's awesome!
How busy is a waffle house overnight? I always figured that place would be abandoned during the night. I guess that wouldn't be the real case though eh?
You should post some of those stories in the Story Forum. You'll have a ton of laughs heading your way if you do.

Anyway, hopefully you have a good time here. The Staff and Mods will answer any questions or issues you may run into on here. (Hopefully there aren't many problems with the site. )

Welcome to Vizzed! As the others have already said, this site is perfect for old school gamers. I've been playing since the Atari 2600/VCS, though the first games I actually remember playing were NES games (Gauntlet, Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda), so I know where you're coming from there.

So what were some of your first games? Also PlayStation was a pivotal moment in my gamer life, as it showed me more of what gaming could truly be. I had never played anything like most of the games that were dominating the PlayStation gaming scene prior to getting a PlayStation, and it changed everything. In my opinion PlayStation consoles have always been the best place to play.

Ooh funny stories, eh? This sounds interesting. xD I can imagine what might cause a reaction like that in a waffle house, having had some experiences with similar workplace stories in the past from family. Lol

Well if you have any questions, feel free to ask! We'll try to help in any way we can. But no, we can't spar with you to train for "Jerry" moments. Sorry. ;p

Dinkxx :

Well Hi there!

I actually travel all over the country on foot, and one of my favorite places to stop, eat, and relax (sometimes sleep...) is Waffle House!!! Everyone is usually nice, willing to have a good conversation, and don't judge (at least not openly) any of the patrons. I wonder if I've ever came in and ordered a cup o' joe in the middle of the night while you were there. Right now I'm taking a (long?) hiatus to heal up and make some money.

I didn't get to play D&D as a kid, many of the kids in my area just weren't into it, or were but "grew out". I have been looking everywhere for a good gathering of players so I can taste the game.  I did, though, start my own version of what I thought a Tabletop game as in Junior year with a chess board, dominoes, bingo chips, and Sorry! pawns. It went on for a couple of months.

I look forward to your stories and the many laughs they give me.
