I don't see any recent posts about this so, first of facts!

Our galaxy is 100,000 light years in diameter yet considered "puny" to M87 galaxy
Now, it is estimated that there are 100 to 200 billion galaxies in the Universe and that number continues to rise.

Can we truly be the only planet with current life?

I know most people turn away any idea of other life in another planet but, in Puerto Rico we have the world's biggest Observatory in the World located in a town called Arecibo dedicated to communication with the outside world- everything is monitored and kept secret by the CIA.

There's also an area in a town called Lajas that's very much isolated and up in the mountains and is constantly monitored. Crossing the gate deeper into the mountains gets you a very nice jail sentence and quite an interrogation from CIA.

Let's not forget Area 51. I think we have more life out there and probably much more advanced.

So, what do you think?
Are we alone or not?
Would you be pro or con with meeting them?

I hope they have games, tons of games, out of this world games (pun intended).

The correct scientific thing to say is, "I do not know." The universe is so vast - and traveling through it would take eons with present technology - that is it impossible to have a certain answer on that subject.

Hell, we are still learning about our own solar system! We just discovered water on Mars, and many speculate that some of Jupiter's moons might contain frozen water. Plus, scientists discovered bacteria that were able to survive the harsh conditions of Antarctica.

As of now, we have no concrete proof that other life forms exist in the universe. But if there are not any, "What a waste of space"

Oh yeah, had forgotten about finding water in Mars. It would be a huge waste of space! I do think there's more that meets the eye but, as you said, we have too many questions and things to learn about our own solar system.

I hope we find out soon enough

I think there is life out there in the solar system. But I can't just say until there is proof. Wouldn't you think if you land in an unknown planet they could be hiding because of earth people stepping on their boundaries of their planet? Things like that can happen. That's what I think and feel. If there is a life somewhere out there...they would rather tend to hide or not want to show themselves...

I think there is. For all we know, there could be humans in other galaxies too, instead of random aliens or whatever. Of course we probably aren't in a time where we could do anything to find out about it, but someday we might be able to.
