janus : The best storyline was from VII, which also happens to be my favorite game in the series. the worst storyline to me was from 1. As the series kept expanding, the storylines also kept getting better. As a result, the original understandably has the most generic storyline of the Final Fantasy storylines.

geeogree : I'd probably pick Lindblum from Final Fantasy IX because it's the most massive medieval city in the series, and there are a many different areas to explore, such as the business district, industrial district, the theater district, and the castle. Each of the districts are connected via air cabs, which you can use to get to another district in the city. A technologically advanced medieval city sounds like a cool place to live.

janus : I prefer the medieval universes because honestly, when I think of a Fantasy RPG, I usually think of a game with a medieval setting. I do like some of the modern and post modern themed games like VI and VII, but the medieval ones are still my favorites.
