I've been reading The Time Machine, and I've also been trying to get around to re-reading Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. A bit dry, but I like them.

I have been reading a lot of writing based books lately, the kind that teach you different techniques and stuff. I ordered a few writing books for school but picked out a few for myself which included ones on sports writing, and one on how to write faster, and I have been reading both of those this week.

I had a trip last week, and since the flight lasted 3 hours, I brought with me "Body in the Library", from the peerless Agatha Christie.

While I admit I was a bit confused at the format, maybe it has to do with the translation to Spanish and so it's not an inherent flaw of the book. Still, the story is captivating and the end result, like always in Christie's books, as surprising as unexpected.

I've read several of Christie's books, mainly those starring Hercule Poirot, but this was the first one I've read that starred Miss Marple. I have to say that, while Miss Marple revolves around a much more enclosed environment, the story of her books has nothing to envy to the worldwide adventures of Poirot.

I must re-take again my quest to get more of Christie's books, now expanding my sights to the rest of her characters and not just the great Poirot like I thought at first.

Lately I've been reading a lot of argumentative pieces. Although the class that I was reading them for was over, I'm still pretty interested in reading them.

What I plan to read next is “Justice, Deviance, and the Dark Ghetto”. It was one of several things I could pick to write an essay about, but I chose something else.

This week I started skimming through this book called the Best American Sports Stories of the Century. It's one of the books that I picked for my Independant Studies class next semester so I wanted to read up a bit on what the book was like.

I am currently reading Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Philip K. Dick. I bought it at Barnes and Noble a couple months ago, but didn't pick it up and start reading it until yesterday. It's a post apocalyptic science fiction novel which is right up my alley. I'm hoping to finish it before the 7th when school starts back up again and my free time becomes scarcer.

I've been reading Wonder lately. It's a kinda sad story about a young boy with a very deformed face, he's had many surgeries including some to help with breathing. You get to hear about the story from multiple peoples perspectives though so you get to see the effect it has not only on his life but on those around him. It's a very enjoyable read and I think it's rather empowering if anything. I'd really recommend it!

Not a novel, but I had started reading Sun-Ken Rock recently, namely because I find Boichi's illustrations for the series to be absolutely phenomenal. I need to get back to that.

In the last month or so I've read about 7 books almost all of which my friend lent to me because they were apart of his favourite book series; Gregor the Overlander. I honestly really loved the series, the world that is was set in, and the characters were very well fleshed out and developed. I definitely cried at the end of the last book, but that's a given.

I've started a series of books by Terry Brooks called the Sword of Shannara. I think the rest of the books have different names but the first one is about a sword.

I've finished the first one and it was pretty good and I've moved on to the second one. It's moved on a lot from most of the characters in the first book which I'm not a big fan of. I prefer stories stick with most of the characters early on.

Still, I'm enjoying the series so far and I think there are a lot of books revolving around this world.

Right now I'm reading a couple books on writing. One is about how to type faster, one is about sports writing, and another is about photo writing. Since I'm taking the semester off and I might start grad school in August, I didn't want to get rusty.

For school, I'm reading several different books. The most noteworthy is "Environmental Ethics: An Anthology". I've enjoyed learning more about the earth and how to take care of it!

A couple weeks ago I did this big purchase on Amazon for a laptop bag, a Switch game, and a Star Vs The Forces of Evil Book.

Normally I buy ebooks and then I put them aside on my phone for when I'm really bored, but this book didn't have an ebook version, only physical. It's a book I really wanted but I kind of felt I had to read it right away because of having a physical copy and I'm liking it so far, it's a bunch of in-universe stuff and facts about the show.

Well for the last little while I had been reading huge books to get me to sleep because I need a way to turn off my brain, I have a copy of 20th Century Year by Year that I inherited from my grandfather after he had passed on. I also have Dateline, a huge history book that goes up to the Spring of 2006 that I got for my 18th Birthday

I actually enjoy reading history books, especially entertainment yearbooks, and boy are the older ones hard to find. I also am currently reading Simpsons Comics collections, awhile back I had kind of came to the conclusion that some of them are actually better than the show itself in recent years.

As soon as I finish my current non-fiction reading I'm going to read the Raina Telgemeier collection again (minus the BSC) also right now I'm kind of wishing it was spring so I can go through my magazine collection (and read them of course) I have almost every LIFE magazine yearly retrospective from the 90s (I had the one from 1996 years ago but I didn't take very good care of that)
