So I was doing what I normally do, going through random news snippets, and I found one of the nicest and happiest news stories that I have seen in a while, something so happy that I had been in a good mood ever since then.

The headline read, "Pilot Diverts Airplane to Save Dog". When I first read it, I thought it was about a dog somehow being on the runway and the pilot stopping the plane or something, but when I read the article I found out that this wasn't at all what had happened.

In the middle of a flight, the pilot rerouted the plane and did an emergency landing in a random city because he noticed the heating in the cargo was broken and he knew that the dog was there and was scared for it.

So after landing in the other city, they escorted the dog and its owner to another plane, which all in all took more than an hour of delays and thousands of dollars in lost fuel though everyone was okay with it because they saved the dog.

Aww....thats so nice of the pilot. You don't always get that nowadays. So I am sure the pilot is happy that he did a good job of  assuring the dog that everything will be ok. And that happened. Nothing makes someone happier when a good deed like this is done in real life. ^-^

While some others don't do it. '-'

Eniitan : Many people believe that it's the people who don't do things like this, make these feel more special. Like if everyone did things like this, then it would be common and not as special.

I'm certain the people on that plane might have been quite annoyed at the delay, it's nice that he did the right thing. I just wonder how that dog got shut up in the cargo? I guess one of the traits that makes a good pilot is adaptability, and that's certainly a trait that he showed in doing that. I can only imagine just how frightened that dog was.

NovemberJoy : Naw, once everyone on the plane was told what it was for, they all agreed it was for the best. They were even offered to go to the new plane which would have been quicker but chose to stay through the delay.

I'm not sure that the dog was scared, but it could have been cold. The pilot knew the heating was broken, but couldn't actually go and see how bad it was, so the dog could have actually been fine, but still did all this to be safe.

zanderlex : Well, animals tend to be very frightened by tight, enclosed spaces. I can tell you that my pets aren't especially happy when they're locked up like that dog probably was. Even though things might've been fine, I think he made the right choice in this situation. And because of that, he gets an entire news article about him. Even if it does have a somewhat misleading title.

That's an amazing story right there. That's a great example of how great humanity can truly be. With all the crap that people in the world have been doing, it's great to hear about something like this for a change.

gamerforlifeforever2 : It turns out, he did something similar to this again recently, not with a dog, or anything alive really bur something that was really heartwarming to the people who ran the airport.

I've heard a lot of nice stories about people saving dogs and this is probably one of the best I ever heard of. Most news stories I hear are unhappy endings so whenever I see a story like this I have more hope in the world and I'm usually in a better mood for a while!

What a kind pilot
