Nintendo has come back with a new Mario game, again for their Wii U console, but this time, the game is completely different. This new game, with details set to be released at the up coming E3, is called Mario Maker.

What is Mario Maker?

Mario maker is a game where you get to create your own side-scrolling Mario levels. You can add any characters or blocks from ANY of the Mario game stretching out all the way to the 8-bit Super Mario Bros and all the way up to the newest games such as Super Mario 3D world.

What new features do I get with Mario Maker?

Mario Maker brings a lot of cool new features to Mario games. The most important of these features, is being able to make your own levels of Mario. You can add just about ANYTHING to the level that has appeared in any Mario side scroll games, ranging from just blocks to enemies and other weird things.  Currently, it is known that you will be able to switch your game view between Mario games such as Super Mario Bros, New Super Mario Bros U, Super Mario Bros 3, and Super Mario World; however Nintendo has said that they will probably be adding ways to view your levels from other Mario games, and maybe even some non Mario games.

While this isn't 100% yet, many people think that Nintendo will allow you to share your levels via an online system. This will allow users to be able to share their levels with others, so you don't just have to play your own levels. But in doing so, Nintendo will have to try and stop this from becoming a chaos with too many Spam levels or impossible levels from being everywhere in the online play, making users mad. Nintendo should be able to get this under control, and hopefully they will.

You'll get to see all of past Mario Games come alive in your Wii U, and you'll be taken back with all of the old, and new worlds of Mario. The game is suiting for all players, young and old, who just love some Mario.

When will we be seeing Mario Maker in Stores?

This is not quite clear yet, as Nintendo has no set date for the release of Mario Maker, but they have said that it will be in September. You should be seeing Mario Maker on shelves in the middle to end of September.

What will the price of Mario Maker be?

According to GameStop and Amazon, Mario Maker will be $59.99 upon the release. This is the average amount that you will pay for games now-a-days, and for a game that has great potential, this seems like a fair price.

If you guys aren't hyped up about a new Mario game, when you can literally do anything that you can imagine, then I don't know what will get you hyped. Hopefully this game can live up to what GameStop and Nintendo make it out to be.

High price point...but I can understand why Nintendo would want to set it that high.  It is a dev tool, afterall, and might affect the sales of the games that "Mario Maker" is based on.  Plus, it is incredibly awesome.  I do, however; believe that this will appeal to a "niche" market.  I expect there will be significant sales on this within a few months due to overstock.  I recommend that people that want to pick it up watch the sales numbers before pulling the plug and buying it.

You know, I have heard about this game for quite sometime and I really can't wait to see it release. The game looks really interesting and looks a whole lot of fun to try out. I think with it coming out in around 3 months, that is worth the wait.

Looking forward to it.

I heard about this awhile back but wasn't sure if it was going to happen or not.

I'm excited to see the game. I'm kinda hoping they release it for 3DS. Seems like a perfect platform for this type of game.
