I generally hate dubbed anime. The one exception is DBZ since I watched it dubbed first. Nearly everything else I've watched subbed because I prefer the Japanese voices over English ones. I find the English dubbing gets the voices all wrong compared to the Japanese ones.

The only thing I don't like is having to read every episode I watch. That does get annoying but I'll put up with it when the show is good and the voice acting is superior in Japanese.

I personally prefer subbed, because i like hearing it how it was originally made, except when I watched DBZ and Pokemon, i had watched them in English, not realizing they were originally in Japanese, until later enlightened.

I guess this depends on what kind of mood I'm in. Sometimes I'm impatient and just watch dubbed anime. When I'm calm and rather relaxed I go for the subbed. I don't really mind either now that I think of it.

For me it really depends on a couple of things

1) If I am doing something else while watching. (For example watching Anime and posting stuff on here)

2) If the dub does a good job (So no atrocities like the animax Fairy Tail dub)

and 3) If I am watching it in public or not (because I watch Anime in my free time at school so I watch sub then obviously)

As far as my preferences, I try to watch the dub but I end up watching subbed more and the more you watch sub the easier it is to follow. Although, watching anime on a 42" tv through an HDMI cable always helps, am I right.

I do have one thing to say though, if you prefer dubbed over subbed and you actually like anime a lot, don't just say no to subbed anime because I used to watch dub only but started watching subbed and there are so many great anime out there you will miss out on if you only watch dubbed. According to the 32 days worth of anime that myanimelist.net says I have watched, you can trust me on this. There are so many gems out there that aren't dubbed that you need to watch.

I'm done.

I like Dubbed anime better than the subbed anime. Dubbed anime is basically in English, while the Subbed anime is in Japanese, or a different language

I think I prefer dubbed so I don't have to read, but I don't hate subbed all that much. Mostly it just depends on how they sound so like, I prefer the English Goku much more than his Japanese voice actor. There are some English dubs out there that are just unbelievably bad though

I try to watch RAW (Japanese with no subs), as I know the language.
But if there are no RAW's available, I just watch subbed and don't read subtitles.

Dubs have actually gotten pretty good in general recently, so I'd honestly have to pick them.

If this was 5,10,15,20+ years earlier though? Subs. Unless you're a fan of hammer guns, next dimensions, donuts cosplaying as riceballs and the multiple series amalgamations. (Robotech is the most famous, combining 3/4 series into one, but there are other obscure dubs that did this as well.)

Well, my opinion is rather a dilemma on this subject. If you mean an official dub, with the main actors' voices, then I'm all for it. However, if it is just a fan dub, like with a fan doing their own interpretation of the characters' voices in English, then I would prefer a subtitled episode, rather than the fan dub. The reason for this is quite simple: the fans do not sound anything like what I would expect, so it would just be kind of... awkward. Other than that, I would like the official dub. If a fan dub, then subtitles will only cut it.

I most of the time prefer dubbed but more recently started to like subbed a bit more from watching Dragon Ball Super and Pokémon XY&Z subbed. I tried going back to watch Dragon Ball Z subbed but I'm too used to the dub by now that It bothers me to much to watch it in subs.

I prefer subbed as it is what I started to watch anime in. I realized though, that I couldn't watch Pokemon in subbed when they called bulbasaur, squirtle, and charmander these names: fushigidane, zenigame, and hitokage.

I'll be honest. I prefer dubbed. Most people say it's more natural to hear it in Japanese, but for me it's more natural to hear anime in English. Also not all dubs are bad. A lot are actually quite good, the Yu Yu Hakusho dub coming to mind. And to me there are some anime that really only sound good as dubbed such as Hetalia.

Even though I say that, I usually end up watching sub anime because I'm more likely to watch a new anime from the season over an old anime that's already finished airing. Though if I do decide to watch an older anime then I will definitely always watch the dub.

I greatly prefer dubbed anime, although the voice actors aren't always picked as wisely. I don't mind watching the bottom of the screen to know what they're saying, but would prefer to soak in everything on screen without worrying about it. There are quite a few anime I actually prefer the English voice actors as well, but many fail to capture the essence of the character like Japanese subs do, sadly.
