Well then, now I know. But that would explain why they profiled you, even if it was wrong. Were you jaywalking when you crossed the street? 

thing1 : No I wasn't jaywalking. I reached the other side of the crosswalk when the cop stopped me.

Sword legion : They have the right to do that, but it's harassment (not illegal for cops).

tRIUNE : Doing their jobs? I guess you mean eating doughnuts.

At least they stand around. Some cops here recorded a video of themselves dancing inside the car while patrolling and doing all the kinds of things you'd be arrested for while driving. That video got to the social media somehow, and you can imagine everyone's reaction. I would prefer if they just simulate they do their work instead of this.

tRIUNE : Well, that does tell you that the whole judicial is broken, nothing else much to say. You didn't do anything wrong and sure, you said you have a track record when you were younger, but all teens are like that and you being your age right now, figure they all forget about that and let you go on with your time, but wasted your time for stupid stuff.

Like you said, it was during the night time and they were more likely that they are paranoid about you possibly burglarizing a property or something and wanted to check on you, make sure you didn't do any of that. If they didn't ask you about that, then what's the point of stopping you then.

Man, I would make the worst police officer. I would always take things too leisurely and casually.

I truly think that being an officer/cop should require more training and skill because it simply isn't something everyone is cut out for. There are a lot of cops out there that do their job just fine, but they are greatly outweighed by the ones that don't have a clue what their doing. This is the reason why police officers as a whole are viewed in the way they are now. 

I agree with what Jordan said, 30 minutes is far too long without a single clue as to why you were detained. That's my main issue with this whole matter, if they had at least given you a reason for what they did, I might have a different standpoint on the issue.  


As I said before, I don't think everyone is cut out to be a cop because this situation clearly demonstrates just how foolish they can be. I'm sorry about this rather unfortunate incident. Hopefully this doesn't happen again, but if it does, I hope they'll actually do their job correctly and inform you before making you wait an eon before doing absolutely nothing. 

Razor-987 : well to be fair in a sarcastic eay I guess in favor of the cops, they all weren't standing in front of me while I was sitting on the curb. It was only one cop on my left and one cop on my right, while the other cops were standing at the cars talking on the radio plus whatever else they were doing for 30 minutes.

To clarify this whole thing (but not justify them) is I have a shaved head and was once in the system. But they had nothing on me so they let me go.
