You can now choose to play games from the following systems in the MESS emulator:
-32X
-Game Gear
-Sega Master System
-Turbo Grafx
-Virtual Boy
-Famicom Disk System
-Sega CD
-Atari Lynx
-SuperGrafx
-Neo Geo Pocket
-Neo Geo Pocket Color
-Wonderswan
-Wonderswan Color

The reason this is beneficial is because some games don't work in the default emulators for some of these systems so having MESS as a selectable emulator makes more games available to play for these systems. MESS is not the preferred emulator for these systems but there are many cases where it'll play the game better than the preferred emulator.

Staff : Letting you all know of this update.

Oh, that's interesting. There is a game on Sega CD that I used to play a long time ago. I even started a walkthrough of that game. It's "Mansion of the hidden souls". But for some reason, after the candles puzzle, it froze everytime. So I kept the file for a future use. A few days ago, I tried to reload my save state but it looks like it froze as well. Meh, it's not a big deal. I'll restart from the beginning using the new emulator and see if the problem happens. Let's hope I can finish this unfinished walkthrough once and for all

tRIUNE : The controls shown on the frame aren't the actual controls. Some of the keys that you'll be using include 1, Shift, CTRL, Spacebar and a few others depending on the system.

tRIUNE : Yeah I'm excited about this update and also excited about eventually making MESS available for SNES, NES, Genesis and the gameboy systems. There's still a ton of systems that MESS supports that aren't available on vizzed so I'm excited to eventually add those.

vizzy900 : Should just be F8 to start recording and F8 to stop recording. Let me know if that works.

Due to the updates to the Mame carts, I was curious on how they worked for emulation. For the life of me no matter what I look up I end up finding ones that don't work or some other thing where I'm missing files.

And yet I'm able to play on Vizzed with the same feeling I had growing up when Arcades was still a thing. *I still miss that.
Also while I'm here I was wondering something about saving.

For some reason even when I save for instance on Earthbound I check later and the file is gone. Did I do something wrong?
I haven't messed with anything just haven't played it in awhile. Does that come into play at all?

vizzy900 : The video recording for those games in MESS don't work or those games don't work in general?

TrixRabbit : Hopefully any issues you have with MAME will be fixed in the next RGR Plugin release which should hopefully be before this month ends.

Which emulator are you using to save with Earthbound? Are you using the same account with both saving and loading? Are you using the same computer?

Davideo7 :  I was using ZNES, but it happened on other RPGs too. Which was pretty sad, was pretty far into Lufia 2, and it just poofed.

Thanks for the answer though, can't wait for Mame updates. there's a ton of them I still need to beat. My backlog is finally getting *somewhat knocked out.
