I'm not entirely sure if there is or was a thread about this but have any of you seen the web-series RWBY?  I think is really good even though it starts out pretty slow.  Do you have any favorite character(s) or episode(s)?

I most certainly have seen it. It is or at least was on Netflix surprisingly enough, and I had seen a interesting sneak peek or review at some point so I checked it out. And thus blew through the first two collections. Gotta say I love the action scenes, they're incredibly entertaining and pretty epic. My favorite character would probably have to be Ruby, Blake or Jeanne, hard to say which.

I started watching it after Mounty Oum died. I watched a bit of him on Rooster Teeth and I thought I'd check out some his work.

I will say it's pretty well done. I only watched the first episode and even though I'm not completely hooked it is a well done show.

If anyone likes this they should check out some of his other work like Red vs Blue.

R.I.P Monty Oum

   I've always been a Rooster Teeth fan, ever since the end of the 5th season for Red Vs Blue. In fact, I don't think it would be entirely unfair to say I'm kind of obsessed- I listen to 2 of the 3 podcasts they release a week, watch all of their live action short videos, and otherwise dream of going to their personal convention RTX at some point when I get the money to make my way down to Texas.

   On the subject of RWBY, however, I'm sad to say I haven't given it the attention it deserves. I followed it for about the first 5 episodes and I wasn't too impressed by some of the minor oddities in the animation that I felt would have been relatively easy to fix (mainly, the fact that a lot of the characters animations would turn to stone at the end of an animation, generally before a camera would switch scenes, as opposed to being somewhat fluid into the next scene). However, I had always been a big fan of Monty Oum's work in Red Vs Blue as well as prior to it with Haloid and Dead Fantasy.

   Now that Monty Oum has died, I've been planning to sit down and watch the series again out of respect for an amazingly talented individual, and once a certain project I've been working on reaches fruition I'll be dedicating it to his memory as Burnie Burns stated that what Monty would have wanted is for people to get out there and be creative and do what they dream of.

I also decided to check out this anime after I heard about Monty Oum's death, I can first and for most I loved the graphics! It was very unique and refreshing to me, I'm used to the usual animation with those type of anime's and I'd never seen one done like that before. I just thought the graphics were amazing and just.. so pretty. 

I loved nearly all of the characters, (although I have to say that Nora is my favorite.. with John as a close second ), and I laughed so hard at the funnier scenes. This is one of my favorite anime's, and I haven't even finished watching all of it yet.

   I got into RWBY as soon as I saw the red trailer. It's not exactly an episode, but it just feels good to watch it. The music, atmosphere, and the action that took place in that trailer was amazing. It really reminded me of Monty's original work, Haloid. Which I adore to this day, And I have to say my favorite characters are Blake and Weiss. I feel as though they have the most character out of all the other characters, as well as they're the most beautiful couple. Team Monochrome for the win! 

I've seen the trailers, but that's as far as I've gotten. I actually wasn't entirely certain that it was an actual anime, to be honest with you. I always thought it was a shorts project, not a full-fledged series. 

Where can I watch it, btw? I have Netflix for now but I currently can't access it thanks to slow computer and too many tabs open, and my 3DS is charging... is it on there? I may have to add it to my list to watch now that I know it's ACTUALLY a series.
