I'm curious as to what was the first game that everyone has ever played, which began the spiral of your journey into the world of gaming?

My very first game was for the Super Nintendo, and it was Mario Kart. It was the game that I can remember playing first and getting really involved in it. I use to have a cousin that would come over, and we would just play Mario Kart all day for the Super Nintendo.... I would play as Koopa or Bowser, and she liked to play as Toad. Of course, I think I won most of the bouts[At least that's my story and sticking to it!] I also remember having friends over for sleep overs, and all we would do is play Mario Kart the entire night... good times.

So that sums up my first ever game I had played, which led me to play Super Mario World, and even more of the throwbacks games on the Nintendo and into the future I am today with my gaming. Now tell me, what game did you play first and how good of an experience was it?

It was either Mario Kart, or Donkey Kong Country for me - I was so young I don't remember.

My first game was Super Mario 64.  I have great memories of my father helping me through the difficult parts when I was little.  So nostalgic.  Now I can speed run that game in less than 25 minutes.

Kelgate : My very first video game was Pokemon Trozei or Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkachi 3, I don't exactly which one of them I got first. Anyway, these were the first video games I played. I still play DBZ BT3, it's a great game! As for Pokemon Trozei, I guess I lost the cartridge for it .

I know I have seen this thread before (because I think I in fact posted in it, but not too sure), but it's more likely closed due to age.

Anyways, the first video game I have ever played, I haven't really started video games until 2000 (not sure why, must been more interested in toys more). But the first ever video game I have ever played was Spyro the Dragon on the PS1, I remember that I played that game because my brother wanted me to play any game I wanted on my 7th birthday, so I picked this game, it's been so long ago, I don't even remember on why I picked this game to play.

The first game that I have ever played was Jeporady foe the NES. Sure, its a game about a game show, not as fun as any other big games, but since it was the first game I ever had, I was beyond excited to have it and I used to play it all the time both by myself and with my family.

The first game I ever remember playing was Pokémon blue. I honestly get through the game and I never have and back then I did not know what to do after I defeated Brock. I still remember beating him with a caterpie which was my last Pokémon that was so satisfying.

My gaming experience is odd. I grew up with strict gaming rules, but that didn't matter to me. I didn't like the first game I played. The first game was I played was Age of Empires I. I just didn't want to stay seated, so I never became a big gamer, until I started playing as a teen.

The first game I played was either Neverwinter, or Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I had a slow computer and my parents at the time had barely any money so I had to play the games that were already in my house at the time.

My first portable game would be Pokemon Yellow for gameboy. I often "borrow" it from my brother and hide myself away in my 'fort of youth'. I remember playing it for like 12 or more straight until my brother found out that I been 'borrowing' it, so he just took it. I didn't get my chance to play and complete the story until I was 7 at the time. However, a following year, my mother choose to buy me a gameboy along with Pokemon Crystal (It was fairly new when I was 7). Still to this day, I have Pokemon Crystal and purple Gameboy Color on my shelf, and once in the while I would grab it and play with it, from the starting new story to the E4.

So onto my first TV game, it would be SNES with the game Sonic the Hedgehog 2. We brought it off from the local secondhand gaming store called GameQuest for like 20 bucks, while the original price were supposed to be 40, but my mother and the owner knew each others for many years, so I was pretty lucky that my mom was able to get it for me.

However, my first CD game would be Dino Crisis 2 on PSX. It was a rated M game but I start playing it when I was only 5 years old. It was pretty much when nobody knew what rated M supposed to affect kids back then.

The first game I ever played was Super Mario Land for the Gameboy. The game was tough for me when I was younger. Many years later I played it again and it was so easy that time around. I've come a long way.

My first game was Sonic the Hedgehog. Of course, I was only two or three years old at the time, so I had absolutely no clue what was going on or what I was supposed to do. I was just fascinated when I realized that I was making Sonic move.

Technically, the first game I ever played was Super Mario Bros 3 for the NES. However, I remember only playing it for like 5 minutes then I went to another game...and that game was Tecmo Super Bowl. TSB is the first game I actually got into and played very thoroughly. I eventually got better at SMB 3 the more I played it, but once I got into TSB, I was hooked for life! And this game just keeps getting better every year because of the hacks they come out with...the ones with the updated roster.

Tecmo Super Bowl is the best game ever, and it always will be!

I can't remember as I was like 4-5 years old (1988). I do remember some of those games, though: Bugertime, Jumpman, Zipper Ripper, Lady Bug, Zaxxon... Damn, how much have games evolved ever since!

Okay my first videogame, at least one that I remember playing. Very old school, it wasn't a game that I personal owned or bought. It was my sister's back in the day and I'm not sure how many people actually know of the game. It's Rags to Riches for the Commodore 64, yeah like I said old school. For those that are not familiar with the game. You play a bum/vagrant, you pick up cans and bottles on the street and exchange them at the store for cash. You use that money to get food, a place to sleep, and get cleaned up. With the player cleaned up, you're hopefully able to get an odd job, which leads to more money in your pocket. Eventually you're suppose to make your way up to an education and a better job and stuff. For those of you that would like even more information on the game...
