What is your nickname in real life? What is the meaning behind it? How did you get it? All that good stuff. 

I have a few nicknames, actually. 

1. Buckwheat 
Where my Grandparents live, it's mostly farmland. Lots of land, very little populace, but lots of friendly farmers. Well, by the time I was 7, whenever I would go visit my Grandfather, I had earned his trust to drive a few of the tractors and field equipment. Well, one day, I was driving through the fields, planting fertilizer. I got to the end of field, and went to turn to go down the next row. Only thing was, I turned to sharp, and I fell off the tractor, and landed on my side. Well, one of my grandfather's friends just so happened to be passing by on the road at the time, and he saw me fall off the small tractor. He pulls over, and jumps the fence to come check on me. I get myself up, and there is some Alfalfa in my hair, and it just so happens that I now look like Alfalfa from The Little Rascals. So, since I had given him the nickname of "Pokemon", and still call him Pokemon ( I could never remember his name, and I was really into the show at 5 years old when I first met him. So, I just called him Pokemon and he went with it. XD ), he said, "You OK, Alfalfa?" I told him "I don't wear no suspenders, Pokemon!" So he comes back with this: "Fine, then. I'll just call you Buckwheat."  
And the nickname Buckwheat has stuck. Whenever I go back to where my Grandparents live, I either have to introduce myself as my Grandfather's grandson, or as "Buckwheat." XD 

2. D.C. 
So, if you live on the East Coast, chances are you don't know that there is a state called Washington. So, whenever you hear Washington, you think of Washington D.C., not Washington State. It gets annoying having to say Washington State every time you are asked where you are from. 
Well, it was Freshman year, and I was only at the Middle School for the last 6 weeks or so because I had just moved. So, when Freshman year starts, I find the group of weird people that I thought I would fit in with on the first day of school at lunch, all the way in the back, right next to the doors to the courtyard. Well, I introduce myself, and a few of them remember me, and tell me to sit with them. So, everybody is introducing themselves, and then it comes my turn. So, I say, " Well, I'm Caleb from Washington." Somebody asks what D.C is like, and I told them not D.C., the state. They didn't believe me that there was a Washington State, so I had one of them look it up on their phones, and they were shocked. So, they started asking me questions and stuff, seeing as how everybody had only lived in North Carolina. Well, it gets to the point where I tell them my initials: DCM. So, the tall carrot top called Alan goes: "I'm sorry, but I am calling you D.C. I just want to call you Jacob so bad, and I don't know why. D.C. works for you. It's funny. You are from the State, not the nation's capitial, and yet it's your initials. It'll freak out anybody when you tell them." 
And so, D.C. stuck. I still use it sometimes. 

So what are your nicknames, and the stories behind them? 

Those are both AWESOME stories. Thanks for sharing. hehe. They made me giggle and were well written.  (Though I'm still majorly shocked that someone didn't know there was a Washington STATE.... lol).  Also, I never knew that Caleb was your middle name. XD

I also have two nicknames.

1. Gigglefish.  MOST people don't know this one.. In fact, I usually only tell people that I chat with a lot.  It came about while I was still in high school and befriended someone on facebook.  We chatted ALL the time and about all kinds of topics.  Both of us also loved to write, and we would swap little stories. One day, he wrote a story about 'me', but it was about a fish in the sea named Gigglefish.  (It was kind of like that Rainbow Fish story where the fish gives away all its glittery scales.)  Anyways, he chose that name because I was such a happy and bubbly person, and I giggled over everything.  We used to refer to the members of my family as different animals too, just in case any of my messages were intercepted... and probably for our own entertainment. Thus... Gigglefish just stuck.  I used to use it for usernames and passwords, though I've fallen out of that phase a long time ago.

2. Dimple.  My mom gave this to me. Well, because:

Smalls. Because, well...I'm small . I used to get annoyed when people would call me this, but now I welcome it.

In real life my nickname is "Howlin mad" Idk what that means. I do remember that when ever I got mad I started yelling like.. a lot. Then my dad sang werewolves of london which made me even more mad xP

My other nickname irl is Moo Cow Head. We were coming home from church and yet again, I was being mad and yelling. Dad was going to say "Quit being a nimrod" or something like that, which made him think of Nimrod which made him start singing "moo cow head, moo cow head" and I went and said "I AM NOT A MOO COW HEAD!!!!" and it stuck. Isn't that lovely

Most of my friends call me Dorkanine now, yeah I think it's pretty self explanatory. In real life, I don't really have any nicknames.

I have three main nicknames:

1. The Power. I'm extremely tall and strong, and have been for many years now. I was given this nickname only recently, however.

2. Petar The Great. Another reference to my size. My name is Petar, and I'm "great" in terms of size. A nickname I've had since i was 12.

3. Chill. I'm a rather laid back guy, and my nonchalant attitude is known by everyone around me. It's a nickname I've had for as long as i can recall.

Well....how funny...I do have some...


Spikey

My brother called me this due to how my hair got infected badly. When we treated my hair and washed it. I lost a lot of my hair, causing me to have short hair and looking, a bit like cloud from ff7. And that's how I got that nickname.

Kiddo

My brother calls me that to his liking, so I don't really mind him calling me that...

Princess

Um...I am not going to say the story for this one but...my mother and my uncle calls me this name.

Angel

My mother calls me this name I forgot why.

babes 

I hate this name seriously I can't stand it. I made sure my mother never called me this name again. This was my nickname before.

Well, right now Zanderlex is my main nick name, I came up with it back in the summer of 2008 when we were creating boxes to hold our stuff and it stuck. I uses to also be called junior since practically everybody in my family had the same name.

My nickname is Blockhead, because In 7th or 8th Grade, I walked off of the bus and got hit by a small falling block. I actually think It's ironic because I played a game called Blockland back then. I chose this name for my Vizzed Account in memory of the event.

I pretty much only have one. Arcoiris. It means Rainbow in spanish. The reason I got this is for my creativity, which started as in all my works, they're all filled with color, all of them. It eventually ended up with people knowing I can draw, write, sing, create music, pretty much everything having to do with art, and know I am called Arcoiris.

I wonder what my nickname is

I can tell you the story behind this nickname. It was at the high school. With a friend, we were creating a roleplay and we were thinking about the name of our character. He found his name but I didn't find mine. So he helped me and comes with the idea to shuffle the letters of my real name. I definitely loved his idea.

And this is how Laian is born, folks.

I have had a couple through the years but the one that stuck is Bishop.
I moved to a rural "country" type location in 86, when I went to class someone asked me my name and I said "Earl", another guy said "hey isn't that some kind of Bishop?". The teacher and a couple others thought I said my name was Bishop so it stuck.

Hacksaw
While at the same school after we played a football game and won the other team started some BS with us, in the melee I somehow managed to grab a piece of 2x4 and swing it around. Some of my team mates said I reminded them of the wrestler Hacksaw Jim Duggan.

1: RayRay.
When i was in Elementary, i had two friends who gave me the name Rayray because of the first to letters in my name + a Y.
2: Middy/techno.
I gave myself thoes names after the two Megaman Xtreame Characters Middy and Techno. even though I didn't care for Techno. HE AND MIDDY ARE SO CUTE! DANG IT SIGMA! *flips a table*
3: Adult.
Yes. i am a Teen and i got THAT Nickname from a little kid. -w-
4: Zero.
AGAIN! I get called a video game Character. My friend gave me that nickname after i told him "stop calling me MARIO! o" and so his little sisters call me Zero. 3 yay!
i have a few more but they are PERSONAL!

My uncle used to call me Rhino because Ry is part of my name (Ryan) and my last name starts with no. (No longer going to reveal my last name for safety reasons)

I have multiple nicknames.

Beany - name my older cousins would call me.
Minnie - my mom used to call me this when I was younger.
Nina - what I use to refer to myself to my dog but my mom had come up with it, my best friend Brooklyn also calls me this.
Squishy - just some name a friend called me in 6th grade, no great story behind it, but it's my top common nickname and everyone knows me by it.
Seria - my Russian name
MichiKitty - a name my Russian friend gave me
Kitten - because I act like a cute little kitty.

I have a few different nicknames.

Chrissy; because it's a shorter variation of my actual name(Christina). I first started going by it in the gaming community. My username was Chrissyyyy and it eventually grew to the people in my real life as well.
Panda; again I got it in the gaming community. It was my first every username on a MMO. 
Squirrel; and another I was given in the gaming community. Though this one was more due to my attention span when we'd be going against other players(and a screenname for a time).
Tina; A variation of Christina. No reason really, except that my friend wanted to call me by something other than Christina.
Stina; This is a nickname that my brother gave me when we were younger because he couldn't pronounce my name. I hate this nickname with a passion, however little kids call me it often.
Pantuso; my last name. I was in JROTC in high school and it's something that my friends just started calling me because of that. It's something that people still call me to to this day(and even one of my current classmates).
Mama Christina; I'm a bit of a mama bear if I'm being honest. I may be 20, but people tend to come to me for advice and so it's a thing with my group of friends. Add to the fact that I cook for not only me but for others as well.
Andd that's it I think.

I have a couple of different nicknames given to me by family. 

C-Cat: My deviantART username is Crystal-Cat, and my brother and sister who are also on dA will call me C-Cat from time to time.

Crys: It's just a shortened form of my name that my sister Lexi uses. 

Sturgeon: Yeah, I know that one's weird. lol My youngest sister really loves Killarney, a town we usually go camping in for summer vacation, so I started calling her Killarney a few years back. She wanted a nickname for me that was in the same vein of camping/fishing, so she started calling me 'Sturgeon' which is my favourite fish and it stuck.
