Good moveset, decent gameplay. Lucario. Charizard is massively overrated.

I have quite a lot of main characters for each game. Each of them serve their own unique purpose which all depends on the CPU or player I'm up against.

Brawl:

For Brawl, I used a multitude of characters. Link is one of my main characters because he has a great variety of tools to keep my opponent at bay, plus they are great for adding and closing distances. I also use Ike because he is extremely powerful and can also take quite a beating before getting KO'd while dealing damage all the while. Marth is my final main simply because he is agile and he has a versatile variety of combos at his disposal.

Smash 4:

For Smash 4, I main mostly sword characters including: Link, Ike, Marth, Roy, Robin, and Shulk. Out of the new characters, I use Shulk and Robin the most. Shulk is incredibly adaptable depending on the situation he is faced with and Robin 's projectiles make it easy to engage in battle from a distance. Now that Roy has come out for dlc, I've been using him an awful lot. Even though he is practically a Marth clone, he is noticeably more powerful while still being decently fast. Some other characters I play frequently include: Ganondorf, Bowser, Lucario, Toon Link, and Dark Pit

hyperknuckles : yeah, honestly I don't think that Charizard is good in Smash at all. I'm terrible when I play as him anyway so I have a good reason for feeling that way. He's an awesome pokemon, but as a Smash Bros character, not so much.

In Brawl: My main is Link. Link might be bare-bones, but that's why he's so great. He's got speed, he's got capability, and it's all I need.

In Smash 4: I don't own the game but I main Mega Man. He's got loads of attacks and there's always one for every situation imaginable.

Final Weapon : yup, it's so much fun having Captain Falcon say "Falcon Punch" when your playing Smash Bros. It's also so satisfying when it actually hits your opponent. Falcon kick is another fun move to use.

My Brawl mains were Toon Link and Falco. I played them all the time as a kid, lol. They aren't the best but at least I didn't main f***ing Meta Knight.

My Sm4sh mains change a lot. I have a big list of them and everyone goes on and off them, but the only character who has stayed on that list is Lucina. She isn't my BEST but I've always kept consistent skill with her, unlike everyone else. My best (at the moment at least) is Little Mac and Falco. In the past I've had Zelda, Shiek, Zero Suit Samus, Robin, Duck Hunt, Greninja, Ness, Wii Fit, and Mewtwo. I guess since I have so many I can only keep up with a couple at a time, considering I don't play competitively.

Right now I'm learning Lucas and the walking kill move (Roy), they'll also probably be on my mains list for maybe a week lol.

I don't have the game yet but once I do get it (probably for the 3ds since I tried the demo and liked it and don't have a wii u) I'm probably gonna main Mr. Game&Watch.

I tried him once when getting a chance to play the Wii U version and I really like how he controls and I like to use some of the more uncommon characters. I just like his animations and attacks, and he brings back a lot of nostalgia for me back when I was a lot younger

Though I'll probably try a little bit of each character just to see which I like and don't like, I don't plan on exclusively sticking to one character anyway.

I main Toon Link in Brawl (the only smash game I ever played). Unlocking and beating him was already difficult (thank the pringles he knocked out himself) but it was worth it all. I always like to use Link in Smash. Not all that slow but powerful. Toon Link is just the character I was looking for; faster and more nimble than Link but still remains powerful. Pretty much variation based on movepool; boomerang, arrows and more.

Characters I also like to use are: Link (like you didn't guess after reading the above), Kirby (great jumping skill), Ganondorf (that power Slowpoke), Lucas (easy to control) and Falco (cool character with cool moves).

I main Mega Man in Smash Bros. for the 3DS. I have the best movement and success rates with attacking when I play as him.

Plus with him it's easier for me to damage my opponents

For project M, I mostly main Ike, Roy, Link, and Toon Link. I am also pretty good with Lucas, but I wouldn't say that I main him as much as the others. I enjoy playing project M because I can play characters I didn't normally play in brawl without worrying that they'll be completely outclassed by someone else. I'm really glad that things are more balanced.  I'm getting better at L-canceling and wave dashing and piecing together all of the more advanced techniques. This'll seriously improve my gameplay.

For Smash 64, I mained Pikachu. Good speed, spacing, and a good recovery. But really haven't played in awhile, and I'd definitely try Jigglypuff as well if I started playing it again.

In Brawl, I mained a few more characters. Ice Climbers, Falco, and Lucas were my mains. Falco, for his spikes and throw combos mostly. Ice Climbers were just characters that I found comfortable to use, even if I never did understand the playstyle all that much. And for Lucas.... Fair and Up Smash. Good moves, so I liked Lucas.

Project M is the first version where I really got more into the metagame. My favorites there consisted of Ice Climbers, Ivysaur, Squirtle, and Mewtwo. With the Ice Climbers, I learned out some more movement, spacing, and just learned how to use both Nana and Popo better. I love Ivysaur's Up air and Dair, has a nice jab, and I just like the tools she has. For Squirtle, I love his quick movement, and combo game. I really don't even know if these three characters are my best characters, but I just really enjoy using them.

For Smash Wii U, I have plenty of characters I use, so I guess I'd label most of them secondaries, and the ones I have the most success with, and have most fun with, or just use the most as my mains. In that case, Yoshi, Lucas, and Jigglypuff are my mains. Secondaries would include Mewtwo, Game & Watch, Villager, Kirby, Mewtwo, Larry, Greninja, and a few more.
Yoshi is a character I didn't like in any other Smash Bros. game, but somehow felt right at home with him immediately in Sm4sh. Nice recovery, combos, great kill power, and isn't a light character, like most others I use.The Spike is extremely satisfying, Nair comes out very quick, and Egg throw is outstanding to set up with, and to space your approach out.
Lucas is a character I decided I would try to main before he was even released, and I'm glad he came out so well. Spikes, amazing recovery, some spacing moves, good kill power, as well as both kill throws, AND a good throw combo game.
With Jigglypuff, it was definitely a struggle to keep maining here for awhile. At one point, I almost completely stopped using her, even. She's very light, but has great recovery, and gimping abilities, and one of the best kill moves in the game with Rest. She was never my best character to use, but winning with her is just more satisfying, and pressuring with Fairs and Nairs is just extremely fun. I gave up because eventually, the constant losing was starting to get to me. But lately, after going with her again, and I'm doing much much better again. She's the character I have the most fun with, and if I could choose one character to automatically get great at, it would be Jigglypuff.

Razor-987: Totally. In every game but Project M I have to drop mains because the balance is so awful. Like in Melee, I used to main Mr. Game and Watch but his matchups are awful. And in Brawl, I'm a huge fan of Lucas and Captain Falcon, but every character in SS and S tier absolutely destroys everyone else. It's basically SS Tier, S Tier, then Z tier.

Fox & Falco . They're the fastest chracters and they can jump very high and in time of need use Fire Falco or Fire Fox attacks to get farther or higher.  And I can't forget about Young Link and Pichu. But still Fox and Falco are my favourite characters.

I main Mr. Game and Watch + Jigglypuff.
Mr. Game and Watch because: In all honesty, Mr. G&W was extremely hard to unlock, and because of that, I didn't even know what he was. I seemingly came across him after (a huge amount of matches) and then I unlocked him. Because he was the 2nd lightest character, a Warlock Punch could KO him at the beginning of the match. His judge was RNG completely. You couldn't time anything the way you wanted it. I practiced Game and Watch competitively, I still couldn't get anything out of it. In brawl, he was just made lighter. Nothing new there, I still hated him. Then I picked up Sm4sh. G&W was fairly easy to unlock, so I started to try him out as a joke. Then, in one battle, (against Bowser) I got a 9 and hit it at the very start of the match. Then, I realized he was pretty much a glass cannon. He had extremely strong attacks, but for the cost of that, he was very easy to knock out. I was fine with this. Now, today, G&W is my favorite character.
Jigglypuff and why I like her: So.. Jigglypuff. I bought the N64 game, completed the "1P Game" of the N64 pretty quickly. Then.. (obviously) I was unlocking Jigglypuff. At the time, I was playing Pikachu. So, I got Jigglypuff, played her, and..... she, to me, sucked. Then, I went to Melee, and OH MY GOD.
REST. KILLS. AT. 18 PERCENT. See, this was what I really liked from Jigglypuff. (including the wall of pain) So, I practiced landing it, and I was like a sniper shooting a watermelon. Matches lasted anywhere from 20-60 seconds because I was so good at it. Then, I played brawl. I tried to KO at 18% again. Nope. This time, it only did 18 damage, had a flower effect, and was no better than using a forward or upsmash. Rollout? Pretty dumb. Pound? Great recovery and shield breaker, so I liked it. Sing? Why would you ever use that? They even wanted to make her unlockable from Subspace Emissiary only (I'm pretty sure.) Then, smash 4. There were many improvements on her over disimprovements (Not even really a word..) So I liked her a lot. She's my secondary and she's a kind of character that's underestimated but extremely capable. Basically those are my mains and why I like them in a fairly short post.
Hmm, I've never been a big fan of either one of them. That's just my opinion though. I was never able to see how Jigglypuff in particular could be useful but that's just me.

Every Jigglypuff main can agree on this: Jigglypuff... wasn't that good in Smash 64. She was one of the worst characters. Every jump that she used went noticeably less distance until it went less distance instead of more. She didn't even have a recovery to help with this. In Melee: she was much much better. Usually, the common opinion is because Rest got one of the largest buffs in Smash history. Also, her jumps were made equal, and she obtained a better air game. In Brawl, Jigglypuff received the lowest tier drop in Smash history. Her Rest was absolutely pitiful. Rollout was barely as strong as before. She had less weight. Worst of all, you couldn't even wall people any more because her B-air received much less range than in Melee. In Smash 4, she got a lot of buffs. Her B-air got more range, her rest did more damage, generally everything Jigglypuff was disadvantaged from was simply made better, except her weight.

gamerforlifeforever2 :  I like them the most in newer games like Brawl or SSB for 3DS/Wii U but also in Melee.
In the N64 game I like Fox the most.
