Oh Wow. I have 4 games that are my favorite. The first would be Super Mario Bros 3. 3 was just awesome it introduced the koopa Kids and was just a great game overall. Second would be Yoshi's Island. That game the player plays as Yoshi while trying to protect baby Mario very cool game. Third would Super Mario World. Super Mario World had very good graphics and was a lot like 3 was.  I think I also will give an honorable mention to Super Mario Bros 2 as well

The best Mario Game of all time has to be Super Mario Galaxy 2! Why do I say that...because Super Mario Galaxy was the best that I ever got very far on--even perfecting it. But Super Mario Galaxy seemed to be even more beautiful, and it had my favorite Mario character Yoshi! Mario, Yoshi, zany power-ups, space, a galaxy sized Bowser? It does not get much better than that...well unless nintendo could actually come up with a game that had a decent story and even developed it with voice acting for the entirety of all the conversations! I loved the Mario Galaxy because it offered the best puzzles ever. Not many games have actually worked with gravity. The only other game that I know to have done that is DeBlob 2 (which really is not that exciting of a game).

I think Super Mario World is best, but you know, Super Mario Bros 3 is just so much fun. I flip flop. The minigames, the weird koopa kids, all the suits!

Out of all the Mario games I played, my absolute favorite is and more than likely always will be Mario RPG The Legend of the Seven Stars. The game is legendary in my opinion a cult favorite. The game play is amazing, the graphics for it's time is simply outstanding, I love the fight system in that game, the characters are very memorable, Geno is amazing, Mallow was hilarious, frog fucious was great, the little pepper master was funny and insanely hard. Culex was one of the best bosses in the Mario world for ages and ages to come. Booster was insane and hilarious, And Smithy was annoying and a great antagonist. And teaming with instead of fighting against Bowser was pure brilliance. Fighting with peach was an amazing adjustment that started a legacy, and finally its just an overall amazing game. Sadly it was one of the final games for the Super Nintendo, so it was greatly overshadowed, but other games great games, but just I wish it made more of an impact than it did. And I know it may never happen, but I won't give up hope I am still waiting for a true sequel to Mario RPG.

This is an easy one for me to answer. Out of all the Mario games I have played before, my favorite is and will always be:

Super Mario 64 - I love playing this game so much. I love the graphics. I love the point of jumping into the paintings to go to each of the worlds. I love the enemies in each level. Each level is different than the other. Each level has different tasks for you to do to earn Stars. I love how each level has different enemies varying in difficulty. You've got King Bob-omb, Koopas, Goombas, Boos, etc. Like I said, each level has it's share of enemies that vary in difficulty. If I could, I would be playing this game again but, sadly I don't have this game. Whenever I can I'm gonna Play this game here on this site. Until then, the game is gonna have to wait.

In some of the levels there are even those enemies that you cannot defeat. There's the Chain Chomp, the dreaded Piano in the Boo Mansion level. There are probably more that I can't think of atm. So Yeah. I love Super Mario 64 more than any other Mario game out there.

Bye...

I'm thinking Super Mario Galaxy 2. It just has so many clever ideas, great music, great graphics (for a Wii game), and it's all around fun to play. There've been a ton of great Mario games, but SMG2 is probably my fave.

I think that Mario was defined by Super Mario Bros. 3 and it set the groundwork for everything he did since. Then again, Super Mario 64 revoutionized 3D gaming. So I guess I'd say it's a tie between those two.

Without a shadow of a doubt, the best Mario game out there to my opinion is diffidently  Super Mario Bros. 3. The reason I think so, out of all the games I have played, this game here has a whole lot of detailed levels and I feel like on how much Nintendo created this game, it's why it will always top my list.

Just like a lot of other people who have posted here, the best Mario game has to be Super Mario Bros 3, in my opinion. It is also the very first Mario game that I have ever had the privilege of playing, way back when I was 5 or 6 years old. I think the music especially was very creative and well done for a NES game. Back then, the people who created games were obviously way more limited then they are today, and they still killed it with this game.

I also think I have to mention Super Mario 64 here. Let me say SMB3 is the best 2D game and best Mario game overall, while Super Mario 64 is definitely the best 3D game, in my opinion.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 takes my vote. I played this game when it first came out, and I was astounded by everything about it. The graphics, the music, everything. An now, it's about 5 years old, and still no sequel! Come on Nintendo, I know you said no mainstream Mario game this year, but next year? Please?

I could show incredible bias and say Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door, but I think I'll go with what probably is actually the best mario game: Super Mario Galaxy.
It was a bit linear, but the gameplay was incredibly solid and *Gasp* UNIQUE. The music was great, and apart from rehash levels, the level design was well done.
Another amazing one was Super Mario 3D World. New Super Mario Bros. WISHES it could be this good.

Hmm, this is difficult,  I'm going to limit my choices to only the platformers, which makes it a little easier for me.

I'm stuck between New Super Mario bros. on the DS, and super mario world 1, and yoshi's island, I love all those games, new super mario bros. was really cool because it brought back the 2d platforming elements which is my favourite mario genre, and I am so happy they are still making them.

Then you have super mario world, A game I played a lot on my own, but really started liking when juuldude: and I were netplaying it, it has some fun mechanics and the first appearance of my favourite mario character in a main series mario game, Yoshi! And yoshi's island is really different then all other mario games, you were yoshi trying to bring back mario to luigi, it was really fun, and mario crying just added to the ''I HAVE TO GET HIM NOW'' Factor which I liked, The throwing egg mechanic was fun too.

If Yoshi's Island counts as a Mario game, then Yoshi's Island hands down. Don't get me wrong, I love other favorites like Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, Super Mario 64, and the many Mario Karts, but Yoshi's Island just has a certain something. Of course, I played it endlessly as a kid, so that probably contributes to my feelings, but whenever I come back to it as an adult I can't stop playing it. There's something just so satisfying about making eggs and throwing eggs and the floating jump and morphing into different vehicles. I love how each level and boss battle is unique and there are so many secrets. The graphics are so bright and colorful and happy. Plus, the Yoshis are so freaking cute. Whenever I can afford it, I'm totally getting Yoshi's New Island.

I think it would be either Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story or New Super Mario Bros. Wii ! I loved Bowser's Inside Story's plot, and the final boss theme was just beautiful! If I had played Dream Team, I might have considered it since RPGs tend to earn my liking fairly quickly xD! NSMBW was fun; I beat the entire game with my cousin greenluigi once over a few sleepovers and it was the funnest chain of days ever .

For me, it's either Super Mario Bros 3. Or Super Mario 64. And I'll start to explain as of why.

Super Mario bros 3 had everything, and more. I mean, really. Plenty of alternate powerup suites. Huge level variety, and a great challenging curb to it all. The game is not easy, and this keeps you coming back for more. The game also just totally sucks you in with that awesome soundtrack.

Keeping a Tanoaki Suite is a whole new challenge in itself- and rewarding.

The game is filled with secrets. Rewarding those who want to slow down and have a sense of curiosity. The super rare powerups were amazing and a great reward. I really loved those, especially the hammer brother outfit.

Why hasn't that come back into the series yet?

Super Mario 64 left Sonic in the dust for once and created many young adults first 3D experience in a video game today. It was deep, vast and imaginative. Though the powerups and enemy combat left a small hole, it was their first 3D attempt. And I think it succeeded magnificently. Super Mario 64 is a game I love to put back in the system and to play just for stress relief. It too rewarding our sense of curiosity and really just having. . . a sense of exploration about it. And because of that, it's very fun, and nostalgic.

It was just soooo much fun running around in those fairly open 3D courses. Trying to get all the power stars and such. Finding a secret in that game could be a bid deal. When I think about discovering the Metal Cave, or the mountainside's secret, I start to get faint reminiscence of nostalgia. It really is a cool game, but not as good as SMB3.

Still, very good for a first 3D attempt. It was maybe the third Mario game I every played, though I got to play it the most heavily since our NES didn't work that often. It still holds a special place in my heart.

Dark knight of the blackened sun. I am Sword Legion, one of many. My mask is thick, and my armor is strong. All the more necessary in a world such as this. . .

The best for me is Super mario 64, Super mario sunshine and Super mario galaxy...

I like more the 3D but I also played a lot to the nes and gameboy.

Man, the Mario universe is so wide that's it's hard to pinpoint a SINGLE game...

But I guess I can go with Super Mario Bros. 3. It was the game that got me addicted to video game music; it was also the game my father rented during the Easter break a few times back when I was in primary school. I've never been very apt at these games, but it was nevertheless a very fine one.
