Title: Have you ever had near death?

What I mean by this is that like have you ever had near death stuff where you almost got yourself killed or had a car accident that you survived where you most likely would die but still survived, etc..
I have almost killed myself by accident.
It was with a knife.
Someone had a knife in their hands and I was below them, and I wanted to stand up and my head was only about 1 centimeter from the knife (0.39370in), even less then that, I almost got my head cut in half, I got very lucky there. (It was a sharp knife.)

But how about you? Have you ever had near death?

Yes. One when I was born. And some others while like, I was staying in the hospital. Due to my body being unstable and such. My body and face was so pale very pale......at times I thought I was going to die. I was not always able to feel my body at times.....I am only mostly at near death, when I am seriously ill to the point, that it gets really bad...

Thankfully I haven't had any near death experiences in my lifetime and I don't plan on doing anything extreme that would put my life in jeopardy because it is just not worth it. The closest I have ever come is maybe breaking a few bones, being in a car crash and then almost drowning in the pool when I was younger, but other than that I haven't had anything serious happen to me. It's different when someone decides to gamble and put their life on the line by doing extreme things like skydiving, or taking a trip to the Amazon or just doing something ridiculous for fun, and then there are times where it is just out of your control, like your knife story....either way though, I am blessed to still be alive and well today.

TheJmsGamer : There is two I can think of. One when I was born which could have killed both my mum and me and one when I was 2 when a TV fell right on top of me. I have no clue what exactly happened I was just told this by my parents who weren't even worried when these incidents happened. Other than that there isn't anything else.

DylanMcKaig :
My sister (16 years) almost died with my mother when she was born, if that happened, this thread would maybe not exist by now
Razor-987 :
I know I've had near death a second time but I can't remember anything about that, what I do know is that I never have any broken bones. I couldn't swim before the age of 13... It's just then I knew how to swim, at the age of 12.. I kept almost drowning '-'

Actually, you would, but with a different live, you might been a girl, hate Vizzed if ever found out about Vizzed, have different interests, etc.. You would be born around the same month, just with a different live, I think you get a new live when you die.

I narrowly avoided slipping into a coma and becoming a vegetable. That to me, would be dead enough.
I looked like two face from batman for about a month after.

Yes, I have had two near death experiences

The first was when I was about 16/17 years old. My heart got inflamed I had a condition called myocarditis. I was very sick as my pulse and blood pressure dropped. Thankfully I recovered

The Second was when I was about 5 years ago. I  had a brain tumor it was not cancer but causing me problems. My behavior changed, and I was in pain all over, I could not see or hardly do anything. Thankfully I had the tumor removed and my vision came back. But the surgeon told me if he did not get the tumor I would eventually die. He also said I could die on the table by having a stroke though the chance was low.

I give Jesus my personal Lord and savior for protecting me during these near death experiences

There were a few times that I recall from near death experiences.

I remember that I was on my way on walking home and I was walking on the sidewalk. This drunk driver makes some bizarre S turn, going from the road to the sidewalk (which was a few inches away from crashing into me and an inch away from crashing a young couple) then back on the road. I was a bit terrified and scared but not as much as the couple especially when they had mixed feelings. Remember people, don't drink and drive!

Another time was when I was trying to swim for the first time and I almost drowned when I lost control on the water. Luckily I managed to gain control and got back gasping for air.

I've had a few near death experiences before. The one that scared me the most was when I nearly drowned from going out too far in the ocean 3 years ago. See, I can't swim still and me and my brother decided to be rebellious and went far out. Bad idea. Someone swam out to save me though because I was too terrified to move. If that person didn't swim out to save me I'd probably be dead.

My infantry unit started taking mortar fire from Chechan rebels near Grozny in Chechnya.  We were in the river valley and had no fire support readily available.  I think they were 60 mm mortars and they bore-sighted us and fell on our heads.  We went left and the mortars went left.  We went right and the mortars went right and followed us along the valley.  The attack was sustained and injured 15 Marines.  We finally got a pair of F-18s to strafe the positions and things calmed down.  There was a pursuit and we put rifle and medium machine gun fire on the leftovers of the mortar teams.

I was lucky I wasn't killed or injured.  Getting mortared is never fun.

The only time I have probably been near death is in the car. There have been WAY too many times where I have had close calls while driving. I thank God that I am still unscathed. None of the times has been my fault, however. I have almost been the victim of people who just don't have any common sense. Sometimes people like to run red lights or stop signs.

Also, I have witnessed plenty of accidents that have happened right in front of me or around my position. And when they do happen, the thought immediately runs through my mind "Wow, if I found my car keys just a couple seconds earlier, that could have been me!"

Be careful out there!

I'm not sure if my first "Story" counts, but very well.
When I was born, I had a lot of difficulty actually surviving. I had drank/absorbed waste from the placenta, and the doctor's actually only gave me a 20% of survival, even with intensive care.
I had attacks where I needed to go to the doctor's, to have all the waste taken out of me. If I didn't, I would start choking, and eventually die. Luckily I didn't. Throughout the first year, it went like that. I was a frail and weak baby. After all the waste was taken out of me (They couldn't just take it all out at once) I eventually started getting better, but the odds were against me. Around 80% chance of dying, I was told.

The second one was recently. Around a year ago I was in the bus, and this guy came and sit right next to me. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but then he pulled out a gun and demanded the bus driver to stop. He did so, and threatened to kill me if everyone didn't give him all the money they were carrying, as well any valuable belongings. I was scared. No, I was terrified. That has to be the scariest thing that has ever happened to me. Everyone was in shock, as was I, and I couldn't move. Eventually the guy got what he wanted, and ran off. A week later I heard he was captured, and that put me to rest, but that whole week I didn't leave the house. At all. I was too scared to do so.

Since that day I haven't taken the bus, and prefer to walk with someone, or in daylight only, and probably never will take the bus ever again.

Yes, one word 'drowning'. I have almost died 3 times in my entire life and that was from drowning. I don't know how to swim, I mean I have tried to learn but no luck. The first time it was when I was at church camp when I was really young like maybe 5-8 years old. I would of died if this guy didn't save me... I kind of jumped off the ramp and I was so young that I didn't realize that the wind was blowing hard and as it was it was drifting me off deeper and deeper until I actually realised and it was too late. Now that I think about it our church people wouldn't let up back in the water after that .... The second time was when I was camping with family. I just drifted off again without knowing and my grandpa who is not with us anymore and I miss dearly got in the water with his boots and saved me, he died when I was about 15 he just ran out of breath and couldn't breath so he passed away. The third time was very scary it was just a year or 2 years ago. I was out with family and was trying to get past the deep end by floating and my nerves got to me and yeah. My cousin brought a floaty and I held onto it while she pulled me back to shore. All these things are pretty terrible but I lived through them. I'm glad I did or I wouldn't of got to meet all of you wonderful people from vizzed and do half the things my heart desires.

Well I did when I was a baby. Since I was born 2 months too early my immune system was very weak and I was very susceptible to illness and came close to dying several times, doctors actually thought it was more likely that I wouldn't survive yet here I am today alive and doing pretty well.

Other then that the only thing I could remember was almost drowning in a pool when I was much younger and I was at a summer camp luckily our swimming instructor was nearby and dived in after me.

Well I can tell you 2 because they are the only ones who comes in my mind. The first one was when I was 8 years old. A morning, me and my sister (Who is 17 right now) were waiting for the bus to come and pick us to School. We were chatting and my sister accidentally pushed me and the bus was about to crash on me! Thank god I dodged that. The second was when I was a bit older, that I was about to get drowned in an ocean but thank God my dad and another person came to rescue me :3.

If having extreme internal allergy counts, then yes. I also witnessed a person shooting someone down with a gun live. Fortunately, the murderer was in a hurry so he didn't shoot us down as well, plus we didn't see the dead man vividly thanks to the tall grasses. We walked away like nothing has happened and the day after, the incident was in newspapers. Apparently, the murdered man was in huge debt financially and couldn't pay so he was killed instead.

Have I ever had near death? Yes and at so many times, but I'll only share 2 events for the others were very quick and blurry when it happened.

This first one is about my time of birth (Hahaha, I sound like I'm reading a poem)! It was around "something something" in the morning, when my mom went into labor. Nurse #1 was getting ready for her to push, but she told my dad that something was wrong with the baby. Nothing showed up on the monitor, so Nurse #1 thought I was fine. My mom said to my dad that they needed to pray for the baby. As they were praying, Nurse #2 came in and told Nurse #1 to stop what she was doing. Then, Nurse #2 got a pair of sanitized scissors. She cut my umbilical cord that was wrapped around my neck, twice. And my mom gave birth to lil' ol me. Of course though, I wasn't a healthy baby-- being pale, small, and fragile, but it all ended ever so happy (I know I didn't remember this, but my mom did).

(THIS one I remember very clearly) Okay, here's the second one! On December 19th of 2013, my grandma-- let's call her Mama (since I would call her that back in the day), died in the hospital from a heart failure. I was so devastated, that I cried uncontrollably from the hospital all the way to my Uncle's and Auntie's house for a family meeting (and I still cry to this day). After a month past and on the first day of winter break, I caught what might of been the swine flu. My fever went up and down from 99.3 to 105.1 degrees (or so the thermometer said). At around the 2nd week and the 5th day of my break, I had collapsed unconsciously on the couch. A few hours later, my parents found me and started to panic. I remember my soul felt like it was detached or "floating away" from my body. Everywhere I looked was pitched black, emptiness. I felt scared and lonely, until suddenly a bright shining light came into view. It first started out small that it became-- BAAAM! Like, an explosion in my face!  I didn't feel sickness, temperature, pain, or sadness, anymore. I felt at peace, loved, and joy. When the light dimmed down a bit, I saw a huge figure, and around that silhouette figure were many people. What was even weirder was they were all floating, NOT flying, but floating gently. Underneath me was Earth, and I saw many bubbles with people inside fighting, yelling, hitting-- all kinds of terrible things. Though, for some reason, no matter how hard I tried I couldn't talk. I remember hearing a voice in my head that said "It's time to go." I asked the giant where, and He replied "Home." He then reached out His hand or me to grab onto, but I felt hesitation come over me. I told Him "No, I can't accept this offer. My family needs me. I can't just leave them, not after what just happened to Ma-- I mean my grandmother!. . . . I don't want to see my family be caused by anymore grief." The silhouette man closed his hand and took it back to his side, "Very well. . . but do heed this warning, my child. If you ever disobey your parents, in any way, shape, or form-- ever again in the future-- I will not allow you to be given a choice, but to come home into my kingdom." Just then, I felt myself being pushed back forcefully and the figures were getting farther and farther away from me. When I felt heat, and pain in my head and throat, I heard my parents talking. Opening my eyes, I saw my mom crying and my dad hugging her, behind me. I remembering feeling so exhausted, that I couldn't move a muscle in my body-- let alone twitch. All I could do was go back to sleep. As I was beginning to dream, I found myself in the presents of 2 young African/American children. One was a girl who looked about 6 years old. She wore a magenta hoodie with a dark purple skirt. Her hair was in pigtails as well. The other, a boy, looked 4 years of age. He wore a blue and dark blue sweater that had a train on it. He also wore ragged pants and was bold. The girl extended her hand, and the boy hid behind her. I shook my head and pointed down below me. Her face went from happy to sad, as she placed her hand in her hoodie's pocket, and lowed her head. After about what felt like 5 minutes, she lifted it back up and smiled. I then heard or thought I heard her say "Okay, maybe I'll to ask again in the future." Again, I felt being forced back in my body, which ended the dream. I accidentally made a squeaking sound when I stood up, which made my parents look in my direction, as they were done dabbing my face and neck with ice cold water. They showed a relieved look on their face, and hugged me really tight (seriously, I couldn't breath)! During our group hug, I heard the Man's voice again, "Remember, obey your parents for this is the first commandment with a promise." It only took me 30 minutes to realize my fever went away and my throat was durable for me to talk. I was so excited of what I just witness, that I couldn't sleep after telling my parents of what they've missed.

Maybe I should make a mini comic about my "Almost Near to Death" event (but only the dream part). I have been planning on making one, but wanted to keep it a secret, since many people wouldn't believe me. I actually wanted to post this a while back, until I decided to wait a little longer because of the same reasons. Well, I hope you enjoyed my life experiences, and thanks for your time!

Oh, and by the way, I'm a follower of Jesus-- a Christian (have been for 8 years). ALSO, listen to Blessings by Laura Story. It's a REALLY good song.

So many words

Oh, and I'm impressed that you remember your two dreams. Sometimes when I dream, I usually don't wake up, and when something happens, like, someone died or I get something that I've wanted (Such as a Wii U), when I wake up; I'm getting confused if I really have a Wii U or if the one that died really died, ending up not being real.

Honestly, I one time made up a girl, and after so many day dreaming (When I control my dream, whilst I'm awake) (The girl wasn't real), I dreamed that I was in a school to get stronger, and that there were bullies that wanted to hurt me, so I ran away, I go through a past, and then the girl was there. I literally said in my dream: 'What the... Okay that's not normal.' Then I woke up

Now, the girl is totally gone from my mind (sort of), and now I'm thinking of stories to write... It takes forever for one part XD
But your dreams feels like when you'd die, oh, and 'Ma-- I mean my grandmother!....' I would know what you'd mean if you said Mama, I hadn't forgotten
My grandmother died in 1995... Five years before I got born. So I never got to know her, sadly, and my grandfather died at around 2011 I'm guessing, in February. He got in hospital on 6 January, and died on 6 February. But your story is long, and I read all of it.
