For the past few years now, I've hosted a Fantasy Football League on Yahoo for Vizzed members. Here's the winnings for this year:
1st: 100,000 Viz
2nd: 50,000 Viz
3rd: 25,000 Viz


If you were part of the league from last year, renew your team by responding to the email I sent you through the league.

If you're new, then it'll cost 25,000 Viz to join the league. Send me the Viz and the yahoo email address you want to use. You'll need a yahoo account to join so if you don't have one, you'll have to create one. New users will only be able to join if users from last year don't join and they have a week to renew their team.


This year we're going to have a manual draft again and the order of the manual draft will be in order of last year's losers first. The registration closes next Monday, the 11th of August so that we can begin the manual draft on Wednesday, the 13th of August. What is Fantasy Football?
For those not familiar with Fantasy Football, it's based on the NFL. You pick players who you think will score the most points each week. Points are scored based on the position; example: Quarterback throws for certain amount of yards is worth a point. It's a lot of fun and anyone can join even if you have no idea how to play, you'll learn as it progresses. If you do sign up, please say what your team name is so that we know who is who.

Rules
I can change the rules upon requests. You'll be able to view the specific details of the rules on the Sign Up page. We need between 8 and 16 people for the league (maximum of 20).

Start and End Date
The League Starts September 4th, which is when the NFL regular season starts. It ends during Week 16 of the NFL, which is December 22nd.

Oh, awesome. The game is back up and running. Allow me to say that I want to return to the league again. I am the Crimson Alchemists.

How do I actually sign up? I do not see an option for it?

Davideo7 : You said you would take up to 20 people, and you only had 18 last year. By my calculations, that leaves 2 spots left open. I already sent the Viz and gave you email, so I will just wait to get in. I have a feeling that there will be room for me. 

thing1 : Actually users from last year wanted it to be 16 so I'm working on dropping it down to 16 this year. I'm sure there will be users who don't come back this year, that always happens.

Just 1 question... .How long does this draft take?

thing1 : The live draft I think takes 1 1/2 hours but I don't remember to be honest.

And once again I have to work when we draft. =( I'll have to see if I can do it on my phone, cause I actually want to draft my own players unlike last time. Not sure if I can do it the complete 1 1/2 hours, but if we draft at 8:00pm than I can be a little sneaky. (Assuming the draft will work on my phone).

Also my team name is Alpha Alpacas in honor of a teacher who was obsessed with alpacas.

Davideo7 : I think it might be a good idea to require everyone who joins and rejoins to post their team name in here and make a list of who registered, to avoid the payment fiasco from last year.

megamanmaniac : Actually I'm going to make it a rule that you can't join the league unless we know who you are from Vizzed.

We have 8 teams renewed so far, hopefully everyone who planned on renewing from last year does so before next week.

I just have a quick question about this David, as it does seem that I will be getting into the league... 

Since I was not in the league last year, would I get one of the first pics since I technically had a 0 - 0 record? Or, would I get placed near the end of the draft order? 

I'm posting here to make it official.

I'm not renewing my team this year. Last year, the league wasn't handled as well as I'd have liked, and I just didn't enjoy myself.

I can't see things changing, so I've decided to back out in favor of someone else who wants to participate.

I read the title and was hoping it'd be for British football :v

Davideo7 : Though, if you're cool with it, I can set-up a Fantasy Football league for Soccer, if there's any interest in it, and we can do something similar for that?

Davideo7 : So how many people renewed their team? I'd like to know whether I will be able to get in or not, that way I can save that time slot, since I have gaming sessions at night.
