All right, Just out of curiosity, who is the best video game character of all time...seriously. Things should be taken into consideration like the following: how cool is the character? How much fun was that character to play in the game? What kind of abilities do they have that make the game interesting or challenging...That sort of thing.

I'd say Captain Falcon and his appearance in the Super Smash Bros. series (specifically Melee).

1. Coolness: He's certainly the coolest character in any video game I know. You can just look at him and see his inner awesome. He drives a futuristic racecar that goes over 250 mph, he does awesome stuff like Falcon Punch, and he has killer knees.

2. F-ZERO is a pretty fun racing game series, but in Super Smash Bros. Melee he is incredibly fun to play as. I don't really play as him to win (though I end up winning anyways since I'm very good with him), I play as him to have fun. He's fast, strong, and can perform excellent combos. His aerial attacks (all 4) are extremely fun.

3. "Abilities that make the game interesting or challenging" - Captain Falcon is interesting to play as because of his unique mix of speed and high power, as well as his aerial attacks. The trick with Captain Falcon is to jump a lot and spend most of the game in the air. With almost every other character, you'll want to stay on the ground until you get a good chance for an aerial combo. The reason being is that Captain Falcon's best attacks and combo starters are his aerials.

Best of all time? This is a hard one. If I had to pick just one though, I would have to Mario, even if he is a commie. He has dominated the video game era since his debut, at least, in my opinion, he has. 

Is this even a contest? Obviously Gary Oak. I mean come on. Duh.

Not really. I all seriousness, I have to say Link. For many reasons. Reason 1 is that he has a lot of cool weapons. These weapons include a sword, a boomerang, a bow and arrows, a shield, deku nuts, etc. Reason 2 is that he rocks the elf look. I mean come on, what other video game character dresses like an elf and looks good? Reason 3 is his hair. I am 1000000% jealous.

I have to agree with tgags with Gary Oak. Lol jk

I think that the best game character is shadow the hedgehog. He is just the best character in anything ever. He is the same as sonic, but stronger and better looking. I must say that he should get more games, and I really loved shadow the hedgehog.

FaithFighter : I'd say the best videogame character of all time is Luigi. Luigi is better than Mario, he has a better moustache, he's funnier, he' cutter, he jumps higher. The only thing he doesn't have is that Mario when he runs, he stops sooner than Mario. So Luigi is better than Mario. Oh and our brave Young Link is one of the best too! He has cool items. Such as bow, bombs, boomerang, Hookshot, slingshot, Lens of Truth etc... he also have the magical instrument: Ocarina of Time! The Ocarina of Time plays a major role in OOT and MM. Young Link plays the Song of Time several times in Termina to return to the first day. He must do this several time so he has more time to free the Four Giants, who can stop the Moon. Now Luigi and Young Link are the best videogame characters.
