On my old laptop, I used to experiment with different texture packs all the time. For some reason, I've kept the normal textures when I transitioned to this computer about a year ago and kept them ever since.

They can be pretty amazing, bringing in graphics and detail for those tired of the intentional blockyness of the blocks.

What about you, do you use a minecraft texture pack?

Well, yeah. I do use one. I like it pretty much as they make the gaming experience better for me. Makes it look better.

I use the OCD texture pack. It makes many of the textures look cleaner and smoother. I'm not into any other texture packs that i've seen or tried.

I use the Sphax's BDCraft. I really like how it looks, looks like a cartoony/medieval kind of look to it. I like using the 64x64 pack, as in my opinion is the one that looks the best.

I also sometimes play minecraft without a texture pack as to speak, but I also like using shaders, as it makes everything looks magnificent!

I use the Sphax XmasBDcraft resource pack and the Wolfhound resource pack by Thistle. The wolfhound one is medieval themed, here's the link to the page. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/930275-64x6417wolfhound-pack/
-EDIT-
I linked to the wrong pack here's the right one.

I don't, mainly because I don't want to go through all that work. If I did, though, I'd probably enjoy it. If/When I get back into Minecraft, I'll probably snag one or two to use. They seem like they could be pretty awesome!!!

I used to use a lot of texture packs but then I found it too be annoying when I couldn't recognize some items and not many of them looked that great. So instead I just started using Faithful 64x64. Its a better and improved HD version of minecraft default. I fell in love with it when I used it and I've been using it for quite some time now. You can check out the texture for yourself here. I highly reccomend it to anyone who wants a better default.

I have tried a couple, though one stands out as a pack that practically need to enjoy Minecraft, and that is Soartex Fanver. I feel they have the right balance between something new and staying true to the original design of the game.

On the Xbox, there is a limited range of texture packs. But if I had to pick, then I would pick the Fantasy pack because it can make any building look mystical and it gives the surrounding world a very nice look.

Yes I use minecraft texture packs.....I just bought one 2 days ago...for the Xbox360 edition. It was the Minecraft City Texture. It s the best one I played in...but I don't really like the animals.....especially when the sheep is giving that smurky look. (its annoying)

Well, I played an adventure map called Herobrine's Mansion, and it recommended that I use A'therys Ascension texture pack for the game, and well, I've never switched back since.

It's actually a pretty great texture pack. If anyone's interested here's the link.

I recently got the Life 128 x 128 px texture pack. It's incredible.

When I did use texture packs, they used to be in much lower detail. So it's awesome to be using this one.

However, I soon learned that 'more realistic' does not mean 'looks nice'. In fact, the graphics for cobblestone look more way more realistic than it does during normal textures; it still make me cringe.

As of right now, I haven't really used any texture pack, because I really like the classic, default look of Minecraft, plus sometimes, I might also be a little too lazy to even add in the texture pack.

I have not yet bothered to make one yet because I did not see the need for them, though I do plan on experimenting a bit once I get my next laptop.

Since my last post in this thread, I have went around and tested out a couple Texture/Resource Packs, just for the fun of it and try out a whole different style of Minecraft, right now, I have like around 10 installed already.

I'm planning on adding more into Minecraft, including maybe making my own texture pack in the near future, whenever I do get a chance to it though.
