Mini Boss Encounter Theme

Wire Man: "Heh. Looks like we have to fight."

Zanbato Man: "Dive Man, you better pick where you wanna land, cuz I ain't gonna be buried under 20,000 leagues without a fight!"

Dive Man: "Heh. Such big talk from a couple of weaklings."

Wire Man: "Alright then. You asked for it."

Wire Man launches an electric ball towards. Dive Man launches a homing missile at Wire Man's attack, causing an explosion between both parties.

Dive Man: "I will not allow you to disturb these waters."

Zanbato Man: "Why does it matter what we're doing here anyway."

Dive Man: "This territory is natural territory for aquatic life to go on without being disturbed by unnatural occurrences. I myself rarely use these waters. As such, when people interrupt the natural order these waters hold, they must be punished."

Wire Man: "We didn't know."

Dive Man: "You've tampered with the waters, and now you'll pay the consequence."

Suddenly a ring comes on.

????: "Dive Man. I need you to return immediately."

Dive Man: "We have intruders. Can I finish them off first?"

????: "You can finish them off later. This is of the utmost importance. Get back here right now."

Dive Man: "Very well then. I'll be there soon."

Dive Man begins to submerge back into the water.

Dive Man: "Next time we meet...I will finish you off."

Dive Man disappears and the tides return to normal.

Seaside Bay Theme

Zanbato Man: "Looks like we caught a break there.

Wire Man: "I would've fried that guy."

Zanbato Man: "Out here in water probably wouldn't be an optimal fighting spot."

Wire Man: "It is when we have electricity."

Zanbato Man: "Probably would do more harm than good long term."

Wire Man: "I guess...Hmm?"

Zanbato Man: "What is it?"

Wire Man: "Do you see that dock over there?"

Zanbato Man: "Where?"

Wire Man points to the far left side of the bay.

Zanbato Man: "Was that there when we got here?"

Wire Man: "We probably just missed it. Anyways, we should head back to the bay and meet up with the others."

You both bring the boat back to the dock to see two men standing at the dock.

Man 1: "You two lucked out. Boats are free to use for a maximum of 30 minutes. Any longer and we would've had to charge you."

Man 2: "Just something you guys should keep in mind. Also, after 90 minutes, the boats stop working unless they're within a certain distance from the dock. Make sure you know what direction you're going when on a boat."

Wire Man: "Why are you telling us this?"

Man 2: "We tell everyone this when they get back from the water. It's kind of our job."

Man 1: "So you guys have a little more than 60 minutes left on the boat. If you want to continue using it, it'll cost 1 screw a minute."

Zanbato Man: "Sounds like a ripoff."

Man 2: "We know. But it's not our place to judge the prices here."

Man 1: "Anyways, that'll be all."

The two men walk away towards the food store.

Zanbato Man: "So we agree not to go on that boat again right?"

Wire Man: "Agreed."

You two walk away from the two men in the opposite direction and notice Vanish Woman and Wizard Man walking in your direction.

Mini Boss Encounter Theme

Vanish Woman: "Wizard Man, do you think we'll get more information by talking with Bubble Man? It doesn't look like he really wants to talk but I could be wrong."

Wizard Man: "It doesn't seem like he is one of the talking kind at all but I'd hardly want to end up as nothing more then a bubble lifting up into the sky. I say sometimes a fight might be inevitable, and who knows.. perhaps a few tricks here and there.. and he'll open up a bit... more."

Suddenly you hear an explosion in the distance.

Bubble Man: "Looks like someone went farther than they were supposed to. Too bad for whoever those suckers were."

Wizard Man: "Could it be..."

Vanish Woman: "It wouldn't surprise me if that was the case."

You then hear a ringing noise.

????: "Bubble Man. I need you to return immediately."

Bubble Man: "Very well. I'll be there soon blub."

Wizard Man: "That must be Ocean Man."

Vanish Woman: "Where is Ocean Man. What are you two planning?"

Bubble Man: "Unfortunately I have no more time to chitchat with you two blub. You two lucked out blublub. Next time you won't be so lucky blublub."

Bubble Man sinks back into the water. The bubbles surrounding him suddenly pop.

Seaside Bay Theme

Vanish Woman: "That must've been Ocean Man telling him to stop. If that's the case, either we're close or we're running out of time."

Wizard Man: "It very well may be both. I think we're getting close, if Bubble Man came looking for us. I can only surmise that Wire Man and Zanbato Man encountered Dive Man. That may have been the source of the explosion we heard."

Vanish Woman: "Hmm..."

Wizard Man: "What is it?"

Vanish Woman: "I just had a thought about what the food store manager said. The docks may be positioned differently but maybe they both point to the same spot somehow."

Wizard Man: "That would mean..."

Vanish Woman: "It's definitely possible. I don't know for sure, but it might be the best lead we have."

Wizard Man: "Either way, we need to hurry up. Let's return to the rendezvous point."

Vanish Woman: "Do you think Wire Man or Zanbato Man have found anything?"

Wizard Man: "I certainly hope so."

You both walk away from the dock towards the middle of the beach. You see Wire Man and Zanbato Man walking in your direction.

Wizard Man: "I see you've all made it back in one piece."

Zanbato Man: "What's that supposed to mean?"

Vanish Woman: "Nevermind that. Did you guys find out anything?"

For this update, I'm doing something rather unique. It won't happen often (in fact, it'll probably only happen three or so times, thus first one is more of an experimental one, but I'll allow you all to talk to each other in this thread as if you're having a conversation. Discuss the clues you've found so far and try to come up with a conclusion. I will also send a PM to you all discussing in more detail other clues you may have found that haven't been said in the update. From that, the four of you can come together and reach a conclusion. I'll give a deadline of Saturday night to try and reach a conclusion before I make an update (hopefully that Sunday). So I'll leave it to you guys. You should receive the PMs sometime before Thursday.

Well wire man, what do you suppose is our best course of action right now?

Well I noticed that nobody even went near the kiddie pool that was near the food store when Bubble Man showed up. I also thought he was particularly interested in the cliff nearby. I don't know if those two things have anything in common but I think they both bear investigation.

I've decided to extend the deadline to next Thursday. I have a pretty busy week coming up (test and essay to do by Thursday), so I won't be able to update. SO that's why I'm giving you the extension. The next update will probably be posted next weekend.

 We encountered Dive Man southwest which is a good sign. Still not sure sure where to go though.

Seaside Bay Theme

After talking about what you noticed, you couldn't reach a conclusion as to where the base is.

Wire Man: "It doesn't make any sense."

Vanish Woman: "We should probably look around more."

Suddenly you hear an explosion coming from the food store. The four of you run to the food store and see the food store manager lying there. Everyone else in the vicinity has run away from the food store.

Vanish Woman: "What happened?"

Food Store Manager: "It's begun..."

The food store manager soon passes out. The four of you look around and notice that no one is around.

Zanbato Man: "What do we do now?"

You all hear a geyser-like noise coming from the cliff.

Wizard Man: "Looks like something is going on over there. I think it would be best t-"

You all suddenly hear an explosion behind you. You see a giant wave of water headed towards you.

Vanish Woman: "This isn't good. We have to go."

Wire Man: "But Ocean Man is probably there."

Vanish Woman: "And how are we supposed to get there?"

Zanbato Man: "We can't. She's right. We can only wait."

Wire Man: "We won't make it back up the cliff in time. How do we get out of here?"

You then see the two men from earlier running to the kitty pool.

Zanbato Man: "It's you two guys."

Man 1: "You guys gotta get out of here. That wave is going to destroy everything."

Wire Man: "How do you suppose we do that?"

Man 2: "This kitty pool leads to a chamber. It's the only way we can escape."

Vanish Woman: "Is that why nobody used it?"

Man 1: Not exactly. I don't have time to explain. Let's go."

The two men pull out a device and stick it into the ground. The water in the kitty pool drains and the pool lifts up to reveal a secret corridor. You all run into the corridor, and the secret door closes right before the wave hits the bay.

Man 2: "That was a close call."

Vanish Woman: "Who are you two?"

Man 1: "We're the same as you two. Dr. Light sent us to investigate. I assume you guys managed to get the DEAR message we sent back."

Man 2: "Direction East, Angle Right. It should've led you to this kitty pool."

Wizard Man: "If you knew the base was here, why didn't you just say so."

Man 1: "We don't know the exact location of the base, but we know that Dive Man is protecting it."

Vanish Woman: "So what's the significance of this place then?"

Man 2: "Someone is being held captive. Someone who knows the exact location of the base."

Wire Man: "So what exactly is Ocean Man building?"

Man 1: "That we don't know. Only he knows."

Man 2: "We need you guys to find him and save him. He should be at the end of this corridor."

Zanbato Man: "Why don't you guys save him then?"

Man 2: "We can't."

Man 1: "You have to save him. If you don't, Ocean Man's plan will succeed."

You can choose to do one of the following:
- You can go to save the person being held captive
- You can ask Man 1 and Man 2 more questions
- You can try and go back to the bay

I say we go save the man. It looks like our best option to find Ocean Man.

I'll go ahead and save the guy being held captive.
