I am in no clun or on any team at my school. Just a kid who goes, learns, leaves. My dad wants me to get one but I thikn not. What do you guys and girls do ? 

You mean clubs and sport teams? I don't participate in any sport (used to do Field Hockey last year though), but I am currently in the Literature and Magazine club. I was invited to see the first club meeting and I decided to join since then.

Mr. Zed : I don't know what that means. Can you show me an example?

I play football for my high school. It is not easy.

I'm big in to lacrosse which is a lot of fun I'm also in debate and scouts which are both a lot of fun  

Mr. Zed : extra curicular activitys huh hmm i do some clubs and other things too like soccer clubs and basket ball clubs and foot ball clubs ekky sport clubs meow cat club i like soccer club though

And bro join one if your school is anything like mine there are plenty of clubs to join I'm sure there are clubs with people that have similar interest as you. Its also a good way to begin making a community of friends 

I fourth grade, I played soccer in all four semesters. In fifth grade, I didn't do anything. In sixth grade, which was only last year, I played after-school badminton every Wednesday for all three semesters. Now, I don't do any extra-curricular activities, as I have a lot of work and no time ".  

Mr. Zed : well I've done free-running, archery and basketball for the last two years. Maybe you could do an activity OUT of school, I've been going to a firearms club for the last year but that's really only cus my dad's friend owns it

Mr. Zed : Any school  would like to see people who are balanced and not only focused on academics. It benefits you in the future. It gives a good impression that you have good time management between academics and getting involved in something that you like to do. If school extracurricular activities don't interest you, you can try volunteering (or working in the future) for future applications whether it would be work or school in order to make you a well-rounded person.

During my high school years, I helped some of my teachers during their free time. My clubs were the ping-pong club and scrabble then I got recognized for high participation in school service. I also worked for 2 summers so far.

There are a lot of choices to do something so don't be afraid to try something outside of your academics. It's always good to start early.

Mr. Zed : If you're in high school, no matter how smart you are, it's really the combination of extra-curriculars and academics that allows you to choose your college or profession versus your limited options choosing you. Also, definitely listen to ghostfishy's advice too.

I do running, swimming, current events club, and school newspaper. I love athletics and staying fit. I also think it's my duty to keep up with politics and current events than relying on parents or hearsay. I'm at an age where I can make my own political decisions instead of letting my parents make them for me. I do the school newspaper since it helps with my writing and coherency. I wouldn't be half as good a poster if I hadn't had prior experience writing.

I do cross country, I am in the art, and spanish club, I also like to be involved with school and enjoy the high school years because it really becomes a memorable experience in your life that you can look back on. So if you are in 8th grade now or starting high school  I would recommend getting into little things like getting involved with the yearbook or joining a club or something, at least make it so that you can enjoy your high school years rather than just going to school and then leaving. 

I am also in the SCA for my school. So I am involved quite a bit with my school. Hopefully you can also create cool memories of high school by starting off with little simple things. 

Since I'm nerdy, I think this list explains my life. Gaming Club, Internation Relations Club, Drama Club, Track and Field, Choir, Band, every Encore class, Yearbook Club (I'm the photographer), and Book Club. I enjoy all of my clubs, and I have a lot going on in my life. My school, which is a 6-12 international school, has a whole LOT of clubs.

I actually started my own after-school club with my algebra 1 teacher as my sponsor. It is called the Fantasy Games Club. Basically nerd club. We play a lot of Magic the Gathering, and we have our own official Dungeon Master for DnD! Starting your own club for an interest you have is a good idea. If it is possible, I strongly suggest you try to start a club for it. Just getting people to join is the problem. I also joined German club, but that is not often enough to be of any particular interest. I used to do ROTC, but I was not into it.

In my town, the Senior/highschool band is so small (around 10 or so kids, WITH kids from the elementary helping out) that it's an extra-curricular activity. I also take place in any community plays that I can and I also play Basketball and Volleyball.

I haven't done any school-related activities in the past three years. Back in elementary, i ran track and field. I didn't do too well, but it was worth the experience. Outside of school, i help the teachers and i plan on volunteering at the Pan Am games when summer rolls around. That will get me an early start on my high school credits.

Currently, I had signed up to be on my schools intramural softball team. I really want to play baseball, but I never played it before, so I feel that this would be a great way to start and a great way to have fun as well. Though I never played Softball either.
