Anyway,i love this Pokemon,its in my top 5,and its actually a good Pokemon in the game,so i am just going to stop you guys right now,and recommend you to get this Pokemon,go...right now...find it,get it somehow,this review is just for the record,so lets get this over with,so i can go back to my non existent social life.

At the start this thing can have,

Thunderpunch
Smog
Leer
Ember
Smokescreen

Magmortar can have any of these moves,good luck getting the good ones though

Faint attack,12: This move has a base attack damage of 60,and will almost always hit,pretty good move take it

Fire spin,15: This move has a base attack damage of 35 and has 85% accuracy,this move will last for 2-5 turns,take it if you want but i don't like it

Clear smog,19: This move has a base attack damage of 50 and once again will almost always hit,uh...kind of weak for me but whatever

Flame burst,22: This move has a base attack damage of 70 and has 100% accuracy,this move will also hit every pokemon in double or triple battles,so have fun with that,this is a pretty good move,so go take it

confuse ray,26: This move has 100% accuracy,and will confuse the target,good move take it use it love it

Fire punch,29: This move has a base attack damage of 75 and has 100% accuracy,also this move has a 10% chance of burning the target,very good move,take it use it love it

Lava plume,36: This move has a base attack damage of 80 and has 100% accuracy,this move also has a 30% chance of burning the target,to keep it going,this move also hits all Pokemon in double and triple battles,great move take it use it love it

Sunny day,42: This move will boost the power of fire type moves for about 5 turns,great move use it if you want,but its not that effective in game

Flamethrower,49: Ah one of the best if not the best fire type move in all the games,in my oh so humble opinion,this move has a base attack damage of 95 and has 100% accuracy,This move also has a 10% chance of burning the target,great move one of my favorites,take it use it love it

Fire blast,55: This move has a base attack damage of 120 and has 85% accuracy,this move also has 10% chance of burning the target,i have said this so many times,but i prefer accuracy over power,so take it if you want,but its not one of my favorites,and i don't recommend it if you already have flamethrower

Hyper beam,62: This move has a base attack damage of 150 and has 90% accuracy,sadly this move requires the user to wait one turn to recharge,this is not one of my favorite moves and i don't really recommend it,but hey its still pretty fun to use


Stats

Hp,75: This is a decent health stat,but hey it could be alot better

Attack,95: This stat is going to be somewhat effective is you want a physical attack,but Magmortar is built from the ground up to be a special attacker,still you can always teach an old dog new tricks

Defense,67:...rather weak

Sp.Atk,125: WONDERFUL,this is the bridge to this Pokemon's greatness,and the other stats are just the pillar

Sp.Def,95: Once again a wonderful stat very effective

Speed,83: Somewhat effective and a very fair trade off

This Pokemon has 3 weaknesses,first we have ground and rock which will be your major weaknesses,due to the fact that most rock and ground type attacks are physical,and that is a problem because of Magmortatr's low defense,fortunately,Rock and ground types have easy weaknesses that are easy to find in every game,now water is going to be a bit tricky,your going to be able to take a few hits from water because of the special defense,still you can find easy defenses for it like,grass and,electric.

This Pokemon's leveling process is a bit slow,but why don't you work for your Pokemon for a second

Flamethrower or fire blast: by by grass types ice types etc.

Thunderbolt or thunder: by by flying types water types etc.

Earthquake: This move is meant to be your main attack move,because its so perfect,so use this and spam it like a mindless zombie

Psychic: Eh...you can replace it if you want but i really like it

I really like this set,and i think its one of the best i have ever made,still if you have a better set,or just some ideas,please tell me in a pm or a reply to this thread

Gyms Rival and Elite 4

Gyms: This Pokemon will be VERY effective in gyms once it gets some good moves

Rival : This is where this Pokemon shines,it will be effective against your rival the whole way through,just burn that kid to cinder

Trainers:....you already know what i think of them....

Elite 4: Alright should you take this Pokemon to the elite 4...Yes,it will be very effective,it will boost your chances of winning significantly,so i highly recommend you take it

Tips

1,This Pokemon is a tank,it can take on a wide variety of types,and can easily lead your team
2.You can give this Pokemon a healing item that can heal slowly,or something that heals alot of health in one burst,really it can work both ways
3.If you Ev train this Pokemon,i recommend you make it focus on health,and defense,it needs the bulk

Final thoughts: This is one of my favorite Pokemon EVER,it is so good,its moveset is hit and miss at the start,but it starts to slowly but surely revive itself near the end,its stats are a bit lacking,but they are ultimately effective,Its tms are amazing,and the a.i will not have a chance once it hits level 36,i don't have many major gripes with this Pokemon,although its moveset is lacking at the start,and its stats really could use some polish,i still highly recommend this Pokemon,if you are looking for a fire type that can take on multiple types and multiple targets,all in all i recommend it,and i will give it a agent of awesomeness badge for setting the bar for ALOT of fire types,now i had a hard time rating this Pokemon,but hey if you don't like the rating,if you feel its over rated,or under rated,well....eat dirt and die,this is my opinion,deal with it
