For me Tauros is the best! it's fast. It's a defencive wall and it has good attack which it learns good attacks too like for instance when I was in the Team Rocket Radio Tower Saga in SS my Tauros learned Zen Headbutt and I swept every Rocket Grunt

Togekiss for me. It's adorable, and with Aura Sphere and Air Slash coming from the highest Special attacker Flying type non legendary (sheesh! that was long) in the games so far, it can sweep lots of things. If you're looking for pure normal types, I like Chansey (or Blissey, they're the same to me) and Eevee. Of course. Blissey is probably the coolest and fattest Special Wall in the game (714 HP + Leftovers + Special Attacks = Epicness). Eevee is adorable, plus evolves into seven of my favorites (guess which...)

The only few Normal types i would train are Granbull, Snorlax, and Togetic.

Granbull has solid stats, and it can learn the Elemental Fangs. That gives it excellent type coverage. And then add in another good move like Crunch or something and its extremely reliable in tight spots.

Snorlax, is another excellent Normal type. It has absurdly high SpDef, allowing it to tank many of the Special sweepers like Zam and Gengar. It also learns Crunch and Body Slam/Strength. Both of which can spam off its high Atk stat making it a beast in battle.

But If you exclude legendaries and Snorlax/Munchlax, then the best normal type Pokémon you can find (yet... might be better ones in Black/White) is Slaking! It has a total base stat of 670 (Same number as Regigigas a legendary normal type!). It's even better then a Snorlax! But if your looking for a real tank against SP attack, then I highly suggest Blissey which as the highest HP base stat (255 (best in the whole game)) and an overall very good SP defense (135) so it can quite easily resist a critical hit waterfall ! I hope that this was useful !

I'd have to go with Eevee since it gives you the chance to be very unique and powerful pokemon, but in the game I do like Linoone since it picks things up and is very good with TMs.

I say shiney arceus for the win(heheheh, you never said shiney pokemon don't count)! He is the pokegod and he can change to any type he wants to. And that is why he's my favorite and can pawn all.

I also train a Linoone to 100 whenever I can for several reasons. 1) It is super fast! 2) It can learn Surf, Thunder, Flamethrower, and Earthquake! 3) When it becomes stronger it finds better items with Pick-up! 4) It is so cute! There ya go!
