My favorite region is the Hoenn region it marks the birthplace of my favorite Pokemon Absol and I loved alot of the other Pokemon as well.
I think the newer regions are a bit too bland but that's just me and my opinion of course.
Hoenn also is the region where my favorite Pokemon game took place Pokemon Emerald.

I'm going to say Unova, Black and White are by no means my favorite games, however the region itself is the most interesting, I mean I found it much more interesting when comparing it to Sinnoh and Hoenn.

Hoenn is my opinion on the best region. 

When I first played the Hoenn region (Ruby), I was so amazed. It was such a fun time, the additional challenges in there, and just  a whole new experience for me. I also saw the Deoxys movie, and that somehow really inspired me to play.

Don't get me wrong, Kanto and Johto are not bad regions, and neither are the newer game regions, but Hoenn is still a classic for me, and is my absolute favorite.

I like Kanto, Sinnoh, and Unova, I do not get why all the people hate unova, I, for one, like it. Sinnih, everyone likes it, but for me, it is pretty good, not the best though...Kanto, it is just the old original. I like the old original.
