Hello everyone! Today I'm going to give you suggestions on what to use your master ball on in Pokemon Red, Blue, Green (for Japan), Fire Red, and Leaf Green. Now, as you probably know, the master ball is the custom Pokeball that you only get once in any game without cheating or trading. It will catch any wild Pokemon without fail. I used mine to catch Moltres, which might not have been the best idea, but hey, I caught Mewtwo in an Ultra ball. So why not?

Articuno- The first legendary bird

This is Articuno, the first of three legendary birds. It is an ice/flying type. This can be found in Seafoam Islands (southwest of Fuchsia City). It will always be level 50. I recommend bringing a fire type and an electric type, both around level 50 if you don't plan to use a master ball on it.

Zapdos- The second legendary bird

Basically the same as Articuno, the only difference being it is found in the Power plant. Because it's in the power (electricity) plant, and it's a bird, it's an electric/flying type, so a rock type and ice type of about equal level could fight it if you don't want to use your master ball.

Moltres- The third legendary bird

The one I used my master ball on. Basically the same as the other two, but found in Mt. Ember. This one is a fire/flying type, so a water Pokemon of equal level could overpower it if you don't use your master ball.

Mewtwo- Protector of Cerulean Cave

This legendary cat-like Pokemon can be found at the root of Cerulean Cave, north of the grass patch in Cerulean, but you must beat the Elite four, save Lorelei, and have a Pokemon that knows surf. This one will be level 70 instead of fifty, so bring a dark or bug Pokemon of roughly the same level if you don't plan to use your master ball. I think out of the four so far, you should use your master ball on this one.

Raikou, Entei and Suicune- Which starter did you pick?

These legendaries, each level 50, appear depending on which starter you picked.

IF YOU PICKED SQUIRTLE- Raikou the electric type will show. Bring a ground Pokemon of that level if you don't want to use the master ball.
IF YOU PICKED BULBASAUR- Entei the fire type will be yours. Bring a water or rock type of similar level if you don't use the master ball.
IF YOU PICKED CHARMANDER- You will see Suicune the water type. Bring an electric or grass type of near that level if you want to save the master ball.

Ho-Oh- From the cover of Pokemon Gold and Heart Gold

Situated on Island 8, Ho-Oh can be found at the very northwest part. It's a fire/flying type like Moltres, only level 70, so be sure to bring a water type of similar level if you want to keep your master ball.

Lugia- From the cover of Pokemon Silver and Soul Silver

Similar to Ho-Oh, only at the northEAST part of the same island, it is also level 70, only a psychic and flying type. Bring a dark or rock type of equal level to lower it's health if you don't plan to use your master ball.

So those are the Pokemon I recommend using the master ball on. If I had to pick 3, here's my order:

1. Lugia
2. Ho-Oh
3. Mewtwo

Bye guys! Have a nice day and good luck in Tour de Vizzed everyone!

Black Bot : Not necessarily, you can use your master ball on anything you want. I used mine on the first legendary Pokemon I encountered, Moltres. I didn't really know better back then. I looked it up and people said I could. So I used it and now I have a Moltres!

DaFlame12 : I was TRYING to save it, but I had no choice, I had to use a Master Ball.. If I got a Gameshark and cheated, of course, I will use it on any wild Pokemon I encounter.

Black Bot : I prefer not to use cheats and cheat emulators like Gameshark. Using the speed up function is enough, and I use that all the time in Fire Red.

Well I really hate finding legendary Pokémon such as latios, and latias, and they just escape like with a snap of a finger. Well when I get a master ball I use it on either one of those Pokémon. Or on other games, like the johto region, I use my master balls on the 3 legendary dogs. It make it a lot more easier to catch than just having to keep finding it over, and over again till it's health is deplenished, and then you can catch it. So those are Pokémon I use my master balls on. It is so risky trying to hurry, and throw a ultra ball or something, and hoping.

Master balls? I would just overuse the savestate button until I caught something. Of course if I were to use it on something, Perhaps Lugia or Suicune. Those things take forever to catch.

Black Bot : Me either, and I kind of don't want to know. I don't consider the speed up button (space bar) cheating, but if you do, then I guess I'm a cheater.

linkmaster99 : Yeah, this might be kind of a noob question, but what game are Latios and Latias in? I'm guessing a newer game like Pokemon Black and White and their sequels, but I don't really know. I wish I still had my master ball.

chaoscontrolx : I don't have a way to tell if my save state button works, so I just use save from the Pokemon menu and close and restart every time something goes wrong. I know it's risky, but I have to do it from now on.

DaFlame12 :
As a matter of fact, Latios and Latias are in Pokemon Emerald and are obtainable in every other future game.

chaoscontrolx : Oh okay, thanks for telling me!

linkmaster99 : Okay, I didn't know.

Black Bot : Yeah, it's probably better not to count it. It's not really cheating. I know, cheating is wrong. Especially when no one really knows you cheat.

I tend to waste mine. I usually use it when I don't really need to, but a Pokémon is ticking me off, so I use a master ball to show it whose boss. But, then again, I usually have the unlimited hack going, so it's all good.

thing1 : What a pleasure to get a reply from you! It's not good to hack, but if someone does it, I can't have anything against it. After all, it's your decision, not mine.

Black Bot : There is a speed hack on Mario Kart Wii? You mean rom, right? (I don't have a Wii either, though.) It's not really spamming.

DaFlame12 : A pleasure to get a reply to me...? What have I done to deserve that adoration?

And no... not necessarily a hack. You know, back on the GameBoy Color, there was that cheat cartridge that you put in the slot, and then you put the game in the cheat cartridge? That is what I am talking about.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
