I'm sort of taking a break from Vizzed Board probably until July 20th. I may come on once a day or every other day during that time but you can guarantee hardly any posts from me. I'll still be checking PM's but if I receive any that are unimportant or are of stupid questions by which the answers could have been found on the board, I wont even bother replying.

I wont be very active this weekend but I'll go almost completely inactive starting July 6th.

The reason for this is that I've put just so much time into vizzed board in the past few months now. I've put 160+ hours into the site in the past 1 alone which has resulted into me putting off to the side a lot of billable work and I now need to dedicate at least 2 weeks to catch up on stuff that I'm way behind on. Since January I've probably put almost 500 hours into the site.

Though the Retro Game Room isn't finished (though hardly anything on the internet is ever truly finished), I think it's at a point where it's close enough to completion for me to take a break from it. The system itself is like 95% complete and with the help of a few members, mainly Solehite, more content will be added to each game. Refer to my other thread here for more info on the game room.

Anyways, what this means for the staff is that you guys will have to be sure to rely on Geeogree to do stuff I would normally do, he'll be in charge while I'm inactive.

I think things should be fine. After all the features which have been implemented, the spam rate should be a lot lower.

You could use a break; it's clear that all of the new features have been time consuming and taken a lot of hard work.

Good for you! You seriously need a break. Even though it's not going to be a vacation, it's still a break. So enjoy it!

basically everything that used to go through David goes through me until he gets back. It's not like I'll be changing anything... but leave David alone unless you are doing a job for him.

Lute. Vicks (or whatever) was owner once.

He was only a temp owner when I was testing things out with him.

No one will ever receive the power level of owner since I'm the only owner. Admin is the highest possible power level and admins actually have equal power as I do when it comes to board admin tools.

But yeah, spending that much time on a single thing can get overwhelming, just sometimes nice to take a little break, especially since I got other things I need to focus on for a while.

It's not that posting takes up much of my time but it's that when I do post a lot I'm constantly thinking about wanting to expand the site and I currently can't afford to set aside any more time to keep expanding so to prevent those thoughts from crossing my mind, this is the best way to do it. I'm also easily distracted by vizzed board so this will cut down distractions lol.

Taking a break could be good for you AND vizzed. You could come up with some great new ideas or something.

I can't even understand how you can still be going on this site every day after 5 years ?!?!?!?! It's crazy. I know you would make some money out of it but surely you don't make that much.

lol, I guess it does look that way. What I meant was that David has been putting so much work into Vizzed that he deserves a break from the constant PM's, etc.
We dont want him burning out before he can come up with more great ideas for the board, retro rooms, etc.

The current vizzed board is about 5 years old but vizzed board has been around for like 8 years so it's been sorta a life long hobby for me and this will be the first time I take a break from the board in those 8 years. Since the very first vizzed board opened up in around 2002, I haven't gone more than a week without posting but this may be the first if I do go an entire week without a single post.
