Tails the Fox : i agree with you , some people should make longer , but i believe the minimum word count should be a least 300 words ,  500 will cause a huge decrease in game review and most of the people who make short reviews are newbie , they don't know much about the site . But this is a great idea .

Yeah, some people might just do it to get a lot of words or get a big post for the tour de vizzed, when they haven't even beaten or played the game before. And they should add detail to those posts to keep it interesting, instead of making it like 200 words and very brief, to capture someone's attention and get them to play the game, you have to give a detailed and interesting review that talks about the good experience you have had with the game. I try to be as truthful and detailed on my games as I can, they may not be thousands of words, but mine are anywhere form 600-1000 words each, so I like to be honest and thoughtful when I reflect about the games I have played.

For example myself I write short stories which I find much more enjoyable than a generic review.
