You have to take into considerations that times have changed since the Korean war of fifties. Nowadays China has lots of economical interests in the western world that are more important to them than the everlasting fight against capitalism even though they are ruled by a communist party in theoretically in the same way as NK. The Chinese communist party has pretty much adopted the "money walks, BS talks" way of thinking the rest of the world has, though in NK it seems the whole country's leaders still want to pretend it is still the 70`s,

It is true that China has been the most important ally and source of goods to the NK in the past, but they have also been lately more skeptical. Seeing as how the money they gave were not spend the way it was supposed to and how this Stalinist rethoric is bringing nothing but strife that is bad for their economy, markets and so on which for them is more and more important these days. You are ofcource right that NK is in debt to China in many ways, but the Chinese are starting to see that they will never ever get back anything by supporting them. That is why they have been using more harsh rethoric towards them now than they ever have before, about not following the mandates of the UN for example. They might start to see all support and money they give to NK they might as well pour down a bottomless well.

Why now all this trouble you ask? In my opinion the reason is that Kim Jong-Un is still a fairly new leader and he only tries to show mainly to his own people that he can play with high stakes. The whole country is based on the threat of an outside enemy (mainly you Americans) and the concept of a never ending war and the threat of a new war that can break out any day. That is how they keep people in line there. These threats are nothing new so to speak when you look back the history of NK:s foreign relations. Something fishy is happening behind the scenes alright but how far are they willing to go with it? Time will tell. The nuclear war according to them was supposed to start last week but now the new dead line is Wednesday when they want all diplomats to clear their embassies. I doubt nothing will happen even then.

Well, I can say this...

Brigand: thought you might be interested in this...

There will be no nukes. None. However... I have heard rumors from all over the place that we might be going to back to war with North Korea. I do not know when, how, who, or any of that... but if the U.S. Does... I will probably be one of the first just because of where I am stationed and because of the close proximity to Korea.

Good question. I would say it depends. I saw on the news this morning that North Korea will be doing a missile launch today, so who knows...I'm not into the whole "World War 3" myths and I'm not getting into the middle of this. I would just say "Brock!!! Get of your lazy butt and MOVE!!! There's a war going on and we can count on you to stop it!!!" LOL!

I agree that an attack on the US by North Korea would be suicidal, however, I do think that North Korea will try and attempt to attack the US and even South Korea. They are progressing very quickly in the weapons and in their December missal trials they showed that they do have the ability to attack as far inland as Arizona.

You have to think about this. One of the only nations in the world has created a military pact with North Korea and that country is China. The question isn't can we defeat North Korea the Question is can we defeat China. China has grown to the second most powerful nation in the world. China is prepared to take on America. They are building war ships, they are increasing their ground troups and they are building nuclear weapons and they are prepared to become the number one most powerful nation in the world. The question isn't do we want to take North Korea the question is can we take on China. In my opinion that answer is no. China will destroy us. They have increased the import of oil making them just as industrialized as us and they have twice as many people as us. China has been around since the dawn of time and they have become someone you don't want to mess with. I know a lot about history but there are things I don't know about such as American Bonds and I do know that China owns more American Bonds than America owns and that leads me to believe that China pretty much owns us and I think that if a war between them and us was to arise they would dominate. So to answer your question I think that if we went to war with North Korea we would end up in a war with China and they would probably destroy us.

Nope I don't believe they will actually launch a nuclear attack on any nation because I don't think they have the resources nor the technology to pull it off and besides it hasn't made good on any of its previous threats to nuke anyone.

~Cryo Crystal~ :

I also agree with you. Other than what I said before I do believe that North Korea does not have the resources. North Korea is one of the poorest nations on this rock we call earth. Even if they did have nuclear weapons they only have a few and once launched that would be the end of North Korea. They do not have the economy or wealth to wage a war. There are signs such as the quote that states "We will have a nuclear program even if it means our citizens must eat grass to survive." Even if they did launch nukes at us they would only have a few and the end of their campaign would be when the nukes are launched. They do not have the resources or wealth to afford a war. But like I said if China was to become involved we would be screwed.

Well, based on history, I think we're still in the Korean War, even know it ended in 1953, but they wasn't any kind of peace treaty signed thus the war hasn't actually ended, it's more of a ceasefire, but now recently, with North Korea, I think the ceasefire is ending and we're back into the Korean War once again.

IgorBird122 :

It's not really that we are back in them times. You have to understand that North Korea is one of the only Communist countries that still exists and they take pride in that. Standing the test of time we are still here. So they feel that they have something to prove so they behave the way they do. I can totally understand their mentality "We are proof that communism can stand the test of time." They have every right to brag that their form of government is in fact a credible and powerful form of government it's just the fact that it comes at a price. North Koreans are some of the poorest people in the new world and when they try to escape they only have one place to go....China. China has an agreement that all North Korean defectors will be captured and sent back to North Korea to face the maximum penalty of death. North Korea could def take over South Korea but the only thing stopping them is the back up of US Troops and they know if they mess with us it's Over for them but possibly for us as well. Basically as long as North Korea has a treaty with China and I think they have one with Russia too I'm not sure they will remain to be a power in this world that will not be stopped.

IgorBird122 : You bringing up Cuba that way is a bit ironic for what I am about to bring up

I find it funny that people really think this will happen. I mean, everybody has heard the term 'history repeats itself'. But clearly a lot of people don't remember a certain event identical to this one that happened not TOO long ago. Anyone ever hear of the Cuban Missile Crisis? Exact same thing. People panicked over nothing just because of a little media over dramatizing the situation.

No. If they did, we would wipe them off the face of the planet. It is just as easy as that.

I wouldn't be to caught up in this. Even if they did have nukes I doubt they would launch an attack. They can't even support their citizens let alone an army capable of taking out the US and whoever else joins in.

You just have to wonder whether or not Northern southern northern shnorthern...I just have to wonder whether or northern Korea has nukular weapons of massivicularous destruction, because is my species of voters misunderestimated how crazied I am in my brainucular chambersurrris. I have had this pen shoved up my bungiculous opener for about a week, and I have now officially signed a contractural contract stating that Korea is officially THE FACES OF EVIL...er...I means...THE AXIS OF EVIL. You see, there is probably someone aiming at my face with a laser right now. So why not dim that laser boundary slightly, and rotate it, and discharge its nuclear particles by reflecting it back at the pointer with this mirror? *gunshot* Oops...looks like now I'm in hell.

xandermartin98 :
if you are going to make posts like that please dont even reply to debate topics. your reply to logical falacies 101 really wasnt any better.

thing1 :
how? you realise that no nation tells there soldiers whats actually happening? as it happens north korea has fired numerous missiles, they just havent been nuclear. and they have detonated multiple nuclear devices, just not mounted in missiles.

at any rate, north and south are talking again so the situation has been defused for the next 4 months, 6 if we're lucky. then the north will do something equally or more stupid, and the cycle will continue. rinse and repeat, sunrise sunset.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
