This is kind of sad, because if Microsoft Games falls to its impending doom, Rare might as well do the same. You know Rare, right? Banjo-Kazooie? Conker? Jet Force Gemini? If Rare disappears from existence, we are only left with games they made in the past and not be able to play its future games, which could possibly become great.

NalaTheLion : Yeah, Rare made some great games. Especially Banjo-Kazooie, and Banjo-Tooie. It would be a shame to see them go under. Hopefully if the Xbox goes down, they'll migrate to the Playstation.

Eirinn : Or hopefully Nintendo will buy Rare back. But wait... that would be a little selfish for Nintendo to simply purchase Rare and watch Microsoft go up in flames.

Eirinn : I would hope Nintendo will buy them back, if this were to happen. My original thought on this was that everyhing would be fine. But now hearing that the Sony isn't doing well, and the PS4 not looking all that impressive, it might be he end for them in the gaming industry.



As for Microsoft, in terms of money, they should be fine, but from what I've heard about the Xbox, it will stink. With the single Xbox hing that has been discussed, would be terrible for them. But I've heard about something else that, I think, would destroy them. It's something that would make it so you couldn't play your Xbox unless you are online. If the rumours are true, they are done.



With all the negative hings that seem to be coming out about the new systems, I truely believe Nintendo has a chance to win this generation of systems, though I think at least Microsoft will have at least one more chance at it.

NalaTheLion : Yeah, Nintendo would be a better choice for Rare. And I will actually be somewhat surprised if one of the three doesn't tank with this generation, or at least suffer alot of damage.

patar4097 : I actually don't get why everyone is saying Sony is suffering. They seem to be at the very least doing ok. And I really thought the PS4 was sounding really promising, but most people seem to disagree with me on that as well. Are we reading different reports, or am I just that far behind the industry? Can you link me to an example?

Eirinn : I was just going off of what alexanyways was saying. I wasn't aware of it either, but if they aren't doing bad, they will definitely survive for a longer time. If they all had the same amount of money at the time, I would think that Xbox would be the first one to go down.

Nintendo's doing pretty good, but most people don't think too fondly of the Wii U, Nintendo's new addition to the Wii. Oh well, at least it didn't do as badly as the Virtual Boy.

I think the future of gaming consoles will eventually die since Microsoft and Sony are planning to restrict a few things such as presumed games I heard you will have to get a code and can't burrow games which will in my opinion affect the future consoles greatly.

NalaTheLion : Yeah, the wii U really disappointed me personally. I was hoping they would go back to a more traditional console, but that's just me.

austipokedude : I agree there. If they do that, it will likely be the death of them both.

Eirinn : So, if Sony stops, and Microsoft's stuff sucks, and Nintendo doesn't get something going with the Wii U, what will happen? I doubt everybody will jump over to a PC. I think no matter what happens, at least two people will come out of this generation no matter what, and Nintendo has already shown that they haven't messed up as much as the PS4 and Xbox 720 could possibly end up, with the no used games, always online, and whatever, so I think one of those could end up finished some time in the somewhat near future.

I don't think they're going anywhere. Half my class has a Microsoft or Sony Console. My second best choice is Undecided, but I can't really choose.
