i dont think nintendo are down and out. They have a niche in the market and I cant see them being squeezed out any time soon.

I heard that they were gonna make where you can not burrow games from your friends for the only way to get the games is digitally which makes me want to not buy the console at all I also heard that Microsoft was planning on doing the same thing with the new upcoming Xbox.

And I think if this happened, it would be the worst thing they could do. Nobody would buy a $50 game that they might end up hating, or maybe something happens to their PS4, and then you are screwed. Terrible idea.

The PS4 might be a good step-up from the past generation. The only bad thing is no backward compatibility, which would make the console that more valuable. Imagine a console that can play all 4 playstation games. That would've been nice. (Unless I'm wrong and it's been updated)

Microsoft has removed itself from the Console Wars just leaving Sony vs Nintendo. That's if you count family friendly games by Nintendo an actual console and not just family bonding time or whatever.
I don't know if you guys have seen Sony's E3 Expo yesterday but they blew the lid off of the 8th gen systems. (Excluding 3ds, wii u)

First off games WON'T be locked, once you purchase them you own them wholely, you can trade them to a friend and sell them to an independent gaming store without the extra fees.
The system will be 399 American dollars which is 100 A.D. cheaper than the Xbone. (Which is Xboned)
There is ONE limitation though, and can you guess where they found the idea ? Xbox 360. Online multiplayer will only be available to members of Playstation Plus. (A feature on Playstation 3 and 4 that gives you discounts on games, avatars and themes and free games occasionally)
PS+ is only 5 dollars a month though, which I believe is cheaper than Xbox Live.
There won't be any stupid Kinect or required movement device to be attached to the system 24/7 unlike the Xbone.
There won't be a required login time limit, so you don't need to connect to the internet every 24 hours like the Xbone.
In my opinion the controller looks better and has a better feel to it as long as it isn't too small, as some people have big hands.

Figured it'd be nice to mention that the PS4 release dates have been announced. November 15th for NA, 29th for Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. PS4 will come to 32 countries by the end of the year.
