*ahem* I might be able to help you out with this. You can build up your stamina first before doing some rigid exercises. This is the hardest part for me since I'm not naturally an athletic person, but I had somehow managed to build my stamina a bit, just enough so I could jog 1 mile without exhausting myself too much ( but running's a different matter ).

Eirinn :
and
Juliet :

Welp,  you guys certainly did help me today!  I finally got back on the treadmill.  Weighing myself this morning after eating a substantial meal, I weighed 177.6 pounds.  (AGH.  Major sad face)

I did 45 minutes and ended up burning 424 calories, while 'traveling' a distance of 3.17 miles.  (15 minutes was at 5.5 mph and 1% incline, another 15 minutes was at 3.5mph and 1% incline, and the final 15 minutes was at 3.0mph and 0% incline)

I also did 100 lunges.

All that being said, I'm disappointed in myself.  I scarfed food even when I wasn't hungry today, and I didn't get around to a second run on the treadmill.  I wanted to, and actually just got off the treadmill minutes ago.  But after being on it for 3 minutes, I felt like I was going to collapse, and it's way past my bedtime.  I think my body was going to revolt badly if I tried another run when I'm so physically and mentally exhausted.

So I hopped right off and came to post this before going to bed.

I've got to do better!!!!!!!  AGH!

epicamazing :  That's... incredible!!!  Six minutes?  I think my mile took me 10 minutes this morning.    I need to monitor what I eat more closely, also.

How long have you had the shoulder pain?

Well.... good night friends.  I've got to do better!!!!

Well, I've always been a runner, and when I join cross country and track I'll need to get it down to at least 5:30, if not 5 minutes.
I worked out this whole week minus last Saturday, Sunday and Friday, as the school gym wasn't open those days.
Been adhering to my diet alright. Had 2 sodas this week + a bunch of garlic bread though, sometimes I just can't help myself, aha
As for the shoulder pain, it's still there, and I still can't do push-ups. Thankfully my pe teacher is a somewhat forgiving person~

Despite not doing a lot of workouts and such, I'm losing weight! I've lost like 9 lbs in 3 weeks. XD If I keep this up, I'll be at my goal in no time!

I didn't do too much today in the form of exercise.  I got on the treadmill for 25 minutes, going 5.5mph for 15 minutes (1% incline) and 3.5mph for the other 10 minutes (still 1% incline).  According to my treadmill, I 'traveled' 2 miles and burned 309 calories.

On the other hand, I did do a lot more things healthier.. I only ate... a whole bunch of cherries, one biscuit, and maybe a quarter of a bowl of rice.  On top of that, I had three protein shakes and a couple of strawberries.  Oh yes, and like 3 jalapeno poppers.  Strangely enough, I really didn't feel all that hungry today.

I also set up my 'exercise' room so that I can start using the Tap Out! program my husband bought me a year ago.  :/

How are you guys doing?  Hopefully better than I am, but I'm trying to get back into it!  I promise!

Oh, and mrfe...what's your secret?!?!
Congrats!  You're doing... wow... fantastic!

mrfe :  Because I messed up the last summon.

So after eating breakfast, I weighed myself in at 177.6 pounds.  It doesn't surprise me that I haven't lost any weight since I haven't been consistent, but I kept my moxy and I worked out today!  2 days in a row, and let's hope I can do more!

I tried Tap Out! for the first time today and let me tell you.... WOW. Just. ..... WOW.  I couldn't even do half of the stuff they were doing, but as the workout guy kept encouraging, I did my best.  I was sweating like..... bucket loads after 10 or so minutes, and I was definitely feeling the burn.  There's a whole workout set, with different DVD's to do on different days.  It's a 90 day program, but I couldn't make it through Day 1.  Day 1 was a Core workout totaling 45 minutes, but I only got through 25 before I just couldn't do any more.

My body is... so... sore!  LOL  Instead of starting with Day 2 tomorrow, I'm going to try and complete Day 1 from beginning to end.  That's going to completely take it out of me, but I want to try!  The Tap Out! program also comes with a suggested meal plan for the 90 days, but I don't think I can stick to it due to limited budget and traveling capability.

They also have a 10 day 'quick shot' kind of thing, where you follow the program and diet for 10 days, but I'd rather just go through the whole thing.

Oddly enough the program suggests NOT weighing yourself every day.  They want you to weigh yourself every ten days or so, and to take a 'before' and 'after' shot.  You guys think I should do this? XD You get a free T-shirt if you send them the photos after. hehe.

It's meant for muscle building and weight loss, and although I'm more interested in losing my extra weight, I certainly won't complain about being more fit!

So to summarize my workout today:
--25 minutes on the treadmill.  Burned 288 calories and 'traveled' 2 miles.  (16 minutes at 5.5mph and 1% incline, 9 minutes at 3.5mph and 1% incline)

I find it odd that I did more minutes at a faster pace today, but my treadmill says I lost fewer calorie.  I guess the treadmill keeps track of how many minutes in a row you work at a faster speed?  Yesterday I mostly did 4 minutes run then 2 minutes rest , and today I mostly did 3 minutes run and 1 minute rest.

Also, I'm finding it more difficult to work on the treadmill.  Since gaining 20 pounds in 3 months (:/) I've put a lot of weight up top... and that weight feels like it's been used as a punching bag for three weeks.  Bruised and sore, jogging is becoming a real (physical) pain.  I would have done 45 minutes if it weren't for that pain.

--25 minutes on Tap-Out!, the Day 1 advised video.  Although it doesn't tell you how many calories you burned, I'd feel confident in saying I burned at LEAST the same amount I burned on the treadmill, if not more.  I'm already feeling sore.... so I can only imagine what I'm going to feel like in the morning!

So I'm going to make a 'safe' estimate and say I burned around 500 calories today.

My diet today?  Lots of cherries, 1 bananas, 2 protein shakes, a chicken biscuit and some fries.  And a large cup of water while exercising.
Not too bad, I think..

(okay, okay, I give in.  and 6 starbursts....)

Singelli : That's totally awesome! Nice job, sounds like it's really working for ya! Keep it up!

I have been very busy, but I'm making a plan that won't allow me to give excuses (hopefully). All I've done recently is building 100lbs shelving units, moving 30lbs bags of this or that, etc. No real workouts...

I didn't think I'd be able to... but I did it guys!  I finished the first day video of Tap Out.  I really didn't think I'd be able to, and I'm shaky at the moment... but I did it!  There were one or two exercises I absolutely could not do, but I made up my own simple version for each of those.  For example, at the end, the exercise guy told everyone to do 10 push-ups, 10 'kick ins' (I don't know what to call them), then 9 push ups and 9 kick ins, then 8 push ups and 8 kick ins, etc.

I can't even do one push up, much less at the speed they were going at!  So I just tried the kickin things.  I probably only did between 20 and 30 though.

I'm looking forward to day 2, if I'm not so sore I can't move, tomorrow!

I didn't do so good on food today.  2 bananas, 2 strawberries, 2 protein shakes, 2 glasses of water, a donut, a bag of "Bud's Best" cookies, and a salad with bacon and ranch.  Haha.

I eat like a bird.... -.-

What about you guys?  I'm pooped!

I don't want to keep posting in my own thread back to back, so I just decided to edit yesterday's post since I AM trying to keep track of this.
Today I was still around 177 pounds.  I did day two of the program and realized I've been typing it incorrectly this whole time.  LOL  It's  TapouT XT.   Day 2 was an hour long, but I don't feel as though I put much effort into it... mainly because I couldn't even half-butt most of the moves they were trying.  He LOVES doing push up stuff, so I just end up inventing something that's sort of similar without doing a push up. Or I do a stupid push up be not holding my entire body up and using my hips to help push up.  (Butt up in the air kinda push ups)

I can definitely feel the soreness in my stomach though, so maybe I'm not doing so bad.  Today's workout was centered around strength, too, so my arms also hurt.

I wanted to do do treadmill as well, but I spent most of the day at work.

I DID do better with my eating.  Four strawberries, a little wheel of cheese, 3 protein shakes, 2 glasses of water, and a pre-frozen lobster ravioli bisque thingie. Delicious!  ^.^

Since I have 7 (mostly) free days, I'm going to try to increase my exercise load!  I'm still surprised I haven't even seemed to lose half a pound.  My disorder DOES come with a side of minor effects, and one of those is having difficulty in losing weight.  I stopped taking both pills several months ago, so I wonder if that's why I lost weight easier before, but I seem to be failing now.

Singelli : A good suggestion is trying to do some exercise before bed time. It can give you a little extra fitness from your day and burn off some of those calories you ate. Even if it's just doing crunches. That's what I do and my belly is going down and getting toned.

I ran about 15 miles last week, it feels great to be back in the groove. The school gym should open for the Summer soon, too. On Saturday I had 2 slices of pizza, 3 breadsticks and a bunch of candy though, there goes all my hard work lol.

SunflowerGaming :  I'm horrible at doing crunches, but I HAVE been doing my exercises late at night!  Only bad part about that is that I always feel too tired to shower afterwards. XD

epicamazing :  15 miles?  Phewee!  I need to keep that kind of motivation!  Pass some on to me!
Our school never kept the gym open for students to use during the summer.... that's pretty cool!

I did really bad, food wise... for the past two days.  Today wasn't AS bad, but yesterday certainly was!  I'm not even going to post what I ate.  lol

I was rather proud of myself in terms of exercise though.  I did treadmill AND TapouT.  Go me!  I wasn't even feeling motivated!

45 minutes on the treadmill: 30 minutes @ 5.5 mph and 1% incline, 15 minutes @3.5 mph and 1% incline.
According to the treadmill, I ran (or jogged, rather!) a distance of 3.62 miles, and burned 527 calories.

I also did 40 minutes of the Day 1 TapouT video. I cut out the last five minutes because there's just no way I can do it.  He has them do 10 push ups, then 10 push ups/inward kick things..... then 9 of each, then 8 of each... etc... all the way down to 1 of each.  I can't even do a single push up, much less match their pace....

Singelli : They have so many different ways you can do crunches. You can even find some that you can do laying on your back.

epicamazing :  I'm trying to run 4ish miles every day.  Or at least, I WAS trying to. Then work came and has made me so busy that I'm having a really, REALLY hard time making.... well... making time to keep my commitment.  I wonder if you and I could actually keep in touch to make sure we're both doing it every day?  Maybe we could set up a time and send each other a text or something to encourage each other to do our run?

Don't feel bad about saying no... just an idea! I've been doing that with a lady from Texas for my strength training, and it's really helped us both keep on track and not make excuses!

I didn't know you were working out with an interest to join the army!  I have the same interest!

I'm really struggling with this, you guys. I really should be exercising every day, but I let work overwhelm me and stress me out, and then I feel like I don't have enough time for it.  I NEED to make the time though.  I worked so hard over the three months before school and lost 14 pounds! However, in the past 7 weeks or so, I've only kept to my 'routine' maybe five times, and I've gained 4-5 of those pounds back.

It's pathetic.

Is there truly nobody who's interested in being an accountability partner?  I do find that it helps. Even though we might not be able to do things together in PERSON, we live in an amazing world full of technology.  We could do anything ranging from web chatting during a certain exercise at a certain time, to just texting about it and reminders to do it...... to simply posting here.

Even seeing others post here, or having people gently remind me... is helpful.  Is there anyone else that wants to get fit and would be willing to commit themselves to such a friendship/partnership.

If there's not.. then there's not. I'd still like to see people post their daily exercise here.  It's interesting to see what other people do.

I personally didn't do anything today though.

Local Mods :

Welp, I really enjoyed this thread and felt very passionate about it. It helped me in so many ways and I loved hearing about what other people were up to. In fact, it was kind of a small hope of mine that enough people would participate that this could be an item worth sticky-ing. However, it seems to have run its course.

Rest well, lovely thread.

(In case I wasn't clear, can you close this, local mods?)
