As you guys probably know, they have a McDonalds game of Monopoly every October.  I love the idea of the competition, but I've never won anything...  Have you guys ever won anything from the McDonalds Monopoly draw contest thing?  (Or whatever it's officially called...)

I've won free food several times... and once a non-food prize, but I forget what it was now since it's been like 10 years since I've even played.

I've always loved the idea of it as well!  We don't eat out much though, and my husband just went and got some.  I was like "Oh they're doing the monopoly thing again!!!"

Then we peeled all the things back and....
Yeah, nothing won. *Sighs* LOL

My dad gave a ton of pieces for free food to me last year. If there had been a McDonalds anywhere near me (that I knew of) I would've cashed them in, but I never did. I've never seen a piece win a non-food prize, though, but that's alright. I'm a big fan of food.

Also, I had no idea that this was something they did every October. That's cool to know.

Actually Every McDonalds Monopoly in the UK (which is where I live) happens on March but I am going off topic right now. I have never won a McDonalds Monopoly but I have won some Food Prizes and I always play it every year.

I have in the past, but that was when McDonalds still had quality food. Now I stick almost exclusively to Burger King for burgers.

I won free food an awful lot. :/

I think the only thing that my family ever won from McDonald's Monopoly was free food and drink. I think we /might/ have gotten a $20 gift once, but I can't say for sure. Either way, I think the 1 in 4 thing is BS because it counts the free food & drink - which isn't much.

I got a free McDouble and a Frappe last time I went, that was, before I went yesterday. Got a twenty piece chicken with four game pieces on it, and none of them were winners.

It's a ripoff. There's no one I know that has won anything from it. There's clearly some advertising loophole.

Actually, the trick to McDonalds Monopoly is geography. What they do is they make the game pieces and send them out to specific places. Example:

30 Copies of Property A will be made.
30 Copies of Property B will be made.
30 Copies of Property C will be made.

Arizona will get 20 Copies of Property A, 10 Copies of Property C, and 1 Copy of Property B.
Colorado will get 9 Copies of Property A, 1 Copy of Property C, and 20 Copies of Property B.
New York will get the rest. (1 Copy of A, 9 Copies of B, and 19 Copies of C.)

So to actually have a real chance of getting the ones that you need/want you have to buy/trade them with/from other people from different parts of our little country. It used to be a pretty big thing on eBay - until eBay banned the buying & selling of them.

I won a free Big Mac meal from it, it was actually great.

I live in Kansas. Every year, I got the common $1million ticket here. Then I fly to New York to get the common one there. Last, I fly to LA to get the common one there. Because of this, I have won $1million every year........ that's how I roll

I didn't win anything, but I almost did.

It happened last year when had a 1,000,000 dollar sticker on the back of my fries. I had to get another one of those stickers in order to win though. 

i hate what happened when i tried to win this i was 1 off on lots of stuff but my dad was being cheap and only bought stuff that was on the vouchers that he had so we only got like 1 or 2 thingys i bet if he go stuff that had more then we could have won something

Actually, yes, I have. I would win free drinks, ice cream, and apple pies on a regular basis.
