I'm looking for those songs that make you stop and close your eyes and sing to Him.  The songs that cause you to stop and just worship our AWESOME God.

I have a whole bunch, but I'll list one at a time.  I think one of my first picks would be "Hallelujah" by Alvin Slaughter.  It's chilling!

EDIT: Since no one else has posted a response yet, I just have to post this song that I'm currently listening to: "Here I am to Worship".  It doesn't matter who sings this song...this song makes me weep.

Oh bless the name of the Lord with me now for He is worthy to be praised.  I personally LOVE to lift up the name of the Lord.  I listen to gospel music all day every day.  One in particularly, "Don't Let Him Down" - Pilgrim Jubilees.  I love listening to the Mississippi Mass Choir as well.  I also sing and praise his name with instruments and in song.  Glory To God.

XxFlutterXShyxX :  That song Gungor is stunning! It took me about half a minute to really get into it because I didn't like the beginning half minute.  However, that chorus is beautiful, and half way through the song I was singing right along with it!  The video too, is great!  It matches the song, and I particularly liked how the song was emphasized by the natural imagery. Just.. Wow, thanks!!!

Your "Holy One" link didn't work, so I'm just posting it here for everyone else.  It was also good, though not as good as the Gungor song, in my opinion.

ADd_n_M :  I'd heard the Revelation Song before and I have to say I agree. She has an absolutely stunning voice, but the song itself is lovely.

I like the "Audience of One" Song simply because there are so few modern songs that direct their words -directly- to God.  Thank you for the suggestion!  The lyrics were very good and valuable!  I'm not a fan of that type of music because to me it all sounds the same, but I added it to my play list just because the lyrics are so great.

Grace Like Rain was not what I was expecting when you said it was 'upbeat', but it was very nice as well.  LOL  It reminds me of one of my favorite songs, "Amazing Grace" by Acappella just because it's the same song, but done very very differently.  (Just make sure you listen to it past the first 2 minutes and 15 seconds to get to the good part!)    What I liked about Todd's version was that the song was slow enough and 'careful' enough that you can actually -appreciate- the words.  Normally, Amazing Grace is just one of those songs that you can sing without thinking about it because it's so familiar. Changing the music so drastically really gave it a whole new feel.

Before listening to each of your suggestions, I was listening to "Having you There" by the Mississippi Mass Choir.  What a beautiful song!  The lyrics may seem a bit simple, but I love them.  "Having You there made the difference!" is a VERY impactful statement!!!!

I have about 80 songs in my play list but since I listen to it all day long, every day, I need more!  I'm so excited by all this wonderful music, and I've been praising God through song and dance thanks to all of these wonderful suggestions!  Keep them coming please!!!

God simply got me out of bed today!  He allowed me to get to my job safely!  He made sure my day was smooth and that I didn't face anything I could not handle!  He was there as I managed my classroom.  He was there as I graded papers. And He was there while I monitored tests and hallways.

Very inspirational.

Ever since I listened to I Worship You a few days ago, I can't get it out of my head.  I've heard it before and it's in my play list, but the list is so extensive that usually I don't get that far into it.  This song has a nice peaceful feeling to it, and it puts me in the mind of genuine worship.  It's quite lovely and I'd suggest anyone who likes slower worship to listen to it.

I know it's a Christmas song, but you should check out "What child is this" by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. It isn't the classic Christmas song that you know by the same name. It's a new twist on the classic, but the lyrics are all changed so it is from Mary's point of view, and later changes to a modern day view. This song makes me cry everytime I hear it, and you can't help but be moved to a place of worship. It reminds you of God's grace and love, and the sacrifice He made. Beautiful song.

Yeah Lecrae is good. Surprisingly he does bring worship into his stuff a lot, which is something it seems most Christian rap artists fail to do. Not that they're bad though.
