It has been announced on May 24th, that a new Castlevania game will be coming soon to the Nintendo 3DS. This new game will be the sequel to Castlevania: Lord of Shadows. This new Castlevania may also be released for the Wii U as well as other platforms. However this week has been littered with rumors that it has been hard to figure out what is fact or what is just wishful thinking from fellow gamers. Things from the revised Wii U Controller to the Star Fox/ Metroid Crossover have been announced and since E3 is only a couple of days away its hard to tell if we are just getting our leg pulled with all these announcements.

This new Castevania game will be called Mirror of Fate and will star two playable characters in what will be a 2D game play. This game will also feature a co-op play. Reports say that this new game will use the forward-facing camera will be like some sort of mirror and the outward facing one will be use for the new puzzle-solving mechanic that the game will introduce.

Another Rumor is being told that there will be a cross platform release of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. The Wii U’s version will have 3DS connectivity and will have an upgraded port of the PS3 and Xbox 360 built in

It's cool that they are coming out with a new Castlevania. I guess it was only a matter of time. If I ever get a 3DS, I'm sure I will pick this game up.

I love the original version of Castlevania, but it was to difficult for me to beat. I hope the 3DS version is going to be good as the original one. Also I hope they keep the same difficulty in the first one too.
