My sister went to the movie theater and watched Twilight. When she came back home she was obsessed with the main character Edward. She was on the internet looking at pictures of him and getting all the books from the library and she said her friends were obsessed too. She even asked for an Edward poster for Christmas. How can I get her to stop? I'm getting her the soundtrack because everyday I hear Rap and Hip Hop coming out of her room and would love her to listen to something else.

Yeah, that whole thing died out in my school after about 2 days so we didn't really have to act. My suggestion, buy her the soundtrack to get her to stop listening to the junk called modern day rap. But try to get her to do things to get her mind off of that weirdo from the stupid movie, obsessing over things is never good

You can't get her to "stop". It's like a drug, effects will happen if you immediately stop her.

It's a phase thing, it will go away, don't worry.

Not sure there is a cure for this... lots of people have this obsession with celeb's and it is kinda funny. They aren't gods or communists so why worship them?

Yeah, the whole Twilight obsession is really getting irritating. It's nice to know I'm not the only person who believes it. I mean, the books were actually not bad, but once it started to be a total franchise, it got to be really irritating. As a high school student, not a day goes by that I don't see someone straddling a copy of one of the novels, which they are only reading because of the movie, or wearing the t-shirt that they only bought to fit in, or making a reference that gets under my skin. In fact, I was so discouraged by the hype, that I just decided to give up on the books. I mean, if people are going to think I'm just reading it for the pop culture, there's really no point. My goal in life is to fit in, but when something that was supposed to be a niche thing becomes mainstream, it actually loses its allure, and a lot of people tune out.
Hope the Twilight obsessive gets better soon, and realizes that she's basically being just like everyone else...
Still, the soundtrack is way better than hip-hop. I'll give everyone that bit of positivity.

I hate to break it to you guys but the obsession is about to get even worse.

The New Moon trailer came out last night during some MTV event.... so the twilight freakouts are probably just going to get worse as the second movie gets closer.

OH GOD! ANOTHER ONE?! Soon people will be obsessing over it again, and to think everything had settled down for a few months
