Why are people praising the dad? Doesn't daddy know that children rebel and don't listen to their parents, they like to learn from their own mistakes. Having guns around doesn't help either, too bad he didn't think about the after effects of doing this video. Could have caused the child to commit suicide or could have caused her to flip and kill her family with a gun that is randomly laying around house.

I don't blame her, with a parent like that its no wonder she rebelled. Some parents are way to strict and that just makes it that much easier to rebel against them. He probably likes to shoot innocent animals for fun.

The child needed an outlet for her rage and she used facebook. Nothing wrong with that but it goes to show you that if you want to vent do it anonymously which is where I will soon come in

I saw that video, and I honestly was laughing through out the entire thing. It was really kind of ridiculous what he did, and it probably wasn't the best way to deal with what happened.

I know I wouldn't got that far as to publicly humiliate my daughter on Youtube, and then shoot her laptop several times.

Although she didn't really have a right to post what she dd on Facebook.

IM GLAD HE DID THE VID AND THE DEATH OF THE LAPTOP. HOPEFULLY IT WILL LET PARENTS WAKE UP AND PAY SOME MORE ATTENTION TO THEIR KIDS AND THEIR GOINGS-ON WITH COMPUTERS. KIDS ARENT STUPID, THEY MAY KNOW THAN THE PARENTS WITH THIS STUFF.

Well, it is now official. Zimmerman is being charged with Second Degree murder. I just though some people would like to know about this, so I looked for like, 5 minutes to find this thread.

Hey, can you post some news links, that would be a fairly interesting read. I never would have actually thought that guy capable of doing such. I think his arrest is a bad influence on his daughter though, who will most likely revert to her old bad habits.

Whoa, slow down there speed racer. That was a completely different story. This thread is about the father who recorded a video of himself shooting his daughter's laptop because she was complaining about him on facebook. He then uploaded the video to Youtube, and posted on her facebook page telling her friends. beautiful_nightmare was asking if we thought he had the right to punish his daughter like this. Mark Zimmerman was not talked about in this thread at all.

That's some interesting stuff. For one that's pretty bad, I would not let him do that. I don't really approve what he's doing.

And Zimmerman is in hiding, but there's no reason to assume he took off. He isn't scheduled to make an appearance in court until today. Unless he misses that court date, there's nothing suspicious about him hiding at all (especially with all the hatred directed at him).

I'd say he handled the situation quite well. In my opinion, I'm kinda surprised because usually some parents don't even/ refused to get involved at all in the matter. It was also hilarious.

I think he has the right to do that for a few reasons. First and foremost, that man is her father and that is his money he spent on her laptop so technically it was his and he chose to do with it the way he wanted to. She probably knew her father was strict and if you know your father is going to get angry and be strict then you probably should smarten up and not break the rules that he sets. I do NOT agree with the grounding until college unless college is not too long a time from now. If I had to give that girl a punishment it would go like this: You can have a laptop when you buy it yourself. That would be my punishment. I don't find the need to make her miserable and depressed. If she did something she wasn't supposed to ON HER LAPTOP I reason that if you remove the laptop from the equation then she can't make the same mistake she did last time.

That....was....beautiful. I can't stand teenagers like her who think they have it so tough when they really have the easiest lives in the world. When I heard she had to sweep the floor, wipe the counters, wash the dishes with a dishwasher, and make her bed I almost died laughing at her. I grew up washing loads of dishes by hand, hauling wood, cleaning the entire house besides my parents' room and my sisters' rooms, and basically raising my little sisters, and I have nothing but respect for my parents for making me do those things. They helped me prepare for life. This girl is one of the most ungrateful people I've ever met.

Also, have to hand it to the dad. That was one of the most bada** things I've ever seen in my life.

beautiful nightmare : I've heard this everywhere, daddy shoots a laptop, everyone goes nuts, he is a good dad, it's her fault. She wanna be a brat, he gonna be a brat.

    I watched this some time ago, but yes, I like the way he handled it. I also though it was pretty funny but at the same time I kind felt bad for her even though she was acting like a total brat that video will be online forever. I will be hard to move on from that unscathed. Hopefully she learned her lesson and is a better person for it.  Maybe if he just toned it down a little. Like kept it a little more private.
