(500,000 x 2000= 1,000,000,000 lbs.) The steel support columns were warped on impact, and the fire pretty much took all life out of the steel support columns. Also, the building was designed to withstand a 5,000 t (5,000 x 2,000= 10,000,000 lbs) lateral load. Even if the Boeing 747 (a measly 600,000 lbs) was at it's top speed (Which it wasn't) couldn't have tipped over a building like that. With the uneven distortion of the columns, a collapse was imminent.
