Okay I live in Fredericksburg, and for the past 2 years the snow we have gotten was light and powdery and we didn't get any snow days which I think is always a nice added bonus (except for the fact that you will have to make them up later in the year) But this year we got a couple of days off, We got a max amount of 8 inches of snow, which was nothing compared to the 33 inches I received in 2009. We got so many days off. But I also got some days off because of hurricane Irene for like 2 days before Halloween. So, I enjoy extra days off, it is a nice bonus, I just don't like making them up later in the year.

When I used to live up around the Appalachian Mountains, it's snows and ices here and there and it's always hilly where I used to live and they cancel school lots of times, I lost count on how many times they closed my school down because of snow and ice.

At my secondary school we had about two a year if we were lucky but my college is never shut, they say it is because we can still collect the work from teachers via moodle and do the work in college and put it in the teachers office if they are not in.
