It all depends on what you want to program.  If you want to make websites, I recommend PHP, if you want to make programs, I recommend C+ or C#, if you want to make games, I recommend Flash / Actionscript 3.0

That's a really tough question.  I love the Retro Game Room because it offers everything I could ever want in a retro gaming website.  However, I do think the community itself is what I like the most because there's always someone active on, most everyone is friendly and the environment is overall a very pleasant one.

ElectroGirl : I prefer a lot of Instrumental stuff like Video Game music.  I also enjoy Classical and some types of Orchestra music.  The only music that I listen to with Lyrics is usually Christian music.  I don't listen to a ton of music but when I'm programming it requires a ton of focus and concentration so lyrics usually are a distraction so that's when listening to something instrumental is perfect.
