A couple days ago I got back into Final Space to prepare myself for the season premiere, which was yesterday. It's one of my favorite shows of all time.

I have recently been watching the persona 5 animated series with my boyfriend. Slowly but surely since he is also working on the game as well, but we wanted to see how the animation was too.

The last one I watched was probably this last Amazing Race season. I've never watched the show before but for their 31st season they brought in teams from all 3 of CBS' big reality shows (Survivor, Big Brother, Amazing Race) to compete against each other.

I'm not an Amazing Race fan and I have only ever watched bits and pieces of Big Brother, but I am a HUGE Survivor fanatic and have watched all 38 seasons of the show, so I was very happy to tune in to this latest Amazing Race season. There were a total of 3 Survivor teams; Corinne & Eliza (love both of them), Rupert & Laura (Rupert is an OG reality TV LEGEND so they were really fun to watch) and Chris & Bret (Hugely underrated and together they are hilarious as f***).

I won't spoil how the season went but it went as predicted sadly, though I love the winners and still had a blast watching the thing. Don't think it converted me to an Amazing Race fan but I can appreciate the show a lot more now.

Okay so I'm a huuuuuge survivor nerd and that not only includes the US version of the show but also other international versions. I've watched the Dutch version (not that great tbh, which is disappointing seeing how that's the only one I have a shot of getting on), I've watched some of the South African version's seasons (not the current one though, I'll have to get into it at some point). Their last one was really fantastic. I've also watched the New Zealand version for both of its seasons, and while I consider the worst english speaking one it's still alright.

But the real god, or should I say champion here is Australian Survivor.

When they had their first season in 2016 I found it overhyped and mediocre compared to the US version, which has been going down the s***hole recently, and I still craved for some of that old-midschool US survivor vibe. When Australian Survivor released their 2017 season I was hesitant on watching it but I had nothing better to do so I decided what the hell and tuned in. Best decision I made that year probably. The season blew me away and had everything I had been wanting in US survivor for years. Amazing unique challenges, well balanced editing, everyone being fun characters, longer episodes and the host really stepping up a notch from the previous season. It really revitalized how I felt about survivor as a franchise.

US survivor has since released one really good season being Season 37 (David vs Goliath) but all the other ones have been, mediocre or worse I guess.

And that brings us to the present, where Australian Survivor 2019 is airing, and it continues the Champions vs. Contenders theme from last year (stopped watching that one). So far the first episode went up like today and I absolutely loved it. The players/characters look a lot more fun than last year and they even brought back one of my all time Survivor favorites in Luke Toki. Really rooting for him and Pria for the most part. Can't remember most of the contenders so far except for the guy that puked, John the gold miner and the (fake) golf hobbyist, Andy I think? Could be wrong.

I'm hoping it'll be as good as 2017.

The last show I watched was an episode of Friends while I ate leftover food from dinner earlier today. I've rarely watch Friends (and TV in general for that matter), but I can see why a lot of people like it so much.

So episode 2 of Australian Survivor 2019 came out this week and I watched that while eating cookies

My favorites from episode 1 remained in the game, and all of them were amazing this episode as well. Luke was funny as hell and showed his strategic side as well, on top of finding the only idol clue currently in the game. Pia was a little more quiet but she's fun and has positive energy. John the gold miner didn't do much but he was funny whenever Jonathan LaPaglia talks to him. Andy was once again the most strategic Contender, although Harry pleasantly surprised me this episode.

Matt, while I initially thought he was an annoying meathead, showed some strategic game as well as he followed the majority instead of going with his own preference. Baden was fun and I'm glad he stayed around, especially because, no offense to her, Laura seemed kind of like a b****.

Can't wait for next week with episodes 3&4, because yes, they have 2 episodes a week that have like 2 hours of gameplay

Oh and the challenges were amazing, way better than the American version.

Okay so I must have been mistaken when it came to the dates of Australian Survivor episodes. Apparently this week they went all the way up to episode 5 so I had the pleasure of binging 3 episodes in a row, all like almost 2 hours long.

Episode 3 started with me being worried that the all sports people alliance Steven Bradbury started was going to just dominate that tribe, because all my favorite champions weren't in it. Thankfully Luke and David worked their magic and swayed Ross and Abbey to go with the outsiders and utterly blindside Suzie and the rest of the sports alliance.

In episode 4 I was feeling fantastic as my favorite people were running the game, and that they did. Abbey got in a nasty little fight with Steven Bradbury, but thankfully they decided to target Nova instead of him, much to my pleasant surprise (Nova was hella annoying to me haha).

Episode 5 was amazing. A lot of talking and scheming on the champions tribe, a beautiful reward, some amazing strategies surrounding idols and swapping a fake for a real one, and it all ended in a unanimous vote for the legend Steven Bradbury. Grade S survivor here.

When it comes to the characters, I was pleasantly surprised that they made Luke and Andy quiet down a bit, so they wouldn't be overbearing compared to the rest of them.

Over all on the contender tribe I've so far gotten to know Andy, Baden, Daisy, John, Matt, Sarah and Shaun. Harry had his moments in episode 2 so the only 3 I know nothing about are Casey, Hannah and Sam.

On the champions tribe I've gotten to know and love every single person except Nova (who I got to know, but just didn't enjoy) and Simon. No clue who or what Simon is.

The challenges remain leagues above American Survivor. They are longer, harder, more unique and most importantly, they overall tend to favor different traits (some are physical, some are agility, some are mental). Much better compared to the "get bags, open bags, solve puzzle" type challenges the American Version always shows us. Can we also talk about how the Australian budget is way lower? Clearly shows to me the American Survivor team don't care about challenges, which could be a fun and important part of the game as the Australian version shows. The longer episodes also allow for better editing and storytelling, both as overarching stories get told over multiple episodes as well as the one-off stories we get to see every new episode.

Looking forward to next week's bunch. I'm anticipating a tribe swap in three-ish votes or so.

The last TV show that I watched (Netflix Documentary in particular) was F1: Drive to Survive.

I've only watched the first 3 parts (out of 10) but currently I'm really enjoying it. It's kind of a behind the scenes filming of last years F1 season, which I half followed, and it's great getting to catch up on what happened last year.

I've become quite hooked to Castle as of late. That blend of funny crazy theories from a famous writer coupled with the seriousness of the police department is quite entertaining.

I've started season 4, which is when happened a change in the boss' office. I want to try and see if I can watch all episodes with the new boss rather than the former, because it looked more friendly compared to his more strict successor (which also dislikes the writer being on the team, whereas the former was the one who got him to join them).

Not sure if I have access to all episodes, but I don't mind. I'm just watching it because of nothing better to watch at lunch time, and this will probably be over by the end of summer break.

FXX has been doing a Simpson's Holiday marathon for the last week. All the episodes in order from start to finish. I've been recording all the best episodes onto my DVR. Right now they are currently on season 7. I think we have another 2 or 3 seasons before it takes a big dip in quality.

Also I'm a huge fan of Bob's Burgers,Archer,Last Week Tonight, MST3K (Their studio was 15 mins from my house back in the day)

Also if no one has watched it,Code Monkeys used to be on G4 and it was hilarious. Was a cartoon about a video game company in the 80's. It's only 2 seasons but they really dropped the ball when they didn't renew that show,no wonder the channel no longer exists.

Now that I found out that this show is on Netflix, I've been watching one of my most favorite Cartoon Network shows of all time. We Bare Bears.

When it first came out, I watched it and instantly knew that it was a great show and I can't believe the stuff that they get away with considering it's a Cartoon Network show. I've been watching season 3 and early on there were 4 crazy episodes. One where the bears get robbed as kids, one where they are afraid that bear hunters are after them, one where they kidnap a college professor, and one where one of them has a psychotic stalker.

The show gets intense man.

The last show I saw was The Gifted. I really liked the first season, but I found the second one somewhat disappointing. Especially the first half of that season, when it felt like the plot was going nowhere. After that it became better, but overall it was still a let down. While I personally would still give the show another shot, it isn't really surprising that it got canceled.

zanderlex : I used to love Regular Show on Cartoon Network for those very reasons. You could tell when they would use a stand in for beer because they would put a paper bag over a soda can and when they ate too many hot wings they would act like they were all baked. I love this little inside jokes that only the adults would get.

BTW I dunno when it's coming out but JG Quintel is supposed to have a new show coming out on TBS which is pretty much a Regular Show successor but instead of animals they are people. Mordicai was always based on JG anyway as he did the voice for him and it was based on his interactions as a teenager. Now it's his life right now as a young father. The trailer has been online for awhile and I've been chomping at the bit for them to tell us when season one is dropping.

Blacksmith84 : His new show should have been released a long time ago. The trailer came out almost 3 years ago.

Awesome-Kid : Yeah that's Scientology for you. They don't use that name but he left the show over the "Trapped In the Closet" episode where they roasted Scientology. That whole episode of the "Adventure Club" is based on Chef leaving the show over them making fun of Scientology.

zanderlex : Yeah I don't know what the hold up is. Everywhere I have checked says it's still coming but there is this huge delay for some reason. "Final Space" is another fantastic show they came out with around the same time they announced it and they just finished season 2 up not too long ago. If it's one thing Turner networks do well it's animation shows,I just wish they would quit it already with that damn Teen Titans GO! Yeah..Teen Titans GO..AWAY!

The last show I watched was Love O2O (2016). I thought the show was just okay.
