So today this morning instead of going to the usual site I went to the internet archive, they actually have the 1988 Primetime Emmy Awards which aired on FOX, man it's so weird to see the FOX Network without the Simpsons (yes I know Tracy Ullman existed) I wish the show was on youtube though especially since a user by the name of Candy Pants LLC uploaded a bunch of emmy awards on his channel and man they were a nostalgic treat, I was so surprised at how NON-POLITICAL they were, I'm serious I watched the 1995 awards and was ready for them to tear OJ some new ones but they didn't, and the 1998 Emmys had a nice tribute to some pioneers (including this guy named Sherriff John who was essentially Mister Rogers before Mister Rogers was even on tv) but almost no Lewinsky scandal jokes

so what happened? when did they have to add politics to the monologues? my guess: W bush era (Conan didn't really bring politics in when he hosted in 2002)

also interestingly enough I could kind of pinpoint when they started doing the in memoriam segments (because the 1991 emmys are online as well and they didn't have an in memoriam segment, they had nice tributes for Michael Landon and Danny Thomas but no in memoriam though to be fair Melissa Gilbert did acknowledge some people who passed) it was around 1996

of course I haven't finished watching the show my mom was in the room when I was watching and she wanted to know who was speaking, she told me so many shows she liked were winning then, it does kind of bug me that so many streaming shows and stuff get more attention than network shows these days (Thank god Abbott Elementary got some attention)

Been watching a bit of Revolutionary Girl Utena again out of boredom. May be girly but it’s still good anime

I haven't been watching that much norm TV lately but season four of The Dragon Prince dropped last month. It's probably one of my 15 most favorite TV shows of all time and there was a three year gap between season three and four so there's been a lot of anticipation and hype.

I didn't get a chance to watch the whole season in November because of school, work, and Pokemon so plan on watching the final three episodes during winter break.

At the moment I'm currently watching Debby Ryan's Insatiable, I almost finished both seasons and I say with a full heart that this show is trainwreck after trainwreck, but it's still so addicting and enjoyable. They knew what they were doing, I'm sad to say as usual with actual good netflix shows it got cancelled so after I finished this season I'm done.

so this morning I finished a Royal Canadian Air Farce marathon that I started yesterday because I needed a new tradition since CBC opted to stop doing the Air Farce New Year's Eve specials

Tonight I think I'll watch the final Barbara Walters special ever (yeah it's kind of a dark way to describe the tribute special...sigh 2022 was a brutal one even my own laptop wasn't safe) because there's no hockey until tomorrow, Hudson and Rex won't be back until the 17th (I need my cop doggo show fix!!!) and I have no idea when Nancy Drew will return for it's final season...stupid Nexstar

Right now I'm watching this show called Jet Lag The Game. I tried watching the show earlier this year but couldn't really get into it but a couple weeks ago I watched the first episode of their newest season on Youtube and I really liked it. So I got a subscription to a streaming site called Nebula and started all the episodes for their current season and then went back and watched older episodes.

I'm a bit of an addict so I'm always watching something, sometimes I'll even do it while studying languages.

Recently I've been trying to get my girlfriend into anime through Attack on Titan and we've been working our way through Season 1. Currently we're at around episode 18, and I'm excited to get to the start of Season 2 where some major plot-twists happen that absolutely blew my mind when I watched it (anyone who has seen it will probably know what I'm referring to). Can't wait to see her reaction...

Other than that I've been watching a pretty mixed bag. Finished Blue Period some weeks ago, as well as finally having gone through all the seasons of Seinfeld. My latest triumph was mostly binging season 2 of Alice in Borderland, which was entertaining enough but not nearly as gripping as the first few episodes of Season 1. Also slowly working my way through Season 5 of The Office which I'll put on in the background when I'm working on something.

Could use a new anime or drama to watch though...

There wasn't really anything to watch yesterday, so I watched The View's tribute to Barbara Walters.

Tonight I may watch The Chase, man I wish it was the 17th already because Hudson and Rex will return from it's break finally


Or not....Dad didn't want to watch it even after I watched the world juniors, I hate that the show is on an extremely stupid time now

The last show i watched was The Dragon Prince. I actually just got into the show yesterday, finished the first season in one night (only 9 episodes). I really like it, I have a love for fantasy cartoons. Reminds a little of Avatar Franchise (not the movies).

I've been watching the new Netxlix show Kaleidoscope. I didn't really care for it but I really liked the concept where you can watch the show in any order so I gave it a shot and watched episode 4 and then episode 2 and I think it's okay so far.

I guess it's just Jets hockey I'm watching right now because it's sunday afternoon nothing else is on right now. I couldn't watch Hudson and Rex this morning because my mother was up first and had control over the TV

Yesterday I heard the news that Inside Job was getting cancelled even though the 2nd season was already greenlit months ago. I haven't gotten around to watching the 2nd part of the first season since that came out recently but I went in and watched the entire part in one go today. It's sad too because I think it's just a really good show that's like a cross between Gravity Falls and Futurama.

So I watched a little bit of the NCIS crossover, and tomorrow it looks like I will be watching the Golden Globe awards....I wish it was on on Sunday though because it's ridiculous that they have to show an awards show on a weekday
